The book takes you through a series of physical and mental exercises designed to prepare the student for proper magical advancement (with the focus being on sex magic of course). Other topics discussed include: Sex with demons, the use of "deviant" sexual practices in ritual, telepathic sex, a crash course in ensigilization of desire, etc.
Even though the quality of the information presented here is exellent, I have only given the book a 4 star rating because some fundamental aspects of sex magic are missing in order to make for a complete treatise on the subject (see Liber Kaos by Peter Carroll).

He inadvertently becomes involved with Maggie Rice and the birth of her little daughter. [grin] which she names after Del.
Del's partner, Bill brings in a bit of humor with his quotes and exchanges. Even with hormonal attraction, I don't understand how the writers can justify making their heros lose the sense of their objectives to their own and others endangerment.
The old adage is proved true that men and women don't work well together in life and death situations. Women skrew up the works.
Of course, it is Maggie's role to bring love and commitment to Del and that is the plot of the story but Del loses a bit of ruthlessness needed for the job.
Now Simon, he is ruthless to the bitter end, maybe a little crazy. But that is his role in this saga. Although he didn't appear dangerous enough in some of the books.
All in all, the story is Recommended --M
Now onto the final chapter in FAMILIAR STRANGER by Sharon Sala, and the story of Jonah and his confrontation with Simon.

The main weakness of the book is that it lacks a powerful sociological analysis of the issue. The book is basically descriptive, and Banks lets the women she interviewed do much of the talking. The problem is, few of these informants could offer much insight into why hair is so central within the Black community. Further, Banks seems only superficially aware of the large body of literature on colorism that bears on this topic. For example, she asserts that hair is more important than skin color in determining who gets what in US society, a claim that is at odds with virtually all previous work with which I am aware.
All in all, there is nothing new or fresh here, although I did enjoy the photographs featuring various hair styles.

Yes, these are high-end, avant-garde, mostly European homes as the previous reviewer has pointed out. But, Isn't this the type of book us more conventional architects should be getting our inspiration from? Perhaps some of these elegant details and constructs could trickle down into conventional residential practice, even speculative housing. If every residential architect were to study these types of details and enlighten their clients, I'm sure the quality of the built environment would improve. Let's broaden our horizons.
My only reservation in recommending this book is the outdated emphasis (by sheer volume of information) on how to make more llamas, which is neither appropriate for beginners nor an ethical activity considering the overabundance of cheap, grade, and crossbred llamas today. Likewise, the outdated misinformation about how young male llamas may grow up to misdirect their territorial aggression at humans (unhelpfully labeled "berserk" and attributed only to handled male crias in the book) may lead naive readers astray.
Buy this book for the terrific care and health information; look elsewhere for llama behavior and training information.
