A must have reference for ALL digital design engineers
After ploughing through this book, I found it to be a treasure trove of useful information. It's well layed out, and well explained. As with their first "black magic text", it's full of helpful hints, guides, and rule'o'thumbs that will get you up to speed quickly so you can apply them and get expected results from your design. Well done Mr Johnson and Mr Graham, another excellent reference!

Inforamtive and well written book on the history of steam do
In Search of Steam Donkeys is a well writen and very informative book. At a time when there is very little information on steam donkeys other than by word of mouth, this book sheds considerable light on a rather specialized and certainly interesting topic.

The Indispensable Librarian: Don't Leave Home without It!
The Indispensable Librarian is a valuable resource for any librarian, whether he or she is fresh out of library school or a seasoned professional. The author provides advice and encouragement relating to all aspects of the profession. Although the author directs much of the information toward school library media specialists, whatever your niche in the field of librarianship, this book provides plenty of nuggets of wisdom to make your job more rewarding. Chapter 8 offers rules for planning and questions to ask an architect before beginning a building project. This valuable chapter offers guidance and structure to the library director required to participate in such a monumental endeavor as well as to any librarian who sits on the planning committee. Johnson's relaxed writing style will move professional reading time right up to the top of your "to do" list! Get yourself a copy! You'll be glad you did!

If you love modern art, this book is a must!
I only recently became aware of Joan Mitchell's work through the help of my art teacher and I'm so glad. I don't think you'll be able to find a more informative or complete collection of her work and her background. Her work is intermingled with the biographical information in chronological order in many great and often oversized (fold out) color plates.

This is one for your permanent art collection.

Behind the canvas
This story takes us behind the scenes at the palace at the time that Velzquez was painting "Las Meninas". The story is told by the princess who is the principal figure in this world known portrait exhibited at the Prado Museum in Spain. The princess escorts us through a typical day at the palace. It is a heart warming story and will teach children history and also give them a cultural background of the times. Though it is a child's book, adults will also enjoy the story and the true to life illustrations.

A great set of strategies for all teachers of Reading.
Literacy Through Literature provides some of the most useful techniques to teach students Reading, whether they are struggling with decoding or need to improve their comprehension skills. The techniques involve many easy to prepare lessons and visuals on sequence of events, character and plot development, and inference skills. The book is compact, but full of loads of strategies. I have not encountered any other book like it. Great for any teacher looking for fresh ways to keep students excited about Reading. Definitely a must for new teachers who are looking for activities that will ensure successful learning for all their students in all languages.
