A good canadian book! Finally!
Finnie Walsh. A book not only fun, but informative as well. This book, written by Steven Galloway is an awesome, book. Unlike the usual canadian books, it just great... If you like Hockey you'll love this book. If you don't like hockey you'll love this book. The book has relationships, between family, friends, and beaus. A wonderful, outstanding read.

Finnie Walsh is Amazing!
Finnie Walsh in my opinion was an eye opening experience it is by far the best book I have ever read and everything about it made me feel more interested. There is not a single bad thing I could say about it! The characters alone made the book, how you understood how they felt at diferent times, how they were perfectly described! This book made me laugh, cry and made me feel emotions that have never occured before in my mind! I couldn't put it down and I will continue to read it over and over again because everytime I am sure that I will recieve more and more happiness sadness and information from the text! I am getting it for everyone for Christmas and I hope that everyone will enjoy this story as much as I did!

Wonderful Story!
I picked up this book mainly because of my job working with high school teachers and students and ended up reading parts of it out loud to my own kids during a car trip. My 12 year old son was hooked, he read the book, then I finished it. It was amazing to have that 'secret book conversation' with my son. I/we both loved the book.

Bye-bye Let's Go, Hello Footprint
We started our five week tour of India with Let's Go India Nepal, and found the Footprint guide four weeks into our tour. After looking it over, we quickly realized how much detail, clarity, and completeness we were missing. We didn't open Let's Go again, other than to retrieve our bookmark.

Some of the telephone numbers were slightly off, but that is par for the course in India. The correct numbers were easily located via directory assistance, which the book informed us of.

We stayed at two of the highly recommended hotels between US$5 and US$6 a piece and were delighted by the overall quality and cleanliness we found.

Its descriptions of some of the sights surpassed even that of our tour guide.

We liked this guide so much that we now use Footprint guides for our travels wherever they are available and up to date.

WARNING: The guide warns that the prices for many tourist attractions will go up on Jan 1, 2001. They actually went up on October 18, 2000. Now at most major tourist sites in India, foreigners pay the same number of dollars as Indian's pay rupees.

Could not be better
I spent one month travelling all over India with the 1999 edition of the India Handbook and what a life saver it was. The book was fantastic with its information and right on the money everytime with hotel rates, ferry schedules, etc. The brief anecdotes were especially helpful and I really appreciated the open mind the book had quick not to judge a country full of many different aspects. The book was enlightening and in my hand all the time, but my mind was still open to new experiences which were not preconceived by the authors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to anyone who really wants to experience India in a different light!

A thoroughly well-researched guide.
The India Handbook is a thoroughly well-researched and detailed guide. The most informative guide on the market, it provides invaluable information which is useful to both the short and long-term visitor to India, particularly by the inclusion of accurate large and small scale maps. It is also strong and compact. However, perhaps the most appealing feature is it's direct and non-chatty text, packing important and need-to-know facts into a notey yet precise format, leaving the reader to form his/her own opinions on people and places.

Elegant and Informative
This book is a gem of simplicity and usefulness. It integrates anatomy, myofascial techniques, holistic thinking and traditional Chinese medicine meridien theory and also provides simple stretching and strengthening exercises to help patients move from pain to recovery. It's beautifully designed and illustrated; I especially love the calligraphic drawings of the exercises. As a massage therapist, I can say that it is now one of my favorite reference books.

Great book
This is a great book if you are trying to figure out referred pain patterns or ways for your client to help themselves at home. Good book to have on hand.

every massage therapist should own this.
great book that emphasize on learning to build one's skill in touch. great illustration pictures to master location of muscles. easy reference book to refer to in regard to figuring out possible trigger points for pain.

An expanded Elements of Style
The author expands on all those short items you may have read in Strunk & White's Elements of Style, with detailed explanations and numerous examples. I especially enjoyed reading about the writing process which included developing good writing habits and time management. It's one of those books you need to bring down off the shelf and re-read every once in a while.

A highly recommended course in one volume
In Keys To Great Writing, Stephen Wilbers covers every aspect of the craft of writing and shows the aspiring author how to develop a writer's "voice" that is unique, precise, and effective with their readership. Wilbers covers every aspect of writing from grammar to revision strategies, offering clear, effective information. Of special value to the novice writer are his: Four Mythos of Great Writing; The Elements of Style Checklist; The Elements of Composition Checklist; The Four-Step Writing Process; Glossary of Grammatical Terms; Proofreading Checklist; Four Common Errors in Word choice; Five Ways To Bring Music to Your Writing; and Fourteen Techniques to Eliminate Wordiness. Keys To Great Writing is a complete and highly recommended course in one volume and a valuable reference guide enabling writers to stand out with a distinctive style and literary presence all their own.

A MUST for everyone who wants to improve style
The author provides instant techniques and clever examples such as the emphatic effect of having a short and snappy sentence after a long one. Like this.

The "cleverest" book I have ever read.

Great story
Funny autobiography. A must-have for avid Alice Cooper fans.

Alice Rocks
I read this book on the internet. After reading it I was hungover for a week while consuming no alchohol that week. This book has lots of interesting information on the Alice Cooper band. Particulary from the mid to late 60's Before they hit it big. this book shows that bands today are no match for the A.C. Band. Also show's music at its most interesting time when Bands were aloud to have fun being a rock stars. The A.C. Band achieved this in spades while keeping the integrity of their raw, organic sound unlike popular music today. This book is like a welcome passport to that time and revisit a great band gone but not forgotten.

IT IS THE BEST!!!!!!
I am a huge fan of Alice and Me, Alice is a great book to read if you're like me. It tells you about his childhood and about his adulthood. I think all Alice lovers should read this book.

I'm glad I got this.
I had every issue ... of GI Joe but had to sell my collection to make ends meet. Now however I'll be able to enjoy the art, stories and memories I once had with these new paperbacks.Amazon has good shipping time and great prices for these books so get them here. I hope they end up reprinting all ...issues and [the] Special Missions.

He'll Fight For Freedom Wherever There's Trouble!!!!
This is Volume 1 of what i hope to be the entire Gi Joe Marvel Comic Book series reprinted in mind blowing digital color. Volume 1 covers Gi Joe issues 1-10, and I have already gotten Volume 2. for some reason amazon is not showing you the true cover art of the books which is just beautiful!!!! This takes me back to 1982, where Reagan was president, and the Russinas were still the scariest people on the planet and Eddie Murphy was still funny. This volume captures the sweet simplicity of mainstream comic books. All the heroes are good, and the villians are bad. No shades of grey in these here comic books!! Buy this volume. Savor the simplicity of a summer spent reading Gi Joe when it was first run. Don't think of it as marketing a new line of toys, cuz I'd like to think that that was not what the comic was about. it was just good ole fashioned Good VS Evil, and the fate of the world lay in the hands of the men and woman of the GI Joe Team.
YO JOE!!!

Perfect.
I got both volumes one and two. I read these cover to cover to relive the great adventures, rather then getting my original issues out of storage and risk damaging them. I hope Marvel reprints all 155 issues like this. I'll buy every one. Trust me, even though the comics are for a toy line, the stories are really adult and are quite entertaining.

I read both volumes while at work and ended up spending 6 hours lost in the pages.(It was a slow day!)

Teresa,coming out at 41,in Ohio
How to Be a Happy Lesbian:A Coming Out Guide descibes the beginning of a ... relationshipand how it's important to take the time to please your partner.I thought this was wonderful.I especially enjoyed the personal aspects of the authors telling about what happened to them.It made the reading more enjoyable--knowing they had "been there, done that" and this wasn't a "put tab A in slot B" kind of a book. Thanks again for writing this book.I learned alot and tried a few things I read in the "Romance and the art of making lesbian love chapter." They worked pretty good.

This guide is written from the heart
This book has a wonderfully casual and informative style. It dispels many myths and is packed with information that is pertinent to young women, especially the chapters on STDs and safer sex. Tracey Stevens and Katherine Wunder write like the warm and witty big sisters we all wish we had.

This guide is written from the heart
This guide is obviously written from the heart. The tone is gentle and supportive, a big sister encouraging other lesbians to love and accept themselves and live a full life, free of fear and shame. This is a much-needed book, one Stevens wishes had been available when she was younger and needed advice on how to "make it" in a predominantly homophobic world. It's not preachy, clinical, or cynical. It's readable, humorous, and, most important, kind. Plus, it's chock full of useful information and resources. Hooray for this courageous woman!

A solid pediatric reference book
This book covers all the key pediatric health topics that are likely to have you losing sleep in the middle of the night. It's a solid reference book, but it could be better organized. I found I had to do a fair bit of flipping around to find the information I needed. Still, it's a very good book and one that I have found very useful for my family.

A Wonderful Book for all New Parents
The KidsHealth Guide for Parents is a comprehensive and user-friendly guide that is a must-have for parents (the grandparents like it, too). It's filled with practical information that cover everything from basic baby care, breastfeeding & sleeping to routine health care and safety for kids through age 5, common illnesses, behavior and development, play, parenting tips, and more. A pleasure to read, and nicely organized - lots of interesting sidebars, charts, and brief sections that make the book easy to browse through and read in between feedings and changings (and the occasional nap!). Thank you!

A Fantastic Book!
As a father and a physician I have seen many guides written for new parents. I have been disappointed in most because of their redundancy and, often, lack of practical informatioxn. This book stands out as absolutely unique both in the quality and clarity of the writing but also because of its intuitive and almost uncanny relevance to the actual experience of being a parent. I would recommend no other resource to people who find themselves in this joyful and terrifying situation.

Play your way through Middle-Earth
This game is so awesome! It was the first RPG i ever played and i loved it. This game is so cool. It provides hours of entertainment and fun. You just choose your character and Play! It is so fun. (I've said that about a million times b/c it is.) So if you are bored this summer get this book!

The Lord of the Rings rocks!
I do not have this book but a friend of mine does and it rocks! We play this for hours non-stop. It provides hours of entertainment and fun. So if you are planning on buying this book but don't know its worth it, well take it from me it is way worth it. So dont exagerate pick up your copy today!

At last, a TRUE Roleplaying System for the LOTR...
Ok, let make this simple: this book is amazing!!. I was very concerned at first with the system: it use only d6 dices?, how the elves will be managed? and the magic?. All these questions worried me, but let me tell you: the system is great, flexible (like or more the d20 system) and simple. The races and character classes (order) are very well made and presented. Of course, the elves are superior, but thats does not mean that the other characters will not be relevant. The ROLE playing is what is relevant. And this book present wonderful opportunities for make many good roleplaying sesions.

The magic system (another big issue) is great also: is not to powerful, but powerful enough. It let you combine your magic, you do not need to "memorize" the spells, etc. But one thing is important to remember: forget about big balls of fire or dozens of magic rays creating havoc between your enemies... Think more of how Gandalf use the magic and you will have a more precise idea of how the system works... And you want to be a member of the Wizard Order? This book tell you how to achieve this.

One last word: the biggest challenge will be for the Narrator (or storyteller, DM, or whatever you call it). To create a wonderful story in the Middle Earth that capture the Tolkien mood without copy the books will not be easy, but this book help you a lot in the process... The rest is for your imagination.
