An inspiring tale of Helena Blavatsky; a friend of humanity.
This is by far the best and most accurate biography of the mystic and altruist Blavatsky, that I have ever read! Judy Saltzman, PhD, Professor of Philosophy, has it right when she writes: "This book is the definitive contemporary biography of the `Mother' of the ideas that began the New Age Movement."

Funny and amusing
A collection of stories about a fictional couple, Harry and Sylvia, in different settings and situations. My favorite is the one of the photographs, which arrive at Harry's door, showing Sylvia in various poses. Harry falls in love with a woman he has never met. From the attack of the squirrels to Harry's quest for the best club sandwich in America, it is a tour of love, relationships, and human interaction. Brilliant!

Great documentation of drawing development
This book is a thorough record of one child's natural development in drawing. Having so many images makes it clear to see the progression through various stages. It's also clear how each stage has its own value and serves as a foundation for the next. Seeing what the child drew on her own time and out of her own interest is also beneficial. An amazing documentation of a child's development complete with the ages noted for each image.

Fabulous book for kids of all ages!
The splendid underwater photos in this book bring kids face to face with a variety of coral reef fish including comical clown fish, valiant damselfish and shy gobies. Even little kids love it. Our 17 month-old made me read it five times yesterday! For older kids, the simple but rich text gives a sense of each fish's personality. Highly recommended - Sylvia Earle and Wolcott Henry have masterfully crafted a book that educates while entertaining and engaging the imagination of readers of all ages.
