Dogs and Puppies at Your Fingertips
This book is a great encyclopedic/generalized reference bookfor the K-3 child, depending upon reading and comprehension level. My girlfriends highly advanced 3 1/2 year old will love to have it read to her! It helps to fermilarize children with some popular breeds of dog. This would be a good gift idea if you're shopping, with your child, for a first puppy (but, please also talk with a vet and breeder for more specific breed info, and to find a breed that would best fit your families life style!). Loved the tabs of doggie heads peeking out from the pages! END

Pictures worth 1,000 blue notes
"Down at Theresa's" puts you visually into the Chicago blues world. PoKempner captures the people who are the music, while the blues plays through their image.

It's like I was there!
A great glimpse of the blues. The pages reverberate with such a depth of feeling you can hear the music. A triumph in every way.

Engineering the Farm: The Social and Ethical Aspects of Agricultural Biotechnology
Published in Paperback by Island Press (15 June, 2002)
Authors: Britt Bailey and Marc Lappe
Amazon base price: $25.00
Average review score:

Engaging & Informative
When it comes to topics like bioengineering, a lot of people publish theses and dissertations or they rant on in a political diatribe. Bailey is the rare exception who knows what she's talking about and makes it interesting. It's a refreshing surprise to come across a writer who has not only the scholarly credentials to do the work, but has the life experiences to draw upon to bring the points home. This is like reading a good novel except the characters are real, the planet is ours and the facts are astounding. This book will keep you not only informed and educated on the subject but it will entertain you as well. Now that's the kind of book we all enjoy reading.

A terrific follow-up to "Against the Grain"....
"Engineering the Farm" is a must-read for anyone who eats...like "Against the Grain" (Lappe & Bailey's first book on the issue), "Engineering" explores the issue of agricultural biotechnology. In this book, Bailey & Lappe turn to a dozen or so other experts, each of whom provides a unique perspective on the impact of biotechnology on our lives--physical, environmental, social, ethical, and even spiritual effects which are too often ignored. Pick one up (and then pass it along!)

A must have for every fan of Eric Clapton.
This a great book. This book lets you inside the mind and world of one of the worlds greatest guitarist/songwriters of all time.
He talks about growing up without his parents, early days of his music career.Eric also talks about his time in bands:Yardbirds, Cream, John Mayall and the Blues Breakers, Blind Faith and his Seventies/Eighties solo work. You also get his opinion on other guitarists playing. This is an absolute must have if you are a guitar player or just a long time fan of Eric Clapton. There are some great black and white pictures of people Eric has worked with.

THE BOOK FOR ERIC CLAPTON FANS!
This is a great book! It's one of the best that I've ever read about Eric Clapton. If you're interested in the exact way he felt during the different times of his life and career, then this is the book to get.

Finding a new nest....
Buying a home can be the most rewarding, yet the most stressful experiences of your life. It is like living between two worlds. You are leaving the safety of one nest and suddenly flying to the next, which you then have to spend time getting all in order.

Joe Breckner is a top producing real estate agent and understands how potential home owners feel. By dividing the details into manageable parts, he helps you understand the searching and financing aspects of buying a home. Marc Robinson has written finance books and has consulted with top Wall Street firms for over 15 years. This is a book written by experts in the field of financing and purchasing. This book will help to encourage a sense of self-confidence in the buying process.

Since most people own at least four homes in their lifetimes, buying a home is going to be an investment of money and time. This booklet will help you answer the following questions:

1. How much home can you afford? 2. How much will closing costs, mortgage insurance, home insurance and monthly upkeep and utilities cost in a new home? 3. Why is buying better than just renting? 4. How do you get a prequalification letter? 5. How do you select the best agent? 6. What do you desire in a new home? 7. Is a targeted search best? 8. What should you know when making a deal? 9. Where do you get loans? What is a title? Why do you need a home inspection?

Now, one thing that might happen when you buy a house. You could put a very nice offer on your dream house, only to find someone else got there first. That just happened to us, so don't worry too much about it. If it happens, remember..."There is always something better!" The house you will find next will be the one you really wanted anyway.

So, before you even think about closing a house deal, open this book and you will be amazed at how much goes into buying a house. After the process it through, you will have a beautiful home you can truly be proud of owning.

Levinson writes!
Anything Joe Breckner sells is worth buying, so if he writes a book I would advise anyone and everyone to go out and buy it without delay.

This is a wonderful, wonderful book!!
Christmas is a very magical time in our home, and this book will be a special part of each Christmas holiday sesaon. It is full of wonderful stories to read to children of all ages! I am very particular about the types of stories that I read to my kids and the themes that I want them exposed to, given their young and impressionable ages; I couldn't recommend this book any higher!

This is the best of 17 Collections in our Library!
As a Teacher and Professional Storyteller, I am always looking for new stories and outstanding re-tellings of classics. This Beautifully illustrated book is the best I have ever seen in my yearly Nov. search for new Christmas stories! I am already working on mastering 9 of its stories to tell and 3 poems that will be read aloud! In the other 17 books I have read, I only found 7 other stories to tell!

Great photo reference book
This large well produced book is a great photo reference book on one of the great modern quarterbacks in the game of football. The photos in the book are crisp and vivid (many worth framing). Truly a must have for any serious Brett Favre fan. Would make an excellent addition to any comprehensive personal football library.

This is a biography book.
A sports biography book, in color, of the Green Bay Packers star quarterback, Brett Favre. He leads the team to victory in the 1997 Super Bowl. Very good book for students and teachers in grades 3-6.

To Bust or not to Bust
First let me say this is a worthwhile purchase. Why? It offers a "blow by blow" guide to punching in a non-grappling street fight. Now it is a bit wordy, but if you know how to read in-between the lines you are getting some useful street fighting information. There are some hardcore punching techniques *Hanging punch, read this and practice. There is more to a street fight than connecting your fists against somebody's head. It involves know where to hit and type of punch to use at a given time.

WoW
This book is great,I'm an experice wrestler in collegit,Greco Roman and freestyle. i have also done some sambo and judo.this book really gave me a cutting edge. it help me beat people on the streets who wanted to "test" my skill, outside of mats and rules.y goal is to be in the FC some day and this book will help any one from a 6 yearold to a eldely
