Inspiring
I cannot begin to express my fondness for this book. It is truely excellent. I was given the book for my 16th birthday. It has opened my eyes to what I really am and has taught me to love myself for who I am. The Daughter/Sisters project, the inspiration begin the book, is an excellent program. Infact, the author of the book lives in my home town. I was able to meet her, and since knowing her, I have become best friends with her daughter, one of the young women to tell her story in the book. It is a pleasure to know the minds behind such a wonderful book. I highly recommend it for those of you in search of you identity.
incredibly heart felt, unbelievably brave
"Daughters of the Moon, Sisters of the Sun" is the most enlightening book I have ever read into the hearts and souls of young girls and young women. It confirms every fear and every joy I ever had as a young girl. I only wish this book and the Focus Group inwhich it was born from were around when I was growing up. Even today--in my 30's--it spoke to me and made me feel I can make a difference in the upbringing of my young niece. I highly reccommend this book to everyone who ever wanted to make a difference in the lives of young women--and, also, young men.
Awesome perspective on the lives of females...
This book is a great representation of the problems and triumphs of females. I can't say that I identified with all the stories but I found them to be a learning experience. The authors of this book and many of the girls who told their stories are neighbors of mine, and it was a little strange to read about people I know like that. But over all it was excellent!

excellent retelling of a beautiful story
A potentially dreary three-and-a-half hour train ride whizzed by thanks to The King's Sister -- an excellent retelling of one of my all-time favorite stories -- King Arthur and the Roundtable. Seeing the story thru the eyes of King Arthur's sister afforded a different and excellent perspective to view the events unfold. The book moves so smoothly -- thanks to graceful writing and pacing. Bravo. I look forward to the sequel.
A must for the young reader in your life.
Kids (and adults!) will love this book. Schafer knows her stuff--it's a great journey through a historical landscape, with plenty of romance and adventure. A great gift. A gem.
The King's Sister is first rate!!
What a wonderful book! Full of adventure and intrigue! I couldn't put it down! I recommend this book to all! Is a sequel in the works?

I CAN RELATE!
Wordsmith Judy Blume uses more verbal magic in this illustrated children's book about a little brother and a big sister. Another book that, at age 12, seemed "too kiddie" and beneath me.
I don't care if you're 60, 16, or 6 years-old! Even if you did not have the experience of growing up with siblings, or, in my case, I was the youngest, but had a smaller niece that acted as a baby sister.
Read so you know the title. Read so you know better than any Child Psychology book on the structure of Sibling Dynamics!

A Must Have Book for Every Family
My son (8 yrs old) read this to his sister (6 yrs old) while I was combing her hair. We all laughed so much, he had to read parts over. This is a school library book and I am ordering it now to keep on our library shelf. It will be the book I give to ever child I know.
My children are exactly at the age of the characters with reverse gender. They could readily identify with the situations and could laugh at very 'real' conversations. I am sure they recalled how many times they have each said, "You love him/her better than me." I know I could. I want them to read this book once a month so they can remember the joy in having each other.
words from THE Great One
I am actually purchasing this book as a gag gift for my baby brother. I believe we were nine and five when we first read this book and now, eons later, it has evolved into a family/cult classic around our homes. The book is fantastic and it most definitely captures some of the siller moments that go along with sibling rivalry.

I could read this over and over again
I read this over 2 years ago, and I still remember very well what happens. It is great book for 8 to 11 year old girls. I guess really anybody would like it.
I could read this all day long
I liked how I never knew what would happen next. I also thought Ruthie's Gift was the best written book I have read. I hope you will love it as much as I did. I read it in my third grade class. I recommend this book for everyone.

Interesting read.
A couple of stories to work on, and such a direct approach to the faith of the nuns in the story. Most mysteries that involve nuns focus much more on the mystery, the story, the plot, the characters, etc. Faith - and true good and evil - usually get short shrift. Not so here.
A treasure!
Hilger gently introduces the uniniated into the not always gentle world of the religious. An excellent first effort, and I look forward to the next Sister Abigail mystery. Ms. Hilger, your reading audience awaits!
Divine connection
Great plot, super characters, and prose that seemed to come from heaven itself in places. My only complaint was the novel's length. I hope subsequent installations of the series have more pages to turn. Bravo to Ms. Hilger for a job well done.

Simply amazing.
I had to read it twice to get it because it switches back and forth from present to past. It's a brilliant story; one that reaches out to you. It's one of those books where you say you will only read 2 chapters and save the rest for tomorrow and you ending reading the rest of the book. I think this would make a great movie.
My Daniel
This was my favorite childhood book. It inspired me to want to become a paleontologist. I find the study of dinosaurs fascinating. I am now 18 and just re-read it recently. I was just as intrigued with it now as when I was an 8-year-old child. A beautiful book that everyone should read.
My thoughts of the Book My Daniel
Julis Creath, now Julia Summerwaite, is taking her grandchildren through a history museum when she remembers her young life when her brother was alive. Julia tells the story to her grandchildren of when her brother got dinoasaur bone finding fever. I really like this book. It leads you from one page to another, not even realizing you're turning the page. Daniel, Julis's brother, finds dinoasaur bones, but has trouble with a greedy paleontologist that is trying to take the bones for himself. During the commotion Daniel gets hit by lighting and is killed. Then Daniel's pa takes over. Julia also has a little something to show her grandchildren in the museum.

My nephew loves it!
I sent this book to my nephew after his little brother was born. He was so excited to fill in the pages. He is so proud to be a big brother. A great gift to send along to the older sibling when you're also sending a new baby gift. New babies tend to get all the attention and the older kid get lost in the excitement.
Great gift for any sibling
I bought this book for my daughter before our son was born. It was a great way to get her involved and excited about the arrival of her new brother. It also gave me and my daughter an opportunity to do something together as some of the activities necessitate parental supervision. I'd recommend it to anyone expecting a new addition to the family. -Norma Rems
Buy this book!
I bought this book for my seven year old daughter. It is such a wonderful little book for her to work on. She loves her baby brother and has had a ball working on this kid-friendly book. I also liked how it has sections that she fills out about herself, so she feels special too. This book would also work for a younger child with an adult helping them. If you have an older child and a new baby I highly recommend buying this book for your older child. It will be a wonderful family keepsake for both older child and baby!!!!!

The Very Best
This book is about two girls that really think they know each other, but they're not sure. Then one girl goes to a place in the library and finds out that they were sisters long ago. So the sisters meet at the restaurant and tell each other, but the other thinks she's crazy. So she wants to stop thinking about it, but she can't.
I love this book so much that my mom had to drag me to bed. The book was the first thing that popped into my head. I know that I'm bragging, but this book is great! I think it's the best book I've ever read. If you think you've read the best, then take that back and read Sisters, Long Ago.

Sisters, Long Ago Review
Sisters, Long Ago is a wonderful novel by Peg Kehret. Willow, a teenager with a sister struggling through lukemia, has strange dreams of her past self and begins to take them seriously. Sisters, Long Ago kept me interested until the very end and I recommend it to readers of all age. The story is much deeper than reincarnation; it's about accepting people for who they are, learning and growing up, and much much more. You don't know how good it is until you read it!
Amazing
I bought this book when it was first published, and it served as my first real exposure to reincarnation. The book is very intriguing and covers the topic in a realistic way: reincarnation workshops, skeptics, dreams, etc. The sub plots also keep you reading until the last page. This book literally opened up new worlds to me, and I hope it does the same for you!

A wonderful gift
The sisters memory book is a fun scrapbook project. Each page includes a prompt to enter photographs and details of a specific event from teachers, vacations, pets, to embarassing moments. I gave this book to my sisters when she graduated from college. It is a precious, thoughtful gift that she treasures.
FANTASTIC
This is the most awesome gift you can give your sister. I have a sister who has everything and what she wants and doesn't have she goes and buys for herself anyway. Buying a gift for her has always been difficult but this book is something she cannot get for herself. I had alot of fun filling it out and digging through old photographs, letters and my own memories to fill it in. I havn't given it to her yet, it's for Christmas, but I can't wait to see her face when she receives it. The best thing is that it is priceless.
Great Gift for Your Sister
I bought and completed this book as a gift for my sister. Its full of all our special memories and pictures. When I gave the completed book to my sister and she read it she was so moved that she cried. She shows it to anyone who will sit still. Your sister will love this book! (If you don't want to use original pictures in the book try copying them on a high quality color copier. It works great!)
