What A Man!
This is a sturdy hardcover book 32 pages in length. Not only is this book well illustrated, accurate, and most informative but it teaches lessons that any of us could afford to learn (or re-learn!). Author Peter Murray gently tells the life story and adventures of "Slow" in a manner that DOES NOT turn young readers off to History. His choice of words entices his audience, young or old, to turn "just one more" page. As a homeschooling Mother of six I especially appreciate the review questions & answers, the helpful study guide, and the time line. I have already incorporated this book, and the rest of the series, into our schooling regimae.

Great book
This book shows the real role of history, not to regurgitate historical facts, but to weave the complex cloth of what came before us

Great coverage of each Open since 1900
This engaging book gives the history of the British Open since it was first played in 1860 with complete coverage of each event since 1900. Most of the individually covered Open championships receive two pages, including good textual reporting of the event as well as photographs. The coverage is divided into historical periods such as the age of Bobby Locke and Peter Thompsion in the 50s and 60s when the two won eight Opens between them. This book is so up to date that Tiger Woods' monumental victory in 2000 receives full coverage. The great Open champions as well as the obscure Cinderella stories all receive lavish treatment. Additionally, the book has other great features such as a description and illustration of each of the Open courses, including venues that have not been used in decades. So, if you want to relive Arnold Palmer's emotional fairwell or the great duel between Nicklaus and Watson in which Watson prevailed after a gut wretching effort, this is the book for you. Additionally, this is the type of book that makes a great gift for the golf lover on your gift list.

"Good design is Forever"
Murray Douglas is a scholar of historical design. She is keenly aware of the importance of using contempory trends to compliment culturally historic design. The book becomes a resource not only of the history of Brunschwig & Fils and its textiles, trims and wall coverings, but of how well-known designers have integrated the Brunschwig line with their own flair and client's needs. She gives a useful history of the manufacture and use of textiles, trims and wallpapers. Douglas and Irvine tell the story of McLean's photographs as they create a pallette of comfort and style with color and sophistication. I use the book as a text and photo resource for all of my design projects!

Cage Your Rage: An Inmate's Guide to Anger Control

Anger management
This is absolutely the best tool in the market for corrections anger management programs. We are the largest men's prison in the state of Wisconsin, housing over 1900 inmates. Our facility has been using this text for only a few years but the results have been outstanding. I have had inmates tell me that they have not received a conduct report for over 2 years thanks to what they learned. It has reduced minor negative behaviors on the living centers. It has improved the inmate's personal relationships. It has given many the hope and confidence that they will be able to deal with negative situations upon release. If you are a correctional professional, probation & parole, social worker, or client, I urge you to use this valuable book.

Delightful
It's rather hard to summarize the content of this collection as a whole, since most stories are written from the perspectives of character very different from one another (i.e. social background, personality, or simply the circumstance one's situated in). Readers who look for variety in content and themes would enjoy as they go along and explore - be ready to be unsettled. I personally prefer the portrayals of seemingly insignificant individuals - the slides of a life and the vision of the world - quite subtly done, in an almost absurd but triumphant manner. Each of the story also has a fairly different form, which makes this collection a good example for students of creative writing. The writing itself, needless to say, is precise and sometimes poetic. A good choice for those who look for surprises in short fiction.
