I'll be honest, personally, I haven't read the book yet.... my husband grabbed it before I could. He keeps reading passages to me and we both agree that this book answers many questions.... even questions we didn't have. Very insightful. Even my 13 year old daughter is very interested in these prophecies.

I have read this book many years ago, and it is on my list as one of the best books I have ever read next to my Bible. Especially good for those who have never read anything like this.

I ended up ordering this book because my 3 year old son refuses to return it to the library. We have renewed it 3 times (a total of about 9 weeks) and he still has not grown tired of it. The story is quite funny with great pictures and has a "surprise" ending that leaves my son in stitches (the wolf isn't that scary after all!)

I provide daycare in my home and my group LOVED this book! They kept begging for me to read it again and again! This is a book with a hilarious ending (no nightmares either!). This is a must read for children, especially preschoolers! Teachers would be able to use this book in many projects and areas, it would be like "The Old Lady that Swallowed the Fly" in many aspects.

This is the first book wholly in ARABIC, I see offered for sale on Amazon.com. Congratulations to Amazon, and the distributors of this book for this pioneering effort. The book is a translation from English (Head to Head) and all Arabic reading persons interested with the international economic race should read this book. It should be used for teaching economics to Arabic speaking students.

It is very informative and provides very good information about what could happen in the future concerninn the world's economics

These books are unusual in their focus on the history of technology, explaining how it works, and how it changed over time. It gives a comprehensive account of the development of these cars with many fine pictures.

What a great book! Some suspense, quite a bit of reality, and a lot of laughs! I really like the sensitive way the author handled the subject matter. This is a must read book for any young person and all those young at heart. Eye-opening!

Since each of Orwell's books have sufficient reviews (raves), I won't bore you with repetition.

I was suprised that this compilation (officially called "The Complete Novels") is not officially available on Amazon.com. If you'd like a single book with "all" of Orwell's novels, it is available via the Amazon.co.UK site. Nothing fancy, just the stories. The only drawback is that the print font is smaller than in most books. For most, this will not be a problem, though.

Be careful: although called "The Complete Novels", it doesn't include "Down and Out in Paris and London" or a couple of his other books. Maybe they weren't considered novels.

Absolutely wonderful. For years, I thought my father this horrible person, never quite understanding the impact these thoughts had on my life and the (poor) decisions I made. Finally, this book allowed me to confront my father from a different angle. To allow him his personal failures and to understand my role in is development. Today, my father and I talk. I can express my hurts with out hurting him. Finally after all these years I am his little girl

That quote comes from the review on the back, but you have to wonder how _important_is this book?
Keeping in mind this book was written in 1945, you can enjoy this book for what it is - a sort of science fiction/fact book. For example, "Universal and perpetual peace will reign in the Era of Romic Energy...". The reasoning seems solid - no reason to fight for fuel, all raw materials could be mined from the ocean and war would be too destructive (all Mr Dietz's reasons). However, as we know, these things did not happen.

This book is recommended highly just so the reader can enjoy how the future was supposed to look from the viewpoint of 1945. It certainly is a different view than the current one and, as it says on the back cover, "should be a part of the lirary of every intelligent American."
