Excellent, Challenging introduction to Applied math
This book is very clear, with many neat, simple and effective igures. It has extremely interesting and challenging examples and topics from applied mathematics (particularly fluid dynamics) which are very well explained given their complexity. In addition this book is a bargin at only 55 dollars, and has good problems with solutions in the back. recommened to anyone learning calculus on their own or looking for a nice, compact, cheap reference book on calculus (covers through multi-dimensional caluculs with excellent emphasis on vector calculus)

A wonderful resource!
This book by David James can be used as a source of beautiful designs which can be adapted to many media - I have used them myself to make computer art and know of someone using his designs for quilting. There is no limit to their usefulness for those enthralled by the beauty and complexity of Celtic design.

An excellent introduction to the Celtic World
This book is a great read - providing an excellent overview of the Celts from their early European Iron Age times to Celtic Christinity in Ireland. Very readable text by David James, who is editor of a magazine called Celtic Connections, and fine artwork by Courtney Davis. I really enjoyed this book and found it very informative. Would recommend it to anyone starting out on a Celtic journey.

The Standard on Civil War History
Professor Donald provides insight into how the collective decisions of the past have led to so many of the problematic circumstances we face as a nation today. Professors Donald, Baker and Holt take the reader back to over twenty years before the beginning of the Civil War and continue through Reconstruction to examine the various factors and angles from which the entire history of the Civil War and Reconstruction is derived. The student of American History has everything needed in one concise volume to gain a working knowledge of the Civil war and Reconstruction era. This work is a well-documented, factual and detailed account of the most trying period of history our nation has seen to date. The work is accurate, comprehensive and concise. No doubt The Civil War and Reconstruction by David H. Donald will maintain a prominent place in any serious historical library for years to come.

The Very Essence of Irish Storytelling
Being of Irish descent, I am very particular about hearing Irish stories in recorded form. There are some really good editions out nowadays. But this one is the best. I knew I was in the presence of greatness when I beheld the wonderful packaging, and it just got better the longer I listened to these truly wonderful stories. My favorite is one I've read many times, by Joyce, entitlled "The Boarding House." Here it is transformed into something that is difficult to describe and thrilling to experience. The narrator, who must be Irish, has perfectly deciphered Joyce's intent. He has also given us some of the very finest renditions of Irish stories I have ever encountered. "The Weaver's Grave" comes to life as if by magic. There is wonderful music here and very lifelike sound effects that are very skillfully and gently woven into the fabric of these great works. It is such a pleasure to listen to these recordings, you will be listening over and over again, as I have.

A very informative and well put together book
James David Davis did an excellent job of putting together information for the novelty phone collector. Great pictures along with clear, concise information make this book a must-have for anyone who collects novelty phones. I refer to this book almost daily! It's very well thought out, with different chapters and categories which make it extremely easy to use and reference. It covers not only working phones, but also phone collectibles, such as miniatures, and toy phones as well. With the limited amount of reference books out there geared toward the novelty phone collector, it is very refreshing to not only have this book available, but also have it written by someone who is himself a novelty phone enthusiast. I am looking forward to his next book.

Leadership at its finest
Regardless of whether you are a great leader or are working to achieve successful leadership, this book provides great devotions. If you are searching for something on motivation then you look under the subject heading of motivation and see what stories are available. Each story is motivating, inspiring, and has modern day settings.
The stories are from some of the great leaders of today as well as some from the not so distant past. The devotions will assist any leader in determining a solution for an issue. Leadership Devotions are accompanied by scriptural references so you do not just read what someone else has said or done, but what God says about the same topic.
A great addition for any leader's library, "Leadership Devotions", should be on the shelf of all leaders. It doesn't matter whether you are a leader of many, few, or one, this book will stimulate you to become a great leader.

A classic work by pioneers in the field of cocaine addiction
This book is written by leading psychiatrists who were among the first to identify the powerful danger of addiction to this form of cocaine. Crack was introduced into the Bahamas before it began to have its devastating effects in other countries including the U.S. Drs. Allen and Jekel have studied the crack problem from its inception. Containing much information based on extensive professional involvment with crack addiction and the large-scale social damage it causes, this volume is necessary reading for all serious students of the crack problem

Attention Lovecraftian Horror Fans
This is the eleventh book in Chaosium's Cthulhu Cycle series. This volume features tales of Lovecraft's most well-known creation, the octopus-headed entity, Cthulhu. Included are the foundational stories (i.e. "The Call Of Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft and "The Black Island" by August W. Derleth), some rare reprints (i.e. "Some Notes Concerning A Green Box" by Alan Dean Foster) and some interesting new stories of Cthulhu in the modern world (i.e. "Rude Awakening" by Will Murray). In any collection the stories are of varied quality but I enoyed the majority of the works collected. If you are a reader of Lovecraft's Mythos fiction then this is a must for your library.

The letters of three sons are contained here, preserving valuable insights not only of battles and camp life but also frank opinions of the behavior of high officers and politicians. The tenacity of the Piersons, through sickness and wounds and hunger, in a War they didn't welcome, is fine testimony to the courage and patriotism of the Condederate soldier.
