A Must Have For the 21st Century!
This audio program is an excellent tool to help you let go of bad habits, negative thoughts, and unhealthy relationships. It is a "tool" because Darren Johnson, the author, guides you through the process himself with sheer ease. I especially love using the self-managing grid and the preparing my BE Statements. The Art of Letting Go of Stuff helps you to peel back the layers and get to what really matters in life. This audio program is the perfect gift for someone who wants or needs to let go of STUFF! It is also a must have for your own library!

This program changes people in quick and positive way!
"The Art of Letting Go of Stuff" does just that. It gives simple, easy, user friendly solutions to life's daily stressors in such a way that the individual is empowered to take control of their thoughts, actions, and reactions. It promotes self-awareness and effective means of going beyond that awareness to the point of taking action towards making needed change (solutions). It has lifelong implications as far as reducing stress, mental worry, and the feeling of being "out of control", and establishes itself as an ego booster, self-esteem elevator, and overall healthy way of living. It covers a lot of ground in a short timeframe making it convenient and relevant to every aspect of daily living.

My contact with others that have attended seminars or heard tapes has been positive and positively life altering. Darren is gifted in fulfilling his calling to help others - to the extent that his programs are an artform!!!!

Don't pass up this opportunity to take charge of your life and Happiness!!!!!!

This work of Informational Art is Great!
This is a great work of informational art. I have used this information on 40 ladies incarcerated at the Tennessee State Prison for Women. The ladies were preparing to take the G.E.D. exam. Only a few passed the preparatory test. After working with this lesson they not only passed the preparatory exam but they all passed the actual G.E.D. examination.

This Book is Priceless
Mr. Driebe has done beautiful creative work in his compilation of In Search of the Wild Indian. It is packed full of photographs and has enough history and information to provide the reader with a great understanding of the photographer's life work while instilling the desire to want to learn more about these native peoples. The subjects in the photos are uplifting, haunting and expressive. The energy in this book is amazing. I thank Mr. Driebe for this gift -- it is ageless and will continue to take top billing on my coffee table.

WORTH THE PRICE!!
Not often am I willing to spend this amount on a book; this one is worth the price. Excellent pictoral, and the details are just wonderful. Portrays Native Americans as no other work has; in detail and with respect!!

Beautifully done!
A BEAUTIFUL book and great addition to a home library. This book is about Carl and Grace Moon who had a special connection to the Indians of the southwest, however it is also about the wonderful Native people who inspired them. Many beautiful photos and very in-depth text! These people are still there, I have visited with them often. I hope this book will serve as a wonderful tribute to them.

Middle Mania: Imaginative Theater Projects for Middle School Actors (Young Actors Series)
Published in Paperback by Smith & Kraus (2002)
Author: Maureen Brady Johnson
Amazon base price: $16.95
Average review score:

A Review from THE BOOK REPORT, Sept./Oct. 2002
Almost as soon as I began reading Johnson's book, I was thinking of individuals in our school with whom I could share it. Although it is written for theater teachers, it's useful for any teacher or administrator that might occasionally need an activity for community building. The book is written for middle school environments, but the ideas could easily be transformed for high schools or elementary schools as well. The chapters consist of seven different activities that promote involvement from all students, even the shyest, that are also fun for adult moderators. A few of the activities include Mask/Movement, Clan Drama: Solving a Mystery, and Rock 'n' Roll Playwriting. Step-by-step instructions for developing and organizing the projects are broken down into chapter sections. I especially like the preface that summarizes each chapter and activity into single paragraphs. Following the activities, Johnson provides curriculum summaries, assignment sheets, grade assessment charts, and reflections on the book's projects. Every school should have at least one project. Highly Recommended.

Fun! Creative! What a relief!!
I teach middle school drama to 8th, 7th, and 6th grade every day! Approximately 600 students rotate through my curriculum each year! The activities presented in MIDDLE MANIA have prompted me to revamp my whole approach in teaching drama. They are fun, creative, easy to do and feel a lot less stressful than continually preparing for large-scale productions. What a gift! Thank you for sharing, Maureen!!

Catch a case of Middle Mania!
All my life I have wanted to write a book. I knew that I would do it someday, I just didn't know what the subject would be. Combining my love of theatre and my desire to help teachers teach drama in unique and creative ways lead to this book. It is filled with imaginative projects that really work, not only for teaching theatre, but you can use the projects to work collaboratively with other teachers. This book brings students and teachers together to do drama. It is my journey. I hope that you will make it a part of yours.

What I was looking for
I do not have an extensive art background. Without becoming arcane, the author gives sufficient knowledge and support TO GET YOU GOING. This is the right book for someone who wants to try watercolor but lacks the art background and/or the creative support one would get from an instructor.

The Perfect Gift
This book is great for reference as well as a gift to anyone wanting to explore watercolor! We are given examples and methods as well as how to shop for your supplies. I am giving this to my mom for Mother's Day. I highly recommend this book for anyone at any level.

Great book!
A great book for the person who wants to try a new medium, or begin painting for the first time. Cathy Johnson's step by step instructional demos and great sense of humor make you want to get in there and just do it. The instructions are VERY clear and easy to understand--she never assumes you know what any given painting term means.

The Princeton Review Writing Smart Junior: The Art and Craft of Writing/Grades 6-8
Published in Paperback by Random House Trade Paperbacks (1995)
Authors: C. L. Brantley, Princeton Review, and Cynthia Johnson
Amazon base price: $12.00
Average review score:

Writing Smart Junior
This book is excellent, and not only for middle school children. I've used this book in teaching writing seminars for adults, and the rules still apply. Though the lessons are taught in story format, they are invaluable.

The only educational book that will both teach AND intrigue!
Writing Smart Junior, by C.L. Brantley, is a very beneficial guide to any junior-higher in need of better writing skills. It is very clearly written and easy to follow. The key element is how educational the storyline is. Brantley has written it in such a way so that you are intrigued with what is happening with the characters and what they are experiencing, and at the same time able to comprehend what they are learning. So, in a way, you feel like you are a part of the team trying to accomplish the assigned quest for the lost art of writing. This is an exellent book; an addition to my bookshelf that I am extemely grateful for. It has helped me through some of my most difficult times in my English class. (I originally had a C, but thanks to Writing Smart Junior, I now have an A!)

It was a very good book but I read better.
I like books such asXANT

Acoustic and Auditory Phonetics
Published in Paperback by Blackwell Publishers (2003)
Author: Keith Johnson
Amazon base price: $34.95
Average review score:

Excellent Introductory Text to Acoustic & Auditory Phonetics
Johnson's text fills a lacuna in Phonetics primers by introducing the fundamentals of acoustics in terms that students new to phonetics can grasp.

Johnson intersperses fairly complex issues with practical applications of the concepts making the text approachable. These practical applications often can be translated into classroom exercises and are occasionally humorous.

I found the explanation of waves, harmonics, and formants particularly clear and helpful. The segue from acoustics to auditory phonetics is seamless.

Adding this text to the reading list of my intro to phonetics class (undergrad) reaped pleasant rewards.

This text is appropriate for undergraduate or graduate students with limited exposure to acoustic and auditory phonetics, but is useful for even seasoned phoneticians.

Excellent Introduction to the Subject!!!!
This has to be one of the best texts on phonetics I've ever encountered. Dr. Johnson takes some very difficult concepts in accoustic theory and makes them accessible to the beginning student.

Published in Paperback by Chronicle Books (1999)
Authors: Lynn Johnson and Michael O'Leary

An Excellent Book for both Train and Art Lovers.
This book covers railroad advertising from the early 1900s to the late 50s. All color art and a few B&W pictures showing the real trains that influenced the advertising. It shows examples of railroad advertising from posters, timetables, brochures and luggage tags as well as railroads in the US, Canada and Europe. There is a breif history introducing each chapter and the captions for each picture are descriptive and accurate. At the end of the book, there are a few pages explaining how to collect railroad art, which I found very informative. An easy read and very entertaining. An excellent coffee-table book.

Sentimental Journey
As always, Chronicle Books beautiful graphic series has captured a wonderful look back at riding the rails. Johnson and O'Leary have compiled a romantic collection of railroad commercial art.

Array Signal Processing: Concepts and Techniques
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall PTR (01 February, 1993)
Authors: Don H. Johnson, Dan E. Dudgeon, and Dan E. Dugeon
Amazon base price: $80.00
Average review score:

Reprint this book!
I used this book for an Array Signal Processing course. The book was very easily understood and complemented the professors coverage very nicely. I have read additional sections of the book and continue to be impressed with its readability and thorough coverage. Unfortunately I had to go through the Prentice-Hall print on demand service to get a compy of the text. paperbacks don't last as long and the price was still fairly high.

Classic textbook on array signal processing
Array signal processing is a fairly new topic in communications and signal processing. This textbook provides broad and deep coverage on this attractive field. Well-written and highly readable makes this book an invaluable resource for both students and engineers. Since only the basic materials can be found in this book, you may need to find newly published papers/books to see the latest development on this field.

The Chase Era: 1933 & 1942 Catalogs of the Chase Brass & Copper Co.
Published in Paperback by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd. (01 January, 2000)
Authors: Donald-Brian Johnson and Leslie Pina
Amazon base price: $29.95

Fantastic Finale
In this concluding book in a series of four about the history and products of the Chase Copper and Brass Co., the authors present the first (1933) and last (1942) catalogs of Chase's consumer products...and a wonderful surprise. The catalog pictures are crisp and clear, and the contrast between the early and last product offerings can be easily compared. But the first publishing of a series of pre-1933 "flyers" that were Chase's first "catalog" make this a must-have reference for collectors. Nine new pieces are shown, and new, additional information is provided about several other items previously attributed to Chase. Definite 5 star kudos to the the authors, Don Johnson and Leslie Pena, for this wonderful resource.

The Final of Four on Chase
This book is the final of four outstanding books by these two accomplished authors. Any Chase collector or deco enthusiast should have them in their reference library. This book features reprints of original 1933 and 1942 Chase catalogs, factory information, and pre-1933 reprints of Chase Specialty flyers, some of which have never been published before. Pictures of newly discovered Chase products will be a great help to Chase collectors in identification of their wares. This book is a must for all those who appreciate the fine craftsmanship that came from the Chase factories. Donald-Brian Johnson and Leslie Pina should be commended for putting together this four part Chase reference set, this book being the final one of the four. Highly recommend!
