A book for everyone
This is a book that everyone ages 9-99 will enjoy. Its exploration of what happens when a couple of kids get ahold of a TV that plays tommorow's news is hillarious. Its a book that can be read over and over again and not lose its appeal. This is deffinitely a book that will stay on your shelf for the whole family to read. A winner!

A great story for kids
I agree w/ the review below--this book is better than Freaky Friday. I've never forgotten how I wanted my own TV set that broadcast tomorrow's news today. This story has such charm, magic, and realism in it. Every child should read this book.

Even better than "Freaky Friday"
This is the sequel to "Freaky Friday" and I liked it just as much, if not more. Annabel is one of the best young-adult heroines I've read about--smart, funny and very human. I suggest this book to everyone!

No Es Un Libro Acerca Del Che...

Wholesome and fun
Counterfeit Detectives is a book filled with the elements every good story inevitably includes: amiable main characters, a plot that holds the reader's interest, as well as the right setting and theme for the tale. I first read the book at the age of eleven, and what makes me remember the adventures of Scooter and Mary Kane is how it is so wholesome and yet full of original quirks and more than just a touch of humor. An episode where the reader is shown the trail of a particular bill is especially clever.
The story captures an essence of the American Dream in childhood, filled with the curiosity, possibilites, and most importantly, imagination of youth. The two young heroes reflect the virtues of young minds, intelligent and still creative at the same time.
I recommend Counterfeit Detectives to anyone wishing to indulge in a lighthearted dose of fun and wanting to share this with their children. It is truly a book filled with warmth and joy, a nostalgic trip for parents and a hearty adventure for kids. A mystery worth investigating with the whole family!

Counterfeit Detectives
"Counterfeit Detectives" by David Krumboltz & Mary Dixon is a pleasure to read. Set in an Iowa small town, "Couterfeit Detectives" took me back to the days of innocent childhood when, as adventerous children, were able to express our free spirit. It was easy to identify with ten-year old Scooter, the town's leading, and only, boy detective. When Scooter stumbles across a bag of counterfeit money he sets out, with the assistance of his sister Mary, to solve the mystery and bring the criminals to justice. I especially enjoyed the humor, the compatible relationship between Scooter and Mary, and with their friends. This is a book that entertains the young reader and makes adults wish they could be a child again.

Counterfeit Detectives
This is a great book for middle-grade kids! It features two smart spunky kids, Scooter and Mary, who stumble on some counterfeit money, but nobody believes them. Using their brains, the kids solve the crime without the help of adults. Along the we we meet two funny, not-too-bright thieves--Jake and Lefty--who can't seem to do anything right. There are several other colorful characters in the story, a wonderful look at middle America (Iowa), and lots of fun scene throughout the story. Older kids can read it themselves, while parents can read it to younger ones. I highly recommend this book.

Journeyman wizard: Brilliant in every aspect
I found this book masterfully created. Not only was the initial unraveling of the mystery intrigueing, but I find the ideas fascinating. I often read fantasy that is full of unusual ideas, names, and places. Although this may add to the fantastical setting, I often find it difficult to grasp and remember all the new names and ideas. In this book, however, the ideas are concisely and clearly expressed. I absolutely adore the way Zambreno has discussed the theories behind magical spells, not to mention the wizard's guild.

Overall, this book was very cleanly written, tightly knitted, and easy to follow. It is not one of those hardcore fantasy novels; rather, Journeyman Wizard offers a fresh new perspective towards fantasy. This book kept me reading non stop late into the evening. I enthusiasticall encourage readers of all ages to read this book, and it's prequel, A Plague of Sorcerors.

A wonderful story.
I read this book years ago, but it's wonderful plot still remains in my imagination. I reccomend this book to anyone who loves fantasy. The characters were individuals, and were unique. They were not 'classic' and that's why I enjoyed the book so much. It was different.

Journeyman Wizard was a great book. I liked it a lot!
Journeyman Wizard is about Jermym who wants to become a spellmaker. In order to become a spellmaker he has to study with the master spellmaker, Lady Jean or Mistress Allons. She is the last master spellmaker. She is very strict. When someone uses the backlash of Jermyn's spell to kill Lady Jean, Jermyn is accused of the murder. Jermyn, Delia(Jermyn's familiar) and Brianne, Lady Jean's granddaughter, set out to prove Jermyn's innocence. The most unlikely person turns out to be The murderer!

Mary Wolfe has the perfect life with the perfect family until they lose everything and start to travel around the country in thier old RV. Her father starts to drink and becomes abusive, and her mother acts like a child, and refuses to grow up. Eventually Mary becomes the parents to her parents. Then Mary's crazy life spins out of control after one fatal day.

a wonderful book for ages 9 to any age.
i thought it was the most wonderful book i ever read.i suggest it to everyone. i know anyone will love it

She never thought she'd go all the way.
A 2 year vacation with 3 sisters and your parents. Maybe some people would like to get away from everything for a while. Mary did, too, until it all becomes too much. Mary was sick of it. Mary, being the oldest, took a lot of responsibility over ger younger sisters. Almost enough to have them call her mom. Their real mom being pregnant doesn't help, either. Finally settled on the west coast, Mary hopes things will get better, but they only get worse. Mom starts retreating back to childhood and Dad is trying his hardest to believe his own lies. Mary is aware something has to be sone. She sees everything falling apart; what is there to do? The RV breaks down, which only makes Dad mad and turns him to drinking. Now, stuck there, no place to turn,no one to turn to, Mary finds a solution. Definitely not a easy one , but a permanet one. Mary Wolf never wanted to hurt anyone, she just wanted a home. This book is easy to relate to. You realize you don't always see how good you have it, until you see someone who has it worse. It's very easy to read through the book without putting it down once. So, don't have anything to do this afternoon? Pick up Mary Wolf by Cynthia D. Grant, and listen to her story.

An Innocent in the Midst of Darkness
In today's world, kids are exposed to a lot of choices in which evil is not always clear. This is a great book for teens, girls especially, and is full of suspense. The characters are well- drawn and the protagonist, Tory, is both believable and likeable.

A terrific read!
Tory Madison is a female protagonist with the courage of a lion and the heart of a hero. In this time when the presence of evil in our lives has become a stark reality, it's satisfying to read a book in which the black-hearted beast is confronted and defeated. In this fast-paced story steeped in the occult, the struggle to triumph over a tragic past is paired with uncovering secrets in the shadowy present. A terrific read for young adults.

Amazing insight into the occult
I first read this book at 11, and saw nothing but a creepy story about the triumph of good over evil. Since then, I've come to realize the more complicated plot involved. This book offers an account of the hereticism in society today. The characters aren't very deep, though they are somewhat realistic. I would recommend this book only because of the information on this particular occult.

Quality time with Grandma!
My four year old grandson has this deck. He picks out a card and brings it to me to tell him the story. After he hears the story, we talk about the life lessons the story holds. What a wonderful way to spend "quality time" with my grandson!! I highly recommend this deck to anyone with children or grandchildren!! This deck is wonderful for all ages. It brings back memories of the fairy tales and nursery rhymes we loved as children, and brings the stories into new light. The story or nursery rhyme that goes with each card fits in excellently with the meaning of the card. For instance, the Lovers card is Beauty and the Beast. How perfect!!

Wonderful Concept; Beautifully Written
To create a divination tool useable by adults and children alike is no small feat and Dorothy Morrison has accomplished it incredibly well. Children will find all the images easily recognizable and something to which they can relate. Adults will be pleased with the reader-friendly imagery and the pragmatic, light hearted writing Ms. Morrison is so well known for. I cannot say BRAVA loudly enough since I have sought a deck that I felt comfortable with for over 10 years.

Patricia Telesco, Author: How to be a Wicked Witch & Other Books

An excellent book for an excellent deck
Tarot cards allow the user to access their subconscious / intuition through the use of archetypal imagery. Most Tarot cards use medeival imagery, which actually makes the cards less accessible for people in this modern age. We deal with very different issues than the people of 400 years ago. The same ideas are presented to us visually in very different ways via television, movies, etc.

What better way to re-connect the user with the cards, than using imagery we became familiar with in our childhood? The author of this book and the accompanying cards takes the unusual approach of replacing the medieval imagery with characters from fairy tales (including Grimm's and Mother Goose). The choice of characters for each card is very appropriate, making the deck very easy to use (for those of us who remember the fairy tales of our youth, at least!). ^_^

I don't read Tarot often enough to have the meanings of each card memorized, so I usually have to consult the accompanying books, etc., when doing a card-casting. However, after reading through the Whimsical Tarot book, I found that the meaning of every card was clear from the imagery-- and stayed clear over time. I believe that the issues represented in more traditional decks (such as Rider-Waite) are parallel to the issues respresented in fairy tales and nursery rhymes. However, fairy tales have been presented to us with characters, a plot, and (often) a lesson to be learned, whereas the traditional Tarot images are just that-- images. The use of storybook characters really brings the Tarot to life!

As an added bonus, the "Advice" explanations of each card are so well-written that they can be taken individually as topics of meditation or daily "points to ponder". Many Tarot books provide the briefest of descriptions for the related cards, leaving the reader confused as to how to interpret the card. The Whimsical Tarot book provides not only the storybook explanation, but also a couple of paragraphs of advice for each card.

Overall, this card and deck combo (note: Deck sold separately!) is one of the best I have come across. For those who find the Rider-Waite decks a bit too abstract, this deck is perfect! If you'd rather try something a bit more "adult", then check out the Rohrig Tarot deck-- but beware, there's no book for the Rohrig deck.

one of the best books I ever read as a kid
This is one of my absolute favorite books from when I was a little girl. My dad used to read it to us at night, and then I reread it when I got older. Very hard to find but worth every penny, this book is BEAUTIFUL and I hope it goes back into print someday.

My Favorite Book From My Childhood!
My mother would read this book to me and my sister before bed when we were about seven/eight yrs old. We both really loved this book and I think it helped our minds develop to a higher level of thinking and creativity. I read the book again in highschool and as an adult and got just as much enjoyment from it. I look forward to reading this book to my children. I would recomend this book for anyone :)

One of the best books I ever read as a child
Although I read many books when I was a kid, there were only about four or five that I would return to year after year- ones that gave me a thrill no matter how many times I entered their worlds. This is one of those books. It is the tale of two spoiled and thoroughly modern American children who accidentally follow their caretaker and gardener on a journey back in time to ancient Ireland. Upon arrival they meet a boy named Finn MacCool, who will go on to become one of the greatest figures in Irish mythology. Lonely from being raised in isolation, he decides to take them on his quest to become a man and claim the leadership of the Fianna, the legendary defenders of Ireland. Besides, he needs someone to compose an epic poem about his travels, and the two children have a knack for rhyme. Tannen makes the heroes and monsters of Irish lore utterly fascinating, yet accessible to children. I would spend hours and hours imagining myself questing around the Emerald Isle after reading this book. You and your children will be enchanted.

This book was great and I can't wait to read it again

A *MUST* READ FOR ANY FAN OF "THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS"
As a huge fan of the Y&R from its inception, I was very entharalled and delighted with this book. It is a *MUST* read for any fan of this show. Not only does it take you down memory lane, but it refreshes the memory of many story lines.

I thought it was a great and informative book.
This book told of the trials and tribulations of the characters of the past. It helped new viewers to catch up on the events of the past, while taking life long watchers on a trip down memory lane. Great Job!!

Great book!
I'm an LD resource teacher and I use these books with my kindergarten students to reinforce their classroom learning. The book gives them practice writing the letter in both upper and lower case, finding the letter in print, and seeing words/pictures of things that start with each letter. My kids love them. They are easy to put together compared to many mini-books I have seen, although I have to put them together for my little ones because they can't cut the right places or use the stapler. But the time spent is well worth it!

A Two Page Package
This is an excellent resource for the early childhood teacher. This book offers the opportunity for children to write the letters, to read words that begin with the letters and to look for environmental print containing each letter. Each letter of the alphabet is a neat little package in two pages. The pages are folded into a small book. It gives children a concrete method for reviewing the letters when taken home to share with family members. For children with little or no access to books at home, these mini-books increase the availability of alphabet books. The author offers many ideas to expand on the books. There are many ways to personalize each child's book. Children are successful when they can read and these books are one step to achieving this success!
