A Love Match In The Glitters of Hollywood
Nora Roberts has truly outdone herself in this comtemporary romance about a writer who is chosen to write the biography of a movie goddess.

Robb is #1 in Death
I picked up this book after hearing women on my Janet Evanovich e-list raving about how good this series was. I was leery. I've read Nora Roberts. I don't like her! I was supposed to read something else by her and enjoy it? Oh I don't think so.

I was pleasantly surprised! I found this book to be refreshing in its creativity and characterization. Eve Dallas is a woman to envy. She's witty, intelligent, and she's got a drop dead gorgeous husband.

She is won't let anything keep her from finding out what is going on with murderous victims' displaying "ABSOLUTE PURITY ACHIEVED" on their computer screens. The scum of New York City are dying, but so are the innocents, the by-standers, and cops. Eve has a team of experts working on the computers but can she stay ahead of an organization that may have powerful supporters in all parts of the city?

Once again she does it!!
I must agree with the reviewer with no " real review". She is truly phenomenal.
The In Death series is the best suspense series out there and the trick is the books just keep getting better. You absolutely cannot wait until the next one is published. Ms Robb has the talent to build characters, turns suspense from some simple element, just the right romance and humor all the way through.

In this installment of the In Death series, there is a computer virus going around New York and this is spreading from computer to man. People are dying and they cannot figure out what is causing it and who is behind this.

All the characters are back and some may even be in danger.
An excellent addition to the series and a must read....!

Fantastic read, great premise, gripping emotional story
This is the 15th novel in the Nora Roberts (writing as J. D. Robb) suspense/mystery/crime thriller series about a NYC Homicide Lieutenant, Eve Dallas. Supporting our leading lady is a cast of characters we have come to enjoy, including her billionaire husband, Roarke; her aide, (Ms.) Peabody; a young policeman named Trueheart (honest!); and electronic/computer cop specialists McNab and Feeney. A contemporary premise, that a PC virus could cause a human brain virus, starts things off in a hurry with Trueheart killing a civilian who seemingly has gore berserk and murdered one of his neighbors while raving and ranting about how his head hurts. Eve Dallas takes this call, and soon other deaths in like fashion occur, including one in which a fellow cop is killed from working on an infected PC. Autopsies reveal significant brain swelling from unknown causes. A screen message "Absolute Purity has Been Achieved" leads to the supposition that a vigilante group is behind the killings, as at first their targets are dope dealers and pedophiles, etc. The story follows police efforts to identify and catch the criminals -- but along the way we get doses of differing philosophy about the group and its cause; emotional scenes surrounding the death of the policeman and McNab's disability; glimpses into the politics of modern police departments, and as much suspense as we can handle til the real culprits surface after several mis-directions near the end.

As always, the scene is set ahead in time 50 years, so that video cellphones, personal air vehicles and a few other sci-fi touches enliven the stories without dominating the basic police procedurals. Still, Robb's writing seems at the top her form in this story; we wept several times during various sad and gripping scenes surrounding the deaths and funerals involved with the innocent. We feel this one of the most exceptional stories we have read in several months and have decided to put in on our ten-best in our lifetime list. That says an awful lot for someone who reads a couple of thousand books each decade.

Get it; read it; weep, smile, and enjoy immensely !!

Roman oliday Remake
I have read this book. Ireally enjoyed it, especially the scenario of a member of aroyal family who runs away to America and meets the man/woman of his/her dreams. That's what I call a remake of Roman Holiday. Nora Roberts writes great love stories.

Reviewing Cordinia's Crown Jewel
This book was a very enjoyable trip; lightweight but enjoyable. Real life is so filled with drama that it is a pleasure to be able to relinquish one's grasp on reality and just float into a lovely fantasy world where right always wins, the women are beautiful, the men are handsome, the gardens never have weeds and the pets don't mess up your house. Nora Roberts is a master at creating these environments and Cordinia's Crown Jewel is a sterling example of her art. Some will probably feel it is too lightweight; that's why there's chocolate and vanilla: so thete will be something for everyone. For an ejoyable read that will lift you out of the real world for a while, will give you a chuckle or two and that will eventually leave you smiling and sighing, "yeah, right!", this is a book not to be missed.

Great Read
I loved this book all the way done to the end and I was able to relate to Camilla needing some time to herself and founding out who she is and add in a cute guy to help her out you can't go wrong with that combination. I recommand this book to any Nora Robert's fan

Not Absorbing...
I can't say that I've enjoyed this book tremendously. Somehow this Nora Roberts book is not as good as her others. It has reminded me of Hong Kong movie star, Jackie Chan's movies, where the good guys run away from the bad guys and there were fighting scenes in between.

"Captive Star" tells the story of a bounty hunter, Jack, who has fallen in love for the first time with a lady, M.J., while they were both running away from a bunch of killers. This book is the second of a trilogy. The other two are the stories of M.J.'s best buddies. The three books are linked in a way that the three buddies (M.J., Grace and Bailey) were all running away from the same bunch of bad guys all because of three diamonds that each acquire from Bailey.

I feel that this book has many lose ends, such as M.J. has found Bailey, but what has happened to Grace? I think you have read all three books to find out. For me, I read this one first, so I feel a bit lost. I still don't know what those bad guys want the diamonds for. For non-Nora Roberts fans, maybe you can skip this one. For Nora Roberts fans, I suggest reading the trilogy in order, maybe it'll make more sense this way.

One thing I found refreshing in this book was that the couple would admit inhesitantly to the love they felt for each other even though they had decided that they were in love a wee bit too fast! Love struck in a matter of a couple of days? Maybe it's more lust than love... I believe it is due to the fact that this is a short story.

I strongly recommend "Night Shield". I think it's a better book than "Captive Star".

The Mirtha Star series
Nora Roberts keeps getting better and better with every book I read. This star series is no exception. Each book is connected and "flows" into each other. Very similar to Sea Swept, Inner Harbor and Rising Tides. Like other Roberts trilogies, you MUST read these in order.
Hidden Star about Bailey and Cade then Captive Star about Jack and M.J and finally Secret Star about Grace and Seth. The last book in my opinion is really the best although it's a tie between the second and third books. The passion in each story grows but more than passion is the unbelievable bond between each woman and the men they fall in love with. Not to mention the bond between three friends. Like most Nora Roberts series each story has humor, romance, mystery, sex murder, kidnappings, rescuing, strength and a intellegent theme. Three stars of Mirtha has a mythogical history to it. Wonderful stories I can't say enough. Nora Roberts is a Goddess. Tell everyone you know....and read, read, read.

non stop action
Although this is the 2nd book of the series, I found it better than the first {but that was also good}. For those of you who are "Eve Dallas" fans, as I am, M.J. is alot like her. As for Jack, well lets just say that is a male version. This book gave non-stop action. It gave you every bit of romance, murder, thrills, and quite a few laughs. The relationship with M.J. and Jack is not just romance, but a "I can kick your butt better"; and with that it reminds you of what they are trying to unravel. There is no better match in this series than M.J. and Jack. They can love eachother in one breath and then get to serious fighting the next {sometimes it's with eachother}. I suggest to read the first "Hidden Star" so that you can get the true back ground, even thought Roberts' does a great job of informing you if you haven't read it.

Revisiting Early Books
For a rather late Nora Roberts fan (only the last 4 years or so) it was quite nice to find some of her early works in a reissue. The first story in this book acquaints us with Travis and Dee Grant, parents of Keely from Irish Rebel. I usually make it a point of reading books in their chronological order, so I was kind of miffed when I realized I had read Irish Rebel before this. However, this story was truly wonderful and an excellent example of how timeless Nora Roberts' writing is. The second story in the book, Irish Thoroughbred, was not as great. The relationship between Erin MacKinnon and Burke Logan doesn't really seem to develop, but follows the standard romance novel form of: man of the world sleeps with innocent virgin then decides to marry her but cannot admit his love for her while she desperately wants to feel loved, not just wanted. The story moves quickly, but one is left feeling a little unconnected with the main characters. Overall, the book is certainly worth the buy and is a must for Nora Roberts collectors.

Irish hearts
The book "irish hearts" is a two in one compliation of nora roberts first book "irish thoroughbred" and its predecessor " irish rose". if you like formula romance then you will basically enloy this book. in "irish thoroughbred you are introduce to lonely orphaned adelia "dee" cunnane who after selling her farm in ireland takes up an offer to live with her uncle in america. There she is eager to earn her way and work among the horses as a groom at travis grants royal meadows horse farm. They meet and clash against an array of training horses and horse races they fall in love...un beknowst to the both of them...it is an easy and nice read interesting even if you do not happen to be a fan of horses...strong female character willing to work...not some pampered princess you find in other romances...worth a look...

"irish rose" Erin mckinnon had itchy feet living in ireland the same little town all her life helping the family farm barely break even. keeping books and washing dishes in some hotel, while dreaming of Burke Logan.Burke logan a hard hearted gambling man placed a bet on erin mckinnon a bet he would play out until the end. He made her an offer to move to america and be his own bookkeeper at his horse farm triple aces..he eventually offers her wealth and security in a mock marriage but things take a drastic turn when someone thinks it was about time burke logan got dealt a losing hand the stakes are raised life death love loss ...either way it was a hand with high stakes and only a fool would play afool with the name burke logan....

both stories are good and strong. Adelia and erin are strong female leads, but if these independant women were so independent then why were they coarsed so easily? in the men department i liked travis better then burke, but that was me and i would recommend this book to anyone...

Heart thrilling read
Irish Hearts has all the love a romance novel could need... This was two books in one, Irish thoroughbred and Irish Rose. I only have one complaint, that is both stories had too many simularities. The first stroy line, Irish thoroughbred, was about a woman, Adelia, whom comes to America to be with her uncle after her aunts passes away. Adelias uncle Paddy, works on one of the finest horse ranches in the states, and takes Adelia under his wing. Almost as soon as Adelia arrives she starts falling in love with Travis Grant, the owner of the horse ranch, Royal Meadows. The romance and the way they came together was heart warming and and truly a page turner.

The second book was a continuation of the the first story but this one was called Irish Rose. This one has Adelias cousin Erin McKinnon and Burke Logan added to the story line. Adelias family and neighbor Burke take a trip back to Ireland, and ends up bringing her cousin Erin home with the help of Burke needing assistance back home in the states. But same as the first story the two were in love before you could say when. Not that it made the story bad, and don't get me wrong the two stories were great and the romace was great, but they were very simular. I can say you would be missing out if you didn't read this book. And after you buy this one buy the sequel to Irish Hearts, Irish Rebel.

Two fabulous romance stories - one great family
The Stanislaski Brothers is a book of 2 complete stories; one about Mikhail Stanislaski (Luring a Lady) and the other about Alexi Stanislaski (Convincing Alex). I have to admit I liked Mikhail a little better than Alexi. Something about his story held me more and I felt it more compelling, a little more romantic. That is not to say that I did not enjoy Alexi as well, his is a great story.

Both are great romance stories, every woman's fantasy! Mikhail and Alexi are both fabulous leading men, very different people but each sensitive, caring and loving in their own way. I really like it when Nora Roberts writes about families you can feel as if you are a part of them and get to know everyone - I just love this family, wish I could have met them! I can't wait to read The Stanislaski Sisters!

You will love these brothers!
"The Stanislaski Brothers" tells the stories of Mikhail and Alexi, two strong and passionate Ukrainian men. I absolutely love the Stanislaski family, and these two brothers are no exception. Nora Roberts has once again created a family that all readers will wish they were a part of.
In "Luring a Lady," which is actually the second in the Stanislaski series, Mikhail, a brilliant craftsman, storms into Sydney Hayward's plush office one day, demanding that she pay attention to his run-down apartment building. Ice princess Sydney isn't used to men like Mikhail, but his charm is not wasted on her, and soon the ice around her begins to melt under the heat of their passion!
In "Convincing Alex," the fourth in the series, Alexi mistakenly arrests Bess McNee, a soap opera writer, for solicitation. Bess decides that this sexy detective is just what she needs, both professionally and personally. However, Bess has a history of falling in and out of love, and now that she's taken the tumble for real, she must find a way to show Alex that her love is forever.
Both these brothers' stories will absorb and delight readers. The romances are fresh and fun and all of the characters are wonderfully complex and lovable. I guarantee that you will love this boisterous and passionate family and these two fabulous tales of finding true love!

IMPORTANT READ THIS!!!!
Hey everyone, I love Nora Roberts books,I am a huge fan. Now Both the Stanislaski Brothers and Stanislaski Sisters are great books. But what you should know before you read either one is before you ruin the plots and stories for yourself. Read Taming Natasha-Stanislaski Sisters first then read Luring a Lady-Stanislaski Brothers its about Mikhail then read Falling for Rachel-Stanislaski Sisters then finally read Convincing Alex-Stanislaski Brothers. If you read the entire sister book then the brother book or in reverse you will ruin some key points. It should be in the order i gave above.

The Winning Hand

A great read!
"The Winning Hand" is a highly enjoyable book, and reunites readers with one of Nora Roberts' most beloved families, The MacGregors. This is a quick read, but it still contains well thought out and lovable characters, an interesting storyline and setting, and of course, a wonderfully satisfying visit with some of our favourite characters from previous books.
When Darcy Wallace arrives in Las Vegas, things just aren't going her way. She's down to her last few dollars when she happens upon The Comanche, a huge hotel/casino, and takes her chances on the pull of a slot machine. Suddenly, Darcy finds herself the winner of nearly two million dollars. Mac, son of Serena and Justin from "Playing the Odds", runs the Vegas Comanche, and the innocent Darcy finds this handsome gambler irresistible. Mac can't stop thinking about Darcy either, and berates himself for even thinking about taking advantage of this sweet and lonely fairy of a woman. But their feelings are too strong to deny and Darcy and Mac begin a whirlwind romance.
It is wonderful to watch Darcy grow as a person and gain confidence as the book progresses. She will surely win readers' hearts. We also get to see lots of Serena and Justin, as well as The MacGregor himself!
This book contains an enjoyable, if slightly predictable romance, and characters who all readers will love. It is perfect for curling up by the fire on rainy days or lounging on the beach on sunny ones. I highly recommend this book for those times when you just need to take a break from reality and visit some good friends!

A continuation of the Macgregor family
Fans of Nora Robert's Macgregor series will not be disappointed. This is Mac Blade's story- the son of Serena Macgregor and Justin Blade (don't forget to read their story). Darcy Wallace is a librarian running away from her small town life and marriage to a local bully. She ends up in Vegas- penniless, homeless and like a fairy tale, ends up winning almost 2 million dollars w/ the last of her money.
Darcy is very likable and her naivete in Vegas bring's out the hero's protective instincts- shielding her from the press, her ex-fiance, and people who would take advantage of her new found wealth. It is a predictable love story, but i thought that was the charm- the two characters (esp Mac) struggle through their feelings, their differences and end up together.
It was nice to bring back old favorites -Serena, Justin, and of course, Daniel Macgregor himself. His matchmaking attempts are so funny and the basis of this series. However, even if you have never read any of the Macgregor books- this one can stand alone. Its a must read!

loved this story!!
i started reading "romance" books about a year ago when a friend of mine gave me her old copy of sanctuary...i was hooked and since then, have read about 20 of nora roberts books. at this point, no other romance author interests me. each time i read a book of hers, im taken away by how involved i become in the story and characters. this book was no exception and though it is a short one (which allows me to whip right thru it) it is a great one! i absolutely love "the macgregor" :;smile

Entertaining
This book was actually one of the last book in the MacGregor series in which I read. I found this book to be highly entertaining. Nora Roberts knows how to write stories that touch your heart, and she creates characters that you will never forget. This book establishes Daniel MacGregor as match-maker extraordinaire with his match of Serena and Justin. He makes certain that they cross paths, and of course once they do it's instant attraction. Serena is a strong-willed, independent woman. She knows what she wants and she goes after it. The same qualities are present in her brother Caine. He's confident and charming, and impossible for the weary Diane Blade to resist. These stories are amazing. They are ones you will never forget.

Loving "The MACGREGOR"
I'm a newcomer to Nora Roberts and the MACGREGOR clan. I recently read the MacGregor Grooms, Serena-Caine, and the Perfect Neighbor. I was so engrossed in the story that I just couldn't put it down. I enjoyed everything about the story, how they met, how they almost broke up, I just loved it all.

I would really love to read the MacGregor Brides and Daniel-Alan stories. I felt like I was a part of the MacGregor Clan.

Looking forward to reading more of Nora Roberts stories.

Thank you Nora for writing such wonderful tales of romance.

WONDERFUL! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THE MACGREGORS!
Nora Roberts has done it again. This time around we go back in time and get to know the love story of Justin and Serena Blade and Caine and Diana MacGregor. Talk about fantastic! I fell in love with them just as easily as I fell in love with their children in "The MacGregor Brides" and "The MacGregor Grooms". No wonder their kids turned out so great! My personal favorite out of the two in one, was Caine and Diana's story. Man, what a great book. You'll love it. I can't wait til the next installment of the clan comes out, "The MacGregors, Alan and Grant". I've already ordered it even though it hasn't yet been released. I can't wait! Also soon to be released is "The Perfect Neighbor" which goes into the Campbell family and "The MacGregors, Daniel and Ian" which includes probably the most important story of all that of Daniel and Anna MacGregor, the heads of the clan. Nora must want to kill me with the anticipation. Trust me, you'll love the MacGregors!

First class book on third generation Stanislaski
Considering Kate is a tale of the Natasha Stanislaski and Spencer Kimball's youngest child and her story reminds me of the way her parents met -- in her mum's toy store, with the hero buying a gift for his child. Brody is a sensitive guy with a young son to raise. Jack is precocious and is Brody's weak spot whom he's extremely protective of (don't you just love that in a man). Anyway, to cut a long story short, Kate hired Brody to renovate the building she bought to start her ballet school, and falls for him in the process. Kate makes most of the moves as Brody is afraid of being in another relationship after his wife died. The scene about her confronting him on whether they are in fact "dating" or not is hilarious. I've always enjoyed reading about a yelling session and this is a particularly good one with an even better ending. It's good to revisit the characters from Nora Roberts' previous novels on the Stanislaski family although Considering Kate works perfectly well as a stand-alone. I hope there will be a story on Brandon, Kate's older brother who is a ball player next!

How Great To Meet Up With The Stanislaski Family!!
Considering Kate is a follow up from the Stanislaski series that Nora Roberts wrote a few years back (but is now re-released). Kate Kimball, the daughter of Natasha and Spencer (from Taming Natasha), is a ballet dancer, who has come home to open a dance school. Brody O'Connell is the contractor who fixes up the building for Kate's school. Kate and Brody automatically hit it off, but Brody is leary of a relationship because he is a widow with a 6 year old son, Jack, to take care of. Kate is flirtatious and pushes Brody to take her out, Brody on the other hand is trying to resist her, although he wants her. In Considering Kate all the characters are winners. You will fall head over heels for little Jack, not too mention the rest of the family. Considering Kate is a great read, and a great follow up. I really got into the whole family and at times found myself laughing and tearing up, which I think a good book should make a person do!

Considering Kate by Nora Roberts
This is a great book. I could not put it down once I started reading it. It is about a woman who gives up her ballet to become a ballet teacher to children. Kate falls for the construction worker who helps build her dance studio. I would reccomend this book to all.

A Suspenseful, Satisfying Read
"Brazen Virtue" is a great romantic suspense novel, written in true Nora Roberts style.
Grace is a successful murder mystery author who is looking for some peace and quiet after a stressful book tour. When Grace discovers that her usually straight-edge sister Kathleen is earning extra money as a phone sex operator she is concerned. But because of the company's strict anonymity policy, she figures that Kathleen will be perfectly safe. Unfortunately, she couldn't be more wrong, as she returns home one night to find her sister strangled with the phone cord. It seems as though Grace has walked right into one of her books, only this time she is the dazed survivor.
Detective Ed Jackson, Grace's new neighbour is assigned to the case. But he is having trouble concentrating on anything but his attraction to Grace and his desire to keep her safe. Grace is determined to avenge her sister's death, so she sets up a daring trap to lure the killer to her. Ed doesn't like the idea one bit, and is concerned for this feisty woman he has fallen in love with.
But neither Grace nor Ed knows that Grace's trap has already worked and that this brilliant madman has turned his obsession to her. As the killer closes in it will be up to Ed to put things together and get to Grace in time to save her life!
This is a thrilling and fast-paced read with a lovely romance added to the mix. Grace and Ed will charm readers with their endearing quirks and mannerisms. This is a follow-up to "Sacred Sins" although it can easily stand alone (I read this one first and had no trouble following). This is a wonderfully entertaining book and I have no doubt that you will enjoy it!

Brazen Virtue deserves a gold metal
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! I went through it in about 4 days. This is the fourth Nora Roberts book I've read (the other ones were the Three Sisters Island Trilogy) and I've enjoyed them all! Lots of mystery, tons of suspense. Keeps you guessing and on your toes thinking and trying to figure out "whodoneit".

This virtue truly is brazen!
I truly enjoyed this book! The story is touching because there is a little "sisterhood" in the beginning. Anyone who has a sister and who is a sister should read this book. If I say anymore, I will give you the rest of the book and you will not read for your self. Enjoy!
