Excerpt from the back of the book:
"Jovilette Wilder had thought her sedate but sexy boss was as gentle as a lamb-until she heard him roar. And for a woman who tamed lions for a living, Jovilette had a feeling that the untaming of temperate Keane Prescott would be far more dangerous..."

Dual Image is set in Manhattan and I particularly enjoyed reading about this city's landmarks as the couple travel around. But it was a bit eerie when the Twin Towers were mentioned.
I do recommend this book and many others by this author. Today Dual Image has been reprinted along with Local Hero, which is also set in Manhattan, in the one volume book, Truly Madly.
Excerpt from the back of the book:
As "Amanda Jamison", Ariel Kirkwood suffered through the daily traumas of a popular soap opera. Booth DeWitt had written his greatest script from the pain of his bitter marriage. Ariel knew that she wanted to play the scheming wife-a complete change from her sweet daytime heroine. But Ariel awoke the ghosts of Booth's past with her eerily perfect portrayl of his ex-wife. Could Ariel tempt him to love again?

Adam learns many important things from Kirby about life and love, and Kirby learns that those close to her are not what they seem to be.
The back cover's blurb reads:
Who had the missing painting?
Adam Haines was visiting the Fairchild mansion under false pretenses and, although he'd worked undercover before, he didn't enjoy it. He preferred to be straightforward, but you didn't catch many thieves that way. Moreover, Adam also wouldn't be able to make love to his chief suspect's fascinating daughter if he told her he was investigating her father!
Kirby had a disturbing fluid sense of right and wrong--one completely at odds with Adam's own code of ethics. But he knew she would see his deception as betrayal. What would it take for her to forgive him?

I'm initiated to the MacGregors when I first read "The MacGregor Brides". Hence I've waited for Daniel's story to be reissued. My verdict? It's enjoyable, but it definitely shows its age. Daniel is the quissential chauvinistic arrogant hero so ubiquitous in the romances of the 80s. It's enjoyable, but not a keeper.
"In From The Cold" is slightly better, but it's too short to really make an impact.
It is telling that despite its age, I enjoy "For Now, Forever" much more than the 1999 MacGregor book "The Perfect Neighbour".

Now, don't get me wrong. The book was enjoyable. If you can accept the idea of time travel and believe that two men from the 23rd century find their way to 1990's Oregon, you are in for a treat. The humor of their situation is played beautifully. Their inability to manipulate a stove, recognize a radio, or understand current phrases is comical. The sexual tension is great with many, many pages devoted to sexual attraction and union, the cutting edge of erotic writing that has made Nora Roberts beloved by millions.
The book appears to be a compilation of two previous works. In the first, "Time Was," Caleb Hornblower is sucked into a black hole and finds himself at a mountain cabin in Oregon, the residence of one Liberty (Libby) Stone. The attraction is immediate, the sex passionate, and the ending extremely romantic. In the second book,"Times Change," Caleb's brother Jacob comes to fetch him home. Since Caleb and Libby are on vacation, the only person he finds at the cabin is Libby's sister Sunbeam (Sunny) who is spending some time alone and deciding what to do with the rest of her life. Jacob and Sunny have a feisty yet passionate affair that will probably come to an end when he leaves to return to the 23rd century. Or will it? Can two smart and savvy women find love with men who will be born long after the women will die? Can flying in and out of black holes and going from century to century really be possible? Can the reader accept any of this and find the story satisfying? To a great extent, yes. My only complaint is that there is much repetition and the story goes on about 200 pages too long. Nora has been blessed with better editing and tighter writing in her later books. However, this one is definitely worth reading if you are a fan of her romances.
Caleb in some strange way ends up traveling from the future to our time. The lovely, self sufficient Libby helps him thinking he's a plane wreck victim. The way Caleb reacts to everyday items in this century is funny. I found myself laughing through this story and the ending is great!
Jacob travels through time in search of his brother., Caleb and to bring him home. While Jacob is waiting for his brother to return from a trip with Libby, he slowly begins to fall in love with Libby's sister. Sunny. The ending of this story is better then the first and it will surprise you!
These two story's are reprints combined to one great book. Even if you are not a big time travel reader, if you like Nora Roberts you will not be disappointed.
I am a big Nora Roberts fan, but I still always approach each book objectively, and the bottom line is, this book was highly enjoyable.
Both stories are romantic and quite funny at times. I found myself laughing out loud at Caleb and Jacob's reactions to the twentieth century.
I certainly wouldn't call this novel one of Nora's very best, but it was original and it was lots of fun to read. I did not get bored by it, nor did I find the love scenes too long.
So don't listen to all these critical people, just sit back, relax, and join Libby & Caleb and Sunny & Jacob on their incredible journey through time to find true love.
Excerpt from the back of the book:
"Temptation...it was an orchard away for socialite-turned-camp counselor Eden Carlbough. Orchard owner Chase Elliott was maddeningly attractive, irritatingly self-assured -and strictly hands off! Eden had enough to worry about with a camp full of preteen girls. But her heart knew where her preference lay...with forbidden fruit!"
The back cover reads: "She was a success. Hillary Baxter had been only twenty-one when she left rural Kansas to pursue a New York modeling career. When Bret Bardoff, owner and publisher of fashinable Mode Magazine, offered her a prestigious six-month contract, the sky was the limit. There was only one problem. Hillary fell in love with Brett. But he appeared to be interested only in her glamorous image. Could he learn to love the woman whose face had haunted him from the first instant he had seen her photograph?"
Excerpt from the back of the book:
"Model Hillary Baxter was every photographer's delight! In front of the camera, her perfected loveliness allowed her to be anyone she wanted to be. Yet behind the high-fashion trappings, she was simply a small-town girl-and certainly no match for her new boss, Bret Bardoff! Could he learn to love the woman whose face had captured his imagination...and haunted his dreams?"
Excerpt from inside the book:
"When handsome new owner Taylor Reynolds brought a pocketful of renovation plans for B.J.'s beloved inn and a blueprint for her seduction, the course of true love did not look smooth!"
