It's too bad because Dave found Noah's Ark.
I never went to Turkey with him but I've seen his video, read his newsletter (I was the unofficial cartoonist) and I've read his book, THE ARK OF NOAH.
He self-published it himself and the book is in need of an editor, but the info is detailed and ultimately overwhelming. In the spring of 1948 (as Israel was coming into existence), an earthquake pushed a huge boat-shaped hull out of the earth about 17 miles from Mount Ararat. Dave's expertise as a ship salvager and his obsession to find the Ark drove him until his last breath and I defy anyone to prove him wrong.
Read it for yourself.
What's missing from the book: Dave's struggles with everyone from Christian television to National Geographic to even consider his data. Dave's adventures and arrest in Saudi Arabia open another outstanding archaeology book called THE GOLD OF EXODUS and, despite my urging him to include such exciting episodes, he avoided exploiting his fascinating travels and struggles. He avoided all of that Indiana Jones [stuff]. He wanted his research taken seriously.
Maybe someday someone will take up his life and his extraordinary find.
He certainly deserved it.

The underlying thesis of Trumbull's title is: instead of trying to live the Christian life in your own strength, surrender to Christ and let Him live His life in and through you.
How many times have we failed to heed this wisdom? When we allow Christ to have His way in our lives, we experience total and complete victory over sin and become a continual source of blessing to others.
In my humble opinion, some of the more important points Trumbull mentions are: 1) Christ has the power and responsibility to set us free from sin (our job is to surrender to Christ and let Him have His way with us), 2) Christ does not want us to work for Him, rather, He wants to be our life and work through us in His power, 3) Beware of the counterfeit victory where you try your hardest to live the Christian life instead of letting Christ live His life through you, 4) Stop trying to win the victory and let Christ win it for us! We cannot have victory until we surrender to Christ, 5) Distinguish between the Lord's leading and the devil's distractions, 6) Cultivate interesting and useful hobbies/interests that broaden your Christian perspective, and 7) Do not let the cares of the world and the church cause you to neglect those closest to you (how many times have we heard about this in the Christian and secular world!).
All in all, Trumbull's book is an easy read full of precious gems waiting to be mined. So stop trying to minister to others in your own strength and let Christ minister to others through you so you can experience His victory and others are blessed in the process!
Both vocational Christian workers and lay people will benefit from this read. The non-Christian will be encouraged to consider how a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as the basis of Christianity radically differs from the good works theology of other world religions.

The author, Charles Muller gives an account of a young boy not knowing anything about the Lord God. Grew up finding him in a miraculas way.
Each story you read in this book "Touched by God" is a blessing in its self.
If I could give this book a higher rating then 5 stars I would, for the author did a wonderful job bringing all of these stories together.
In reading this book you will find things will seem brighter and tomorrow will be a better day.God Conquers All!
Each story will grab you in a different way.It will touch your heart and soul. Some very sad but the author shows the reader how brave these people are, how much they trust in the Lord day by day.
He tells of a young boy who was wise beyond his years and how his wisdom lay in his love for God. This little boy's faith alone was an inspiration to me.
The story that Charles Muller tells of himself took my breath away. His words alone made me feel his pain, his emptiness, his longing for a God that he thought was no longer there!
He tells of a story that happened at four in the morning that brought him to say."God,I Love You".
This story, " Touched by God" is a must read. It gave me an inward piece that is hard to explain. Almost as though God touched me as I read it!.
