Taming Kate is about a young women who inherits a botheral in Nevada. The botheral has been in her family for generations. The problem is that she didn't realize that she had a family. Having been raised to be prim and proper the passionate Kate can't bring herself to be a Madame of a brothel, especially when she is following the career her mother wanted for her. Trey Holliday is going to change Kate's mind and prove to her that passionate is not a bad thing.

My Champion, My Love is set in the Vistorian era when proper women were not suppose think that sex was wonderful. Celeste is committed to an asylum for her seual appetites by her stepchildren. Celeste's friend convinces the mayor, Robert Albright, to help Celeste. After an afternoon of passion they are torn apart by betrayal. Robert most not only face the betrayal but come to terms with his love for Celeste. Can he believe that she loves him.

This is a great collection of stories and worth adding to your collection of keepers.

"Jared's Wolf" by Mary Janice Davidson. Jared Rocke lives for one thing only to revenge the death of his sister from werewolves. To his personal disgrace, Jared desires Moira, protector of the werewolf pack. Soon these sworn enemies will need to unite to stop a killer even as love flares between them.

"My Champion, My Love" by Alice Gaines. In 1888 Upstate New York Celeste wants the same sexual and other freedoms granted to males, but denied her gender. She seeks a hero and thinks she has found him in Robert, a mayor, but love makes both redefine her quest.

"Kiss or Kill" by Liz Maverick. In 2043 DC, the world has dramatically changed and not for the better. Military officer Camille must decide between destroying or allowing Meat the Robo to live based on whether her target can prove he is human. Though he makes her feel good about being a woman, she has doubts whether he is a man or a machine.

All four tales are well written and fun to read because even the sexiest scenes are not written for shock value, but interwoven into the plots. This quartet contains strong plots and solid lead characters, but then again what else would one expect from the no longer SECRETS anthologies.

This book is a nicely rounded compendium of insights into spiritual relationships, healing, energies, and requirements of the disciple in the "worldly" sense. It was the first AAB book I ever bought many years ago, and I have always taken seriously the intent and energies in its words. If your motive in life is "Selfless Service to Others" you will like this book!

Its content helped reaffirm my own inner attitudes to life, and made me examine my world of associates and inter-relations with all manner of events and circumstances due to my own actions. It helped me see the good in all people and states of affairs. It helped me see there is no such thing as blame, and no such thing as bad luck or good luck. We make our futures, just as we made our past.

These attitudes to induce so-called "right human relations" and "goodwill" are central to the furtherance of "brother/sisterhood" as a "fact in nature", rather than as an ideal. In the AAB books is the concept of a "New Group of World Servers". The NGWS function subconsciously as a "group-force" of spiritual aspirants and disciples. This NGWS idea is expounded in detail in this book. Its hard to fault this kind of positive theory and hard to doubt the truth of this concept. I believe it is a feasible idea that the forces of "will to good" contribute substantially on a world-wide basis, and that our conscious effort to be part of this is a worthwhile pursuit. The book is very interesting, and distils many helpful ideas and techniques for the disciple.

Serving Humanity is an outstanding collection of wisdom teaching on the Science of Service from the extensive writings of Alice Bailey and the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul. Our international spiritual group is using this book as a training manual. We learn that true service is basically the spontaneous outflow of a loving heart and an intelligent mind, produced by the inevitable inflow of spiritual force and not simply by strenuous physical plane activity. The true server lives, serves, works and influences, asking nothing for himself personally.

The service the Tibetan teaches helps awaken a deep sense of brotherhood in humanity. "Work and give, love and think, and aid those groups who are building and not destroying, loving and not attacking, lifting and not tearing down. Work with groups who are not fighting other groups and organizations, no matter how sincere their motive."

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has made contact with the soul, awakened to the universal suffering of humanity, and wants to work for a civilization of greater light and good will.

I have kept this book by my bedside for a year. It is my guidebook and inspiration for following my heart and creating my life's work. This book covers every aspect of service, what it is and what it isn't. This is a book for all those who want to make a contribution, who are feeling the pull of their soul, and who want to advance on their spiritual path by serving humanity.

My 4 year old daughter absolutely adores this book! She calls it her Bible (she has two real Bibles; however, they don't hold her attention the way this one does) and insists on sleeping with it at night! I am ordering all the other Alice in Bibleland books based on the excellence of this book..

I generally have stayed away from books other than the Bible to explain its stories, but boy has my mind changed. Alice Joyce Davidson does a fantastic job with her depiction of the Story of Jonah. My daughter only 21 months now, decided this was her favorite book about 6 months ago. She always asks for Jonah at reading time. The book has a rythmn to it that she loves and many parts rhyme. She's even saying several of the words herself on cue. We received the book free in the mail and I'm now on-line here today to order up the rest of the ALICE in BIBLELAND Storybook Series. This is a wonderful retelling of one of the most profound gems of the Bible. Most tellings focus almost exclusively on the Whale portion of the story. But the real focus - the boundless love of God - is properly told here. The cadence of the poetry is attractive to young children. It is now one of the favorite books of our seventeen year old toddler!

The aim of this book is not to solve your partner's betrayal but to validate and offer solace for those caught in it's web. It's a comfort book and I highly recommend it -especially during the early, crazy days when your life is spinning out of control and your mind is on overdrive. I carried it around with me and whenever I had a meltdown, I found reassurance that my new, unfamiliar (terrifying) emotions and thoughts were normal. I found the meditations calming and surely, this author has been there, done that. This book does not dispense advice but correctly places the focus on the betrayed's healing.

I am 25 years old. I've been married to my husband for two and a half years only, but we've been best friends for 11 years now. Just recently, I discovered that my husband is having an affair with a married woman- a friend from college. Upon learning, I have endured a succession of emotional blows from my husband. A good read. No "soft spots" and lots of action. Set in the future and the present, as it hopscotches back and forth from our millenium to the distant future. A sexy love interest serves as a backdrop to the wars of the future. The writer never loses sight of the story: How does a 21st century man find his way in a world beyond his wildest imagination? And his counterpart from the future finds his own journey back in time fraught with unsuspected pitfalls.

I liked the idea of seeing the future through the eyes of an ordinary guy from the present. It was also humorous and poignant to view the "present," with its many flaws and odd cultural phenonemons, through the eyes of a man from the distant future. This book had a little bit of everything. Romance, adventure, action and a pleasing surprise ending. I hope Skylar will take us on more time-traveling adventures in the future. I definitely recommend this book.

I CAN JUST SEE THIS MADE INTO A MOVIE WITH MY FAVORITE ACTOR, HARRISON FORD PLAYING DUAL ROLES. THE ARROGANT PRINCE WHO TRIES TO LIVE AS AN AVERAGE GUY AND FALLS IN LOVE WITH A FRIEND OF MARK'S. THEN AS MARK WHO ASSUMES THE PRINCE'S ROLE IN THE FAR FUTURE, FAKING AND BUMBLING HIS WAY MUCH AS HIS 'INDIANA JONES' ROLE IN PREVIOUS FILMS. THE CONCEPT LEAVES THIS STORY WIDE OPEN FOR MANY MORE ADVENTURES OF THE PRINCE TO SWAP PLACES WITH ANY NUMBER OF WILLING KINDRED SPIRITS. HOPE THERE'S A SEQUEL SOON. WOULD LOVE TO READ MORE OF THIS TYPE OF HERO.

Both the hero and the heroine have ulterior motives, but their passion leads them to come up with a perfect solution. I hope Will Shakespeare will rewrite the Taming of the Shrew when he reads this book!

In "Taming Angelica," Ms. Chambers delivers a thoroughly modern heroine set in Victorian times. Angelica is quick witted and funny, and a delight to follow. The relationship she has with the hero, Will, is most appealing, as their business arrangement turns into much more.

This is a great book by an author I've never heard of. It's set in Victorian London and tells the story of two people who start out to use each other for selfish purposes and end up falling in love. The love scenes sizzle.

I'll definitely look for more books by this author.

Across from Emory University, in Atlanta, there used to be a store called Horton's. Over the entry were the words: IF WE DON'T HAVE IT, YOU DON'T NEED IT! The same could be said of "Testing the Waters." Ms Culbreath and Ms Neal have compiled a veritable feast of information for the career seeking teen. "Testing the Waters" is used frequently by the young people who frequent my study. It is extensive, accurate, and a veritable atlas of the roads to a successful career. The authors have done a wonderful thing in providing this tool. I cannot recommend it enough.

My teenage daughter has read several books prior to selecting a college and setting career goals. This is the best one of the bunch in my opinion. It is thoughfully prepared, user-friendly, and has some excellent information. Invaluable!
