Arthur And The Pen-Pal Playoff
I read Arthur And The Pen-Pal Playoff. I think this book is great. I think little boys and girls will want to read this wonderful book. This book is great for nine year olds to read.
Little kids will want to read this book over and over again, it's an adventure. This is a way to keep young ones away from the TV. I do recommend this book.

Arthur Could Be Any Kid
When Arthur talks up his basketball skills in a letter to a pen-pal that he was assigned to write for class, he feels that he's in over his head. His pen-pal writes back that he's a great basketball player as well and then he learns that his pen-pal is the lunch-lady's grandson. Next thing he knows, Mrs. McGrady (the lunch-lady) arranges them to play a one-on-one basketball game. The thing that's great about this story is that it's a situation that many readers can identify with. Eventually, Arthur's forced to face his situation head-on, but he's not the only one...

This is the last book of the "Arthur Good Sports" series. Whether any more books will be published in this series is not yet known, but the six-year 2001 set make a great addition to the "Arthur" series.

My 3 year old grandson loved this book.
My 3 year old grandson loved this book. He had such fun lifting the flaps and putting on the stickers. He has removed the stickers repeatedly and they still stick back on the pages. He still loves to lift the flaps after dozens of times rereading the book. I will be looking for more books with lift the flaps and stickers included. This is a wonderful book for a 3 year old.

Hands-on fun for Christmas
Our children, ages 5 and 21/2 love this book! They had a ball putting on the stickers (with a fair amount of parental supervision) and never tire of lifting the flaps on each page. I worried that after the "sticker fun" was over, they'd lose interest in the book, but they are still fascinated with their handiwork and enjoy the simple story of Arthur's Christmas. The artwork is fun and the book itself is quite sturdy - even in the hands of a toddler. We collect Christmas books and this is definitely one of the favorites for my kids.

Pickles, stickers and reading fun
This is a great book for teaching reading. Arthur is a favored character in our house , and the peel and place stickers really help little ones with the concepts of learning to read. It also has a whole sticker sheet that kids can illustrate their own story with. Marc Brown, through Arthur, can always view the world through a child's eyes, which helps parents to remember that things can seem alot different down there! I highly recommend this and all Arthur/D.W. books!

MY KIDS LOVE ARTHUR
MY KIDS LOVE ARTHUR AND HIS MANY ADVENTURES. THEY ESPECIALLY LIKE THIS BOOK AND THE PICKLE PEOPLE IN IT. THEY HAD ME READ IT 15 TIMES THE FIRST DAY WHICH PROVIDED AN AFTERNOON OF LAUGHS AND PICKLE GAMES.

Excellent book on responsibility
What child hasn't asked for a pet at some point in their childhood. What an excellent way to teach responsibility. This book shows the parent how to test a child's readiness for responsibilities, while showing the young readers the perils and pitfalls of having one's own pet business, as well as the rewards, and entertaining us all in the meanwhile. Well done. It's also fun to look in all of Marc Brown's books and find the hidden names!

Being Responsible can be Fun !
I am in awe of how Marc Brown has simplified the concept of responsibility, so that it may be understood by my two year old daughter.

My two year old daughter summed this book up by saying; " Arthur showed his mommy and daddy he can take care of everyone's pets now he can have Pal . In my eyes that says it all !

The author has sucessfully done what was intended . He communicated an important moral concept to a small child , what being responsible is and how doing things morally right can be fun and rewarding.

Keep up the good work Marc Brown you are helping me communicate important moral, social, family, and educational values to my daughter. Great Books and Characters

Awsome!
This book is very good! we read it in reading at school one time!

Let the Aardvark beware
In this, another great book by Marc Brown, children can learn vicariously through Arthur about money management, and specifically, how hard it is to earn money and how easily it is lost. These, ( the Arthur and D.W. Books), are great books, and more up to date than most children's books.

Book Review for Arthur's Valentine
I liked the book because i can remember the first valentine that i received from a girl. I was happy like Arthur was, but didn't want everyone to know about it. In the story, Arthur gets a valentine from his secret admirer. He didn't know yet who it exactly was. He gets another one from the same person. The second one says for him to meet her at the movies. If you read this story, you will find out who sent him the valentine.

Teasing should be ignored.
When people tease you about things, it is best to ignore them and keep focused on your goal. I enjoyed this book very much.

Best nuclear medicine book available
Coel and Leung have assembled an impressive, comprehensive collection of nuclear medicine cases. This should be required reading for any radiologist about to take his/her oral board examinations. I am a radiologist and wouldn't have passed the exam without this book.

An excellent compendium of nuclear medicine images.
I.ll keep it short and sweet. If you need a review of nuclear medicine, this is the book for you. It covers a wide range of diseases and imaging techniques in a clear concise format. the images are excellent and the charts are well made.

The definitive work...
All the old ballparks, color "postcards" from the cities, all the players, umpires, managers, uniforms, writers, broadcasters and even the nameplates from the local newspapers in each major league city. If you grew up with a transistor radio under the bedcovers listening to Bob Prince or Red Barber, Okkonen's books are better (and cheaper!) than a Jackie Robinson baseball card. A unique combination of nostalgia and factual information that is guaranteed to awaken memories dormant for years. His volumes on the thirties and "oughts" are similarly unique and wonderful.

"Bible of Biofiltration"....
Is how we refer to this book also. It covers all of the basics, gives tons (tonne?) of useful info in an organized manner with many useful references to get someone started in almost any aspect of biofiltration. well done.

Biofilter Bible
This book has been nicknamed the "Bible of Biofiltration" with due cause. It is an excellent resource for the novice and experienced alike. It is written by three well-respected and experienced leaders in the biofilter field. It contains an excellent review of the fundamental science and the practical design as well as giving numerous examples of applications throughout the world. It is "a must have" for anyone who is in need of an reference book on biofiltration.

Beautifully done!
This is THE coffee table book for blues lovers. The quality of the photographs is unsurpassed. Norberg sure caught some wonderful moments.

He's my brother, and he's the best.
For 12 years, Marc poured his soul into this effort -- creating B&W portraits of the just-surviving and just-arriving blues greats. His objective was to support Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven Foundation, which, at the time, had the objective of supporting blues musicians who had not received their due, even though they had paid their dues. Yes, I'm biased toward my bro', but who can blame me? These photographs are stunning.
