A metaphysical classic.
The late Max Freedom Long was a courageous and open-minded scholar of esoterica, and a recognized expert on Huna, the aboriginal spiritual tradition of Polynesia. In this book, he explains the truth of the teachings of Jesus, which have been obscured through centuries of false interpretations. By meticulously researching ancient texts, he correlates what he calls a code, used throughout ancient times to hide the deeper meanings of spiritual truth. This information casts a new light on the mysteries of Christianity and Judaism. An important work, and a good read, too.
Healing insights.
I would suggest this book to anyone desiring a deeper understanding of their own spirituality even though it was written primarily with "Christians" in mind.
Max Freedom Long's interpretation of the 4 Gospels using the code language of Huna, literally brings new life possibilities to the reader. In fact, I think this writing presents an extraordinary opportunity for personal healing, particularly for those of us who may have been traumatized in our youth by the infliction on us of the "outer" biblical meanings by "well meaning", "God fearing" adults.
Understanding this book may be facilitated by first reading "The Huna Code in Religions" by Max Freedom Long.

Journalism of the Highest Order
After years of working with his father, who worked for Burgmaster for 29 years, Max Holland wrote an thouroughly researched book on the American industrial enterprise. It also explains the political value of the American industry and how Americans always attempt to keep out their competitors in new ways. I myself, being Max Holland's nephew, have talked with him many times about the issues of the book.Learning from his father and countless research books, Max Holland writes one of the most down-to-earth books on the American industrial enterprise ever.
when the machine stopped
This book gives a wonderful view of the changes in American machine tool industry. Tells the story of a retired shoe salesmen who moves to cal. and starts a machine tool business. Machines were his hobby but soon becomes involved in making inovative machine of his own design. The machine where the standard of the Industry. The factory at one time covered two blocks in Cal. The company became the target of buyout by a comgloorate and the new owners were only interested in sales and not quality. At the same time imports were improving all the time. He left the company and it went done fast. Today the older machines still fetch good prices.

Good for everyone
It's not just a history or war book for those readers who are interesting in WWII. A good reference of psychology and philosophy about death, hope, and future. I'm sure that u will find some value-change in life after read. As the writer, Max said, everyone are losers in the war. Compare with what he was facing at that time, are we living too comfort now? This is a real story of a German Soldier, real place, real people, real time and real blood. I can't stop reading since I started. Bore have never found in this book. I sorry about that Max can't provide the last part of his adventure in 1942-1945, those memories had gone along with him at 1990.
Will We See Tomorrow
This is one of the best WWII German autobiographies i have come across. It describes young soldiers adventures from boot camp to last days of Russian offensive, including action, humor and tragedy throughout the whole book. Defenitly worth a read as it includes an insight from a German cavlary soldier during WWII, describes the progress of the Russian campaign accuratly and keeps the reader in suspence from the cover to cover.

Another Great Story By Max Lucado
Max Lucado writes amazing stories for children and this one is no different. Through out the whole story you learn more about God and how He can and will be with you all the way throughout life's journeys. Every time i open one of his books I learn so much. Mr. Lucado's books especially poin out good Christian teachings in ways that children can understand the best. I can't wait until I read the rest of the book like this one. I read this book in about 5 minutes and I loved it. The story is a simple one but an amazing one. I grew up in church and the moral of this is one tha tI have heard many times already. Thsi story put it into different words that I know my children will love as much as I did. Each prince is given the chance to marry the king's daugher but first they must make it through the forest. No one has even entered the forset and then left it. THe king's special glute will guide them. If they loose site if it they will be lost. How do they make it though? Which one will make it first? Who will be thir one companion? So many questions. Read the book it is a childrens book made for all ages. Enjoy the lessons hidden within
A quest worth the trip
Three princes are given the same challenge: Be the first to travel through the woods and arrive at the king's castle. The winner may marry the king's daughter. No one who has entered the woods has ever come back. Each may choose a traveling companion. Each has the promise of hearing the king's flute three times a day to help guide him. But only one will find out who will be with him all the way. This book captured the imaginations of all the boys in my class.

THE THIRD TIMES THE CHARM
I FINALLY GOT THIS 128 PAGE PAPERBACK BOOK, WHICH WAS PRINTED IN 1968. IT WAS WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT. I GOT THE IDEA TO SEARCH OUT THIS BOOK WHEN I SAW IT MENTIONED IN THE CREDITS OF THE RECENTLY RERELEASED VIDEO OF THE SAME NAME. THE PAGES ARE FULL OF IMAGES TAKEN STRAIGHT FROM THE MOVIE IN ALL ITS GLORIOUS COLOR. THEY'RE ALL HERE... THE BEATLES, OLD FRED, JEREMY, MAX, THE BLUE MEANIES, THE APPLE BONKERS, THE SNAPPING TURTLE TURKS, THE BUTTERFLY STOMPER, THE HIDDEN PERSUADERS, THE FLYING GLOVE, AND, OF COURSE, THE YELLOW SUBMARINE ITSELF. WHILE THIS BOOK DOESN'T REALLY ADD ANYTHING TO THE STORY, IT'S GOOD TO HAVE THIS AS A VISUAL REFERENCE AND MAKES A GREAT BEDTIME STORYBOOK. AMAZON.COM'S OUT OF PRINT BOOK SEARCH DOES IT AGAIN !
For Yellow Submarine fans, a book well worth searching for.
Although any copy of this paperback you find will be invariably over 20 years old, it is well worth having. The book is 128 pages long, and every page displays full color pictures culled directly from the film itself. It is a brief re-telling of the movie plot, and includes images of every major character in the animated film. At the end of the book are a few fun items and also one live picture of the Beatles themselves.

A lift-the-flap book featuring a traffic jam of big rigs
One hundred and one trucks are on the move in this lift-the-flap book featuring a traffic jam of big rigs filled with 101 movie-making props, costumes and other tools of the film trade. "Gigantic cranes, a stunt-performing plane, windows and drapes, boots and capes, a variety of trees, performing fleas..." The list goes on and on as tots peek inside 101 trucks carrying rhyming loads on five two-page spreads. Even by the final page ("Rollin' in...Looking good...the stars are out...Hollywood!"), little ones will won't likely understand the common thread uniting all the odd contents, but what does that really matter? The fun is in the rhythm, rhymes and hands-on discovery, and the intrinsic charm of a toddler lift-the-flap book that shift gears to avoid wallowing in standard cutsey-wootsey tactics. Keep on truckin'!

clear,concise,practical
I very much enjoyed this book. It is well organized, clearly and simply written and serves as a springboard for further inquiry if you are so inclined. Anders takes each area of Concern, explains and reveals christian principals ina light and anecdotal manner, gives your scriptural references and additional bibliography. You can get to the meat of the matter quickly, but if so inspired, he points you in the direction of further detail. I would say everyone out there would benefit from reading this book Christian or not. I find he reminds me very much of Norman Vincent Peale in his approach. GOOD READ!
