My son has loved Thomas the tank engine trains, stories, and videos since he was 2.5yrs old. We've progressed from simple board books to more complicated story lines. Since we purchased this book, he has wanted me to read it to him every night. I like the fact that the words are large enough so that we can start word identification, and the story is interesting as well! Also, all the popular engines are illustrated in full color and their numbers are evident for both color and number recognition. I want to know where we can buy more Dr Seuss beginner books with Thomas the Tank engine stories! Additionally, there are some adorable rhymes in this volume that are reminiscent of Dr Seuss.

A refreshing treatment of alternative economic organization. In a casual and conversational manner the author saves us the sugar coated reviews of the all-but magical Kerala development story and dives right into the reality of an industrial cooperative in an Indian state that is breaking all of the capitalist rules and still winning the game! A must read for anyone interested in the struggle to transform exploitation into cooperation and voluntary participation. This book is a breath of fresh air in the sometimes stale realm of economic literature. Includes detailed analysis of organizational structure of Kerala Dinesh Beedi.

Moore captures the sense of Hardy's writing in historical literary context. He demonstrates, in detail, that Hardy's novels were ironic, satirical, and by and large critical responses to the major themes of Romantic and Victorian cultural postions. Moore argues, convincingly, that Hardy's main theme in Wessex was the fall of idealism into a history which was without Reaon, or "non-rational," as Hardy once named it. Hardy's major novels, more shows, replay the dark themes of Shelley's "Triumph of Time," in local contexts.
Moore's study is comprehensive, detailed, and well-argued. It is surprising that it is not more widely appreciated in the Hardy and Victorian studies communities, both of which are sorely in need of a few good arguments and fresh critical approaches.
