My main complaints at present are the too common typographical errors and variations in format across chapters.

It's a book for all ages that traces Myron's life from the farm to the bright lights.
I have had the honor and privilege to work with Myron many times over the past 12 years and "Accordion Man" is a true reflection of the man, himself. If you have ever seen a performance you must have met the man. He will spend 2 hours after a performance to talk with and meet anyone wishing to do so. A truly great American.

Maxwell-Heaviside theory is extended and developed to reveal many new insights. It is shown how in its accepted form this theory, of a hundred or so years, cannot properly explain simple optical and interferometric effects. Non Abelian electrodynamics, however, successfully describes a series of known phenomena and makes new predictions - such as the possibility of extracting energy from the vacuum and the interdependence of electromagnetic and gravitational forces.
The three volumes are well presented and balanced covering the traditional approach and introducing the new theoretical developments from a number of starting points. It is seen how generally they produce the same overall consistent results (which are mostly embodied in a general theory of Mendel Sachs).
Physical consequences are evaluated and supporting experimental evidence reviewed or referenced where it is available.
Aspects of this reviewed work are already being described as landmarks in scientific development.

In the introduction, almost as interesting as the body, Morduck and Korach explain the prevalance of idioms in addition to their historical and social significance. Now I realize how these common phrases maintain an important bond between the present and the past. Some of the idioms are so commonplace that I didn't realize their historical significance. Here is an example I found interesting,
"Apple of My Eye: It was believed as long ago as the ninth century that the pupil of the eye was a vital spot in the human anatomy. Primitive medical curiousity about it caused the early healers to study the pupil as closely as they could. They concluded that it was apple shaped, and so it become popularly known as 'apple of the eye.' Because the pupil was considered as vital as life itself, it become customary for a gallant hero to call the object of his affections 'the apple of my eye.'" (p. 16)
COMMON PHRASES: AND WHERE THEY COME FROM is well worth the money and time if you're as interested in idioms as I am.

However, if you're just starting your card game addicition this is definitely the book to have. One of my favorite things about the book is that it's divided into the various types of card games out there: there's a section on "War", "Rummy", "Authors" and various other categories. It's quite convenient, and the illustrations are also wonderful. Overall, an excellent buy.
