Count With Little Bunny is a fun and interactive book!
Count With Little Bunny has been one of my toddler's favorite books for over a year. The reusable stickers are adorable and also quite durable. Furthermore, the book does facilitate the learning of numbers. And how fun for a toddler to be in control of placing cars, stuffed animals, books, and balls on the appropriate pages. I am actually ordering another copy of this book for myself and I'm also buying one for a friend. A great book!

Good for even younger kids
My 2 year old son got this book from my mom and he LOVED it from the first reading. He is getting a little bit old for the usual toddler board books, but still won't sit still for a very long book. There are just the right amount of words on each page to keep his attention. The drawings of the animals are great and are perfect for a child who is learning animal sounds, etc. I anticipate that if he reaches a point where he is afraid to visit the doctor that I can use this book to calm his fears. Dr. Duck is very kind.

perfect for ESL kids
As a librarian, I found this version of Gingerbread Boy the most attractive for the ESL kids. The adventures of the Gingerbread boy sounded simple, but impressive to kids aged 4-6. The boy ran and ran and the young readers read and read through the pages of sharp expressions of the faces and the gestures of the old woman, horse or even fox and follow the lines of repetitive, brief words in English. Though the face of the boy is distinctively plain, the young readers simply put themselves into this little plain boy.... My kids request me to read it over and over, and then they read it over themselves. If you have a wonder about "What is reading interest of kids?", this reading experience is rich in answer. In particular, in those Asian areas where "reading with and for the kids" is not a popular practice, this is a good start....ideal for "reading for fun" or "learning for fun" programmes. I highly recommend this book to the parents, librarians and teachers (ESL teachers in particular)

Grandpas Are for Finding Worms
A terrific little book for kids about grandpas & all the fun things they can do together. It is delightfully illustrated with grandpas and children of different ethnic backgrounds throughout the book. It has "large" lift-the-flap pages with lots of colorful illustrations there too. This book is very well constructed & durable, which was important to me being a paperback with flaps to lift by little & sometimes not so gentle hands. My two and a half year old granddaughter loves this book and Poppy enjoys it too! When reading the book we substitute Poppy for grandpa since that is what she calls her grandpa. We are now awaiting the arrival of the other Puffin Lift-the-Flap books, Daddies Are for Catching Fireflies, Mommies Are for Counting Stars, & Grandmas Are for Giving Tickles by Harriet Ziefert.

Delightful
I have a two-and-a-half year old, and he enjoys this book immensely. The book follows an adorable little hippo as he prepares for his bath, washes and soaps himself, and then (most important!) cleans up afterward. The pictures are simple and colorful. Because the book is composed of short sentences that closely follow the pictures, and it uses the same words over and over again, it has helped my son to start to recognize words and pronounce them, even though he is well below the target age for this book.

a wonderful read-aloud with a humourous twist
Harry's bath is the story of a little boy whose bathtub becomes filled with creatures just as his mother, unseen, is ordering him into the bath. Harry's dilemma is resolved satisfyingly and amusingly in a way that children and adults will enjoy. A book that will be read many times.

great children's book with lovely illustrations
"Henry's Wrong Turn" is a great children's book about a whale lost in NY harbor. It is based on a true story. The book's lovely illustrations show many of NY harbors famous views like the Statue of liberty and the Staten Island ferry - and includes a map. A good book for young children to learn about NY and maps. Reading it to the class was always a big hit.

I Swapped My Dog
This book would be good for beginning readers. The text is short and rhyming. A man trades his dog for a horse. Each animal he trades for gives him trouble and he ends up with his dog. Contains excellent color illustrations, and would be a very good book for K through the 3rd grades, and also a good one for the teachers.

Hands-on reading fun for toddlers!
This book has big, interesting pictures, which are easy for its young readers to scan and which easily help toddlers catch the meaning of the story. It builds curiosity and anticipation for what is under each flap. My 16 month old twins love lifting each flap to see what surprise is being alluded to on that page! This book is fun, keeps my toddlers busy with helping, and is not so long that they lose interest before the story is over.
