A new century, with information that still valid!
Mr. Muhammad has done an excellent job in researching this subject matter. The topics are laided out quite well throughout the course of this book, and are formated in understandable narrative prose. This is a book that helps to alert the unaware consumer about the pit falls of credit card sceems, and shadey loan mortgage plans that have manage to fool more than a few of us. It has just been a great help to my wife and I in how we are consolidating our creditcard bills. In closing I would like to extend a heart felt thanks to Mr. Muhammad and his family for the generosity that they had extended to me during our years in California (the BayArea). Mr. Muhammad, please feel free to e-mail me about matters of economic freedom or anything else.

A Glance at the Life of the Holy Prophet of Islam
The book starts with a look at the pre-Islamic world order. It deals with not only the events that occurred during the life of the Prophet, but also the philosophy and thinking behind the Prophet's actions. This is a great book to read for those interested in an introductory guide to the life of the Prophet.

McIllvaney is Incredible!
Probably the most eloquent sportswriter I've encountered, he combines his wonderful writing technique with a thorough knowledge of the sport gleaned from years spent ringside. Best of all are his comments on the sport of boxing in general, which succinctly describe the multitude of paradoxes that exist within an environment that is at once brutal and, in its own way, incredibly noble. McIllvaney understands boxers and their suffering and transmits their lives so realistically, it's as if one knows them personally. You can't go wrong with this one!

Fantastic, and insightful
I was part of the first group of people who saw this book before it's release. Muhammad Ali came to my high school to promote cultural, and racial unity. This book helped young teenagers such as myself that the world should not be filled with hate. Healing helped my school heal, with it's powerful knowledge.

A thoughtful narrative with a strong inner theme
Heket: The Goddess Who Birthed The Gods is first novel of a trilogy by Yolanda Muhammad, and is based upon Egyptian mythology, history, and legend. The little-known, frog-headed Goddess of Birth Heket must undertake a task given to her by Ra, the Father God, to locate and empower men and women who have a grand destiny to influence humanity and the Earth itself. A thoughtful narrative with a strong inner theme that bridges centuries and continents, Heket will especially appeal to readers with an interest in original fiction by a gifted author.

Hidden Treasure (Pata Khazana)

Fascinating Ancient Muslim poetry
"Rating = 9. The Hidden Treasure is a remarkable book of old Afghan (Pashtoon) poems collected and discussed in 1729 by Mohammad Hothek. Some poems date back to the Seventh Century, but most were written during the Hothek's life or shortly before, so he knows the authors or about them. The book has sections devoted to the history and veracity of the poems, poems of two periods, and poems written by early Muslim women. The 18th Century manuscript was assembled and translated to Persian by Abdul Hay Habibi in 1944. This volume was recently translated from Persian into English by Abdul's son, Khushal Habibi. It should be read by most Muslim scholars in order to learn how Islam was presented throughout much of its history in Central Asia. As a naturalist, I was interested in poetic references to natural objects: flowers, trees, birds, insects, mammals."

Follow the Path to the Light at the End
This book has led me to believe that there is indeed hope for us in the 21st Century to re-discover a spirituality. One that will work in these current times, that is.

What these two authors have done is to present to the reader, four of the most influential sages or saints (depending on your location) and their lives, their thoughts and their personalities.

Armed with this knowledge the reader then finds it extremely possible to undertake the difficult process of finding a sense of grounding in today's turbulent society.

Inner Dimensions of Islamic Worship
Published in Hardcover by The Islamic Foundation (1983)
Authors: Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad Al-Ghazali and Muhtar Holland
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Every Muslim should read this book
This book is easy to read and very slim, so it does not take long for a person to read through it at least once. Most people, however, will want to take longer so they can reflect on what Al-Ghazali is saying. Basically, he breaks down the 5 pillars of Islam and focuses on each one and how to perfect one's worship in that pillar. My favorite was the one that he focuses the most on: Prayer. He lists techniques to be better at performing prayer and being closer to Allah while doing so. The best part is that he explains how even the companions of the Prophet (saw) had problems and were not perfect in their worship. It is a constant struggle, and his book helps in that struggle. A must read for everyone who is interested strengthening their faith.
