Utterly delightful!!!
Ms. Pizutti combines her trademark zany humor and her love for the Lord in a romance that is inspirationally motivating as well as a delightful read. Prayer warrior Hattie is hilarious! Characters are welldrawn and lovable. This is a wonderful book and I would highly recommend this--as well as Suzy's other books--to any woman who wants a little dose of laughter and inspiration.

Hattie to the Rescue!
This is a humorous, heart-warming romance about two hard working but lonely all-business types called Sean and Julia who end up at the same boarding house. Their lovable--and slightly deaf--landlady is the type whose muddled but sincere prayers always get answered, throwing the lives of her young tenants into hilarious confusion. Add Sean's baby niece to the mix and you have a surefire recipe for one zany disaster after another. This one will give you lots of laughs--and maybe even a few tears--as, along with Sean and Julia, you are reminded what life and love are really all about

great story, fab translation, and cool drawings!
This book started it all for me. It stood out in the sociology section of floor 3 at the library. They say that you can't judge a book by its cover, but often, a cover will tell you a lot about the book.

That's how it was with this one. The cover was funky, with half-finished etchings. What was written inside was even better. It was a beautiful discourse on the nature of Love. From Agathon's (it was Agathon that told of Achilles and Patroclus...wasn't it?) tale of devotion, Aristophanes' haunting fable about our "other halves" (and the interludes in between, especially the one about hiccoughs) to Socrates' speech on love "involving the mind and not the body", this is a timeless and highly accessable study.

Read it a few years ago, and have been into philosophy ever since.

Love a la Socrates
Not only should this book be the literary book-fellow to any Classics student, but an absolute must for every human being on the face of the planet. Griffins' translation is not only beautifully rendered/translated but extremely funky and contemporary. It is so applicable to our own modern interpertations of life, the universe, and everything, that you will easily forget than it was written over 2,500 years ago. In addition, the book design values are astounding. The fonts, both English and Greek, are lovely that even the reader who has never studied Greek will fall in love with the flowing lines.

Thoroughly adorable duck!!
Witzy is the most adorable duck ever. Old and young will fall in love with him, instantly! Read about him and his friends in this and all the other Witzy Books. A guaranteed hit!

Witzy Wonders
This book is a perfect mix of adorable characters, cute and cuddly illustrations, and simple (but sweet) ideas. It beautifully captures the inquisitive nature of little people. My 3-month old daughter smiles every time we open this book. It is fun to look at, and even more fun to listen to. I'm ordering the other Suzy Spafford books to hear more about Witzy, Patches, Boof, and their friends!

Perfect
This book is perfect. I discovered it at my local library while working on my children's literature review file. I read it and was floored by how great it was and how I would not rest until I owned a copy of my very own. The book is tall and narrow just like the man himself. I especially liked the pictures of Abraham as a little boy. In so many other books, even children's books, Mr. Lincoln is portrayed as looking gruff his entire life. In this book, he smiles and grins and is adorable just like any other little boy. The book also has small ancedotes about his life which make Abraham more real to young children. The text handles the assassination in a way that is not as scary to young children. One of the most moving pictures is Lincoln's funeral train passing a field where both a black and white man were working, side by side, but had stopped to bow their heads. I read this book to a Kindergraten class and they were enchanted. I highly recommend this book for any classroom or school library. Enjoy!

New Age or is it...?
This is a great book for those of you who love aromatherapy yet want to incorporate the sense of regognizing how the combinations of color and scent can effect people in great ways.

It is nice to have an approach other than what is taught is the US that makes sense and is easy to follow. Not hocus pocus, just sound advice and an inforamtion packed book.

Great additition to those in aromatherapy already as well as those just started out. Gets you started on the right foot!

A great source for teachers
I am a student of English Competence and found this book extemely insightful and practical for any teacher of Composition, especially a teacher of ethnolinguistic minority students. I find that this book integrates theoretical foundation (especially about language acquisition) with practical pedagogical implications that helps any teacher better understand and teach his or her students about English composition.

Baby's favorite book
My little one loved this book! At age three months, she would get so excited over the red color, crinkly pages, and dangly green ladybug legs, that she would just quiver. At six months, it was still a favorite page-turner, chew book. Plus, the text was simple and short. A perfect baby book. We will buy them for gifts.
