A Must-have guide for any questioning teen
I picked up this book at my local library, reading it in the corner, terrified, lest anyone see that I wasinterested in reading about gays. When I did relax enough to read it, I devoured it. I found a part of myself in all of the teenagers in the book.I felt their struggles. I'm living their lives. I cried when I finished the book. I yearn to be comfortable enough to discuss my sexuality the way these teens did. Reading about their fight out of the closet was a cpomfort to me, a bisexual teenager who is not yet all the way out. I recommend this book to students, teachers, and anyone who has to face issues dealing with homosexuality in their everyday lives. I am getting upthe courage to buy a copy so I can have it to keep.

Ms. Gray is incredible in her selections.
Ms. Gray is a fabulous editor-selecting the most incredible queer youth to represent the community today. As a queer youth, I too would have loved to read something as powerful as this. As a queer teacher, it is a resource for all students to understand the diversity in our state and country. If introduced into the schools, perhaps our schools will become just a little bit safer for ALL students.

Get to know the gay youth experience from youth themselves.
When we're young, one of the worst experiences is having someone else speak for us. This book by Mary Gray allows queer youth to speak from their own perspectives. Not only would I have liked this book as a youth, but I find it useful as an educator of late teens. Give it a try.

International Children's Story Bible
This is the perfect beginners bible story book for preschool children thru 6-7 years old. The stories are short and to the point and on a level they can understand, while holding their attention. The stories are short enough that it would make a nice bedtime story book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that wants young children to learn about God and the Bible.

International Children's Story Bible
I can't think of a better way to educate children about god than throught the eyes of another child. Each page has a detailed story from the bible detailing the chapters from the bible in story form, also illustrated by children all over the world. Each story is written so well for children to remember the stories of the bible and to find them interesting and educational. This book also shows how different children view the bible in differnet parts of the world. I have enjoyed this book as much as the children in my CCD class and they can't wait for the next story to be read. I would highly recommend this story bible for children of your own or to give as a gift. I guarantee it will be treasured. God Bless

International Children's Story Bible
I am a CCD teacher and I read this book to my 1st grade class and they can't keep their eyes off the book and they remember the stories and can't wait for me to read the next one. It is written in story form so children can easily understand and remember the stories of the bible. I would highly recommend this book and I think you will enjoy it as much as the children.

Journeyman wizard: Brilliant in every aspect
I found this book masterfully created. Not only was the initial unraveling of the mystery intrigueing, but I find the ideas fascinating. I often read fantasy that is full of unusual ideas, names, and places. Although this may add to the fantastical setting, I often find it difficult to grasp and remember all the new names and ideas. In this book, however, the ideas are concisely and clearly expressed. I absolutely adore the way Zambreno has discussed the theories behind magical spells, not to mention the wizard's guild.

Overall, this book was very cleanly written, tightly knitted, and easy to follow. It is not one of those hardcore fantasy novels; rather, Journeyman Wizard offers a fresh new perspective towards fantasy. This book kept me reading non stop late into the evening. I enthusiasticall encourage readers of all ages to read this book, and it's prequel, A Plague of Sorcerors.

A wonderful story.
I read this book years ago, but it's wonderful plot still remains in my imagination. I reccomend this book to anyone who loves fantasy. The characters were individuals, and were unique. They were not 'classic' and that's why I enjoyed the book so much. It was different.

Journeyman Wizard was a great book. I liked it a lot!
Journeyman Wizard is about Jermym who wants to become a spellmaker. In order to become a spellmaker he has to study with the master spellmaker, Lady Jean or Mistress Allons. She is the last master spellmaker. She is very strict. When someone uses the backlash of Jermyn's spell to kill Lady Jean, Jermyn is accused of the murder. Jermyn, Delia(Jermyn's familiar) and Brianne, Lady Jean's granddaughter, set out to prove Jermyn's innocence. The most unlikely person turns out to be The murderer!

"Must read" for anyone wishing to speed their Sacred Journey
Simple yet profound wisdom drawn from the Native American legend of Jumping Mouse. I have gifted this book often to those who are gathering courage to make their life-enhancing "Leap of Faith."

amazing
thank you Mary Elizabeth you are unique and special and the same is your book.....

A great book of inspiration
I love books, but I tend to not read them as much as I like. I get started on one, put it down, start another, and then i forget all about them. This is one book that I couldn't put down. We all have moments, when we feel like we have no hope, or that we can't amount to anything. This is the perfect book to get you motivated and realize that we all can make great and lasting marks on this world. This is about a mouse who has encounters with different animals and learns self lessons with ea. encounter. Jumping Mouse is a must read for the soul. You will not regret it and I am sure that you will get something out of it. =0)

A wonderful book for adults and children.
If you want to remember what the world looked like through a child's eyes, you'll want to read this book. Educators, naturalists and Theologians will be inspired by GSP's ideas. If you are interested in the author, visit the Gene Stratton-Porter Historic Sites in Geneva and Rome City Indiana. The story of "Laddie" has many similarities to the author's own childhood, making it even more interesting.

Read this book 17 times by the time I was 13
Laddie was my most beloved book as a pre-teenager. I absolultely loved the world portrayed, and with each rereading (17 readings in all) I was more caught up in the world of Little Sister (what was her name? We never do find out, do we?) I'm thrilled to see that it's available, as my old copy is in tatters, with pages missing and held together with a rubber band.

a truly delightful heartwarming story
I read this story aloud to my 10 year old daughter and 11 year old son. We laughed, we cried, we wondered what would happen next, we were oh so sorry when the book was done. My kids said it was their all time favorite of the many many books we have read aloud together. This is the kind of story that inspires great character and kindly behavior....something that is sadly lacking in most modern liturature for the young. Well worth reading, alone or aloud.

A Fantastic Read for All Ages
I read this book when I was about 8 years old and I loved it more than any other book I read. I say this because I remember it better than any other book I read as a child, and I read quite a few books. I have a copy somewhere in a box in my house and am longing to read it to my 6 year old and I don't want to wait any longer. So I have ordered another copy of it. In the wake of Harry Potter (which I also love) this story is just as enchanting and enthralling. It all begins with a child in England discovering a magical broomstick followed by a school for witchcraft! I can only highly recommend this book, plain and simple.

Magic!
A lonely, young girl finds a cat and magic in the English countryside in this book for young readers. Pre-Harry Potter, there are similar themes, but Mary Stewart writes like no other, and the story unfolds giving just enough details so a young person's imagination can fill in the rest. When I went back and re-read this after many years, I realized how much I had forgotten, and how much I had made up about it when I was nine. I love this book very much.

The Little Broomstick, by Mary Stewart
I love most of Mary Stewart's books, but, if you have a young daughter getting interested in reading, after she reads this, she'll become a fan for life, like I did! It's a story about a girl with a cat, who get caught up in intrigue. My mother brought this book home from a trip to Canada, and I'm sick that it's out of print. I hope to find it again, soon!

Fires are being set off in the library
Mary Anne volunteers to work at the Readathon (a contest for the little kids to read books for prizes and to get new books for the library) and then fires start being set off! Mary Anne and the rest of the members of the Baby-sitters Club decide to catch the person setting them off! Not only the BSC but Nicky Pike, BSC member Mallory Pike's brother, is helping too because some matches were found in his jacket pocket and he didn't put them there. So who would set fire to some books and why? Is it the protestors who want to ban some of the books? Is it one of the kids that doesn't want to be in the Readathon? Is it actually Nicky? You have to read the book to find out! I rated it 5 stars because it was well written and pretty fun to read. You probably won't guess who's setting off fires...but you will like the ending!

Bravo, Mary Anne!
I just love Mary Anne & her endearing sensitivity & her incredible courage! She's such a lovely person with a strong character! It was a cute, funny opening scene where Mary Anne is feeling depressed & to lift her blues, watches a sad movie & cries & cries. Trouble is, she doesn't feel much better & goes to the BSC meeting with red, swollen eyes. Then when the readathon is announced, I liked how Mary Anne got involved & THAT lifted her sadness. I liked how, even though she was missing Dawn & Logan, she didn't sit around feeling sorry for herself. Wow, those parts where the fires were happening were scary for her. Poor Mary Anne has terrible nightmares! The nightmares get worse, considering that Mary Anne is anxious & nightmare-prone. Boy, were Mary Anne & Kristy heroes when they finally caught the firebug! The ending was cute & touching when the librarians are giving awards to the kids, Nicky whistles when Mary Anne is recognized & Mary Anne blushes a bright red! & to top it all off, she ends up blubbering in front of everyone! It's endearing how she cries so easily. I love how the girls in the BSC solve their own mysteries & problems unlike many of the girls from the former Fabulous Five series who wait around for their boyfriends to be the heroes. There needs to be more books about girls as heroes.

This Book Rocks!
Mary Anne and the Library Mystery is very good book. Because I love books so much, it's nice to read about books from a good book! I love this! I haven't even readed it yet, and I still can say it's good. I'm excited to know who is the firebug. Because, here's what has happened. Mary Anne is having a terrible blues, because her best friend Dawn has left Stoneybrook and is now in California. Her boyfriend belongs to the volleyball team and now it's in somewhere - I don't know, but not in Stoneybrook. And one of Mary Anne's friends is having mono. But when Mary Anne gets job from Stoneybrook Library, her blues is away. But things aren't alright. Somebody is setting fires all over the library! Who would want to burn down all the book? And the library is fulled of children! Mary Anne and her friends understand that this is serious thing and they have to solve this mystery, before it's too late!

A great book
The "Mary Celeste" was a trading vessel found adrift in the 19th century. The crew was missing and there was no apparent reason found or note made in the log to explain what had occurred. To this day there is still no answer to this mystery.

This book by Jane Yolen is a terrific introduction to the mystery that is a fun read for children and adults. It is designed to be thought provoking and to encourage kids to use critical thinking. All of the different theories about the ship are presented and the reader can draw his or her own conclusions.

It is highly recommended.

Questions and theories to explore
What a fascinating and thought provoking story! The Mary Celeste was found abandoned over 100 years ago leaving a multitude of still unanswered questions. The story engages students and leads them to propose theories of their own. Hopefully Jane Yolen and her daughter will write many more "unsolved mysteries from history"!

The Best on the Mary Celeste
As a decendant of Captian Briggs' family, I am very familiar with the details surrounding this mysterious event! Jane Yolen does a wonderful job of organizing and distilling all the information that is available and making it accessable to children (my own children thank the author, this story makes more sense to them now!). In addition, I am going to buy it for several adult members of our family. A wonderful job, terrific format, very readable... Thank you!

this is an awsome book
This book is one of Ralph's great. The Moody Family goes through lot's off hardships after leaving Colorado.

Excellent book for the whole family, Mr. Moody's and yours!
As a forth grader in Colorado our teacher read the first two books in Ralph Moody's series to our class. Now, almost 30 years later I'm reading the whole series to my family, we love them. Even our 3 year old asks me to read them at bed time.

Mr. Moody's descriptions and the story of his life are more than touching and heartwarming, they are important lessions in morality, life and love. You cannot help but fall in love with young Ralph, his independant mother, and all the rest of her children.

You will laugh and cry as this young cowboy and his family make a new home in Boston. Starting with almost nothing, through hard work the whole family pitches in to make their own way. Rich with history, this book is about life, both the good parts, as well as the bad and how one young man, lived it (mistakes and all).

Even if you don't think you like reading, try these books. They will change your mind.

The saga of the fatherless Moody clan in Massachusetts
Another inspiring account of the Moody fanily. This time the scene is Massachusetts. The earlier books were set in the American West. Mary Emma is the mother of the clan. She is determined that her family will make its own way in life. She gets a job in a sweatshop to learn how to do fancy laundering. Ralph works at a store in his spare time. Almost all of the children do something to help earn a living. At school Ralph gets in trouble for things that wouldn't have mattered in Colorado. The younger children are seen more in this book than they were previously. Grace is now a young lady who is tempted to put on airs. The whole family's work ethic stands out as refreshing compared to many young folks of today. Their grit and determination are to be admired. I recommend the reading of this book by any one of any age.

A beautifully inspiring true story!
A beautiful story ... a true testament that "for God, nothing is impossible". Nicely written and easy reading; a joy for any age, especially for today's youth - an example of the benefits of enduring hardship and sacrifice.

Such an inspiring, fulfilling experience to read this book.
I could not put this book down. In a world filled with trashy novels that contain the usual tales of love affairs or intrigue, this book is such a gust of fresh air. It inspires one to the utmost and fills the heart, as the title states; with wonders. It truly fills the soul and mind. And what makes it extra special.....It's true!!! This is the book to read if you have lost hope in God or doubt his existence. Read it!

Fascinating. I read it to the end and immediately re-read it
Hard to put down. I couldn't wait for each tomorrow, when I could continue reading.
