This seven page boardbook is filled with colorful, fun photos of cats and kittens playing, eating, bathing and just being cute. Short descriptions accompany these pics.. The book is the shape of a cat's head and the cover is a great close up picture of a cat's face. My daughter and I were at the library the first time she saw this book and she wouldn't put it down; she likes to study the face, especially the eyes. I don't know a toddler who can get close enough to a real cat to do that!

The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Both children and adults will enjoy "watching" the chick grow. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the chick went from egg to eight week-old rooster.

I bought this book a couple of months ago for our daughter,Rachel, who is now almost 10 months old. She has enjoyed it every read. The animal photos and the text, which allows you to read the sound each animal makes, never fails to bring a smile or a giggle. It is very durable, she has gotten it into her mouth a couple of times ,and its held up well. It is a delightful book.

This book will give you simple basics about the world's weather, how to read it and what it is about. If you don't want great in depth detail but simple easy to understand information then this book will fill that gap.

You get your money's worth for such a small book. The pictures are plentiful, and for the size of the book they pack a lot of information in there.

What a wonderful little book!! The book is small and the color pictures are awesome and so it the wealth of information. I carry it in my purse to read when I have time away from home.

For us, this book is a GREAT suppliment to our Intro to World History! This book is full of real photos of objects found to be from several ancient civilizations such as the Mesopotamia, Ancient Eygpt, China and others. My 7yo loves it! While I don't read everything to her from the texts, she can still put a "face" to the places we study to see that these people really lived.

I have found this book extremely useful in showing 15 and 16 year olds, both boys and girls, who are preparing to drive, how major components of a car relate to each other and how they work.

I feel it extremely important that kids know what is supposed to happen when they push on the brake, clutch, gas pedal or turn the steering wheel, what to watch for, listen to and smell when they drive a car.

This book gives an excellent, interesting, easy to understand view of how components of a car work and how they relate to one another, providing a perfect basis for discussion, questions and answers.

I am looking for two copies now for a nephew and a niece and I am very dissappointed to find it is out of print.
