A great resource!
This is an excellent collection of gay short fiction, many from the pre-Stonewall period of obscurity. With the current explosion of GLTB literature, a sequel is in order:)

39 Inteligent pieces of litrature - source of pride!
The anthology is an excellent book. The stories were not written exclusively by gay authors, and surprises are waiting for the readers (e.g. Noel Coward's beautiful story). The 39 stories are offered by well-known authors (e.g. Forster, Isherwood), known young authors (Leavitt, Kramer) and by those less known. In so introducing new and promising authors to the readers, Leavitt and Mitchell prove yet again that the distinguished house of Penguin made the right choice in selecting them as editors. RUN TO BUY!

Excellent overview of this epic battle of antiquity.
I thoroughly enjoyed this installment of the Osprey Military Campaign Series. As usual, the information is concise, to the point, interesting, and a fascinating read. Also, the maps and other illustrations and photos, are fantastic. If you like ancient history, this is an excellent introduction to a particular epic battle of antiquity.

Full of insights and very well Written
Another excellent book from the Osprey Campaign Series. This earliest recorded Battle in the human history is recounted and critiqued by the author in an exciting manner. As opposed to a mundane account of the battle and the events leading to it, the author constantly provides objective strategic insights to the battle based on the analysis of the battlefield as well as the compositions of the armies. This introductory book is well illustrated and provides photographs of key areas of the battlefields. Highly recommend.

A Success Story
This book is an excellent resource tool! It has been written for the hands-on manager who practices MBWA. (Those who aren't hands on - need to read it to become hands on!) I highly suggest that college students get this book to assist with their course work.

A coach for all your workplace questions
With to-the-point topical chapters on many aspects of executive life - from Age to Writing Skills - this book is not to read cover to cover but rather the night before the big meeting. Acting as a coach, this book can replace that midnight phonecall to a trusted friend or that hour of doubt about the way to handle things. The presented Secrets of Success are quite simple - no deep management philosophy here - but a little logic and humanity is often just what the situation needs. The quotes by experts in the field make things crystal clear. Very useful for starting executives but also for the long-time CEO that needs a check-up to current ways. With a special feature on Decision Making.

a useful book
I've the same book but a french one, it is the most useful book a reptiles' lover must have. It is simple to read, to understand. There's a good introduction to reptiles classifications (which is not obvious for begginers), the "identity card" for each animal is well conceived.
A good book to bring for travelling.

One great book.
Like all the books in this series "Reptiles and Amphibians" gives a species by species look at a huge variety of creatures. From Chameleons to Cobras this book has a great selection. There are not many field guides out there with such fantastic and detailed photos so I suggest it for anyone who loves the to some "unlovable" slimy or scaly creatures of our world.

well worth the money
I have the orignals of this story and would tell any fan outthere that this book is well worth the price. If you likeSpider-man, and/or Venom this is an excellent book.

The Creation of Marvel's NO-GOOD Villian
The story starts with Cletus Cassidy, serving 11 consecutive life sentences, in the same cell as Eddie Brock, who continues to train himself for the destruction of Spiderman. When Eddie's "other", the alien symbiote bent on Spidey's death, breaks him outta jail, it leaves behind a spawn of itself, the same yet different. Cassidy runs into it while watching Venom flee. They bond and CARNAGE is born. Spiderman investigates the random murders of CARNAGE after a fellow lab assistant at ESU is killed there. After a tussle, Spidey decides the only way to stop one madman with no sense of right is to bring in another with a twisted sense of justice. Venom and Spiderman team up to end Carnage's carnaval of blood.

Using SPSS to solve statistical problems
The authors state that they wrote the books with two primary goals in mind. An opportunity to learn and use the statistical software package SPSS and to provide an introduction to a variety of statistical analysis procedures commonly used by graduate students, researchers and other professionals.

They have succeeded extremely well on both occasions.
The book has made a tremendous difference in the analyses of data collected for my master's thesis. The text is well written, well presented and in logical order. The examples, described in the book but also provided on a diskette, are very useful and clearly explain which procedures to use for which analysis and why. The illustrations in the book closely match the examples and the section "Interpreting SPSS --- results" is extremely useful in analyzing one's own results. One minor drawback: the text assumes total lack of computer literacy and goes to embarassing length in explaining how to open and save files. It can safely be assumed that most people using books of this kind would at least know that much.

All in all, a great book and a real time saver!

Ideal supplementary book for learning basic statistics
This book is very easy to read. It covers most topics you will meet in basic statistics. Very good explanations in procedures and outputs. Although you can not find any statistical formula in this book, use it with conventional statistics text books will be very benefical.

30 minutes that could change your entire life!
Author David Cottrell, founder of CornerStone Institute, has done a tremendous favor for the 21st century business community by publishing this handy and quick read. In less time than it takes to watch a sitcom on TV, "175 Ways" inspires you to cut through the time-consuming portions of your day to have the time you need to do what you do well.

This little book is a "must" for every new graduate, every veteran business person and everyone in between. Not only can you learn to save time, but you can also learn how to get the most out of every minute, whether at home, commuting or at the office.

By virtue of its application to every lifestyle, this book may well replace the "One-Minute Manager" as required reading for every employee of every company in America.

And, for the price, each time management tip is worth its weight in gold!

student friendly text for general psych students
This text has received rave reviews from my students. It is reader-friendly, well-organized and up-to-date. The authors have integrated biological, cultural and social, psychological and other aspects in their explanantions. The case studies are well done and on target, simple yet precise. This text works well for a semester course (ours in twelve weeks and I have found that I can adapt it to that period of time). There is enough theory to interest advanced students, and enough basic "criteria/DSM lists" to satisfy the more [cognitively] concrete members of the class.
