Just in time!
This book came in the nick of time. Sometimes I thought I knew what was going on in the market, but I didn't understand why. Other times I was clueless. I gained practical insight into how to approach investments, including a better understanding of the whys behind investment decisions.

Invest Beyond Boundaries
Victoria Collins' latest book is for the investor needing crucial information about the high-tech market. Because of the global economy this book is relevant for the present as well as the future. Collins has indeed created a valuable guide.

A must-read for serious online investors...
This book is so Victoria Collins! It adds yet another precious new-comer to my books of online wisdom. Reading though the pages tells more and more about the real world of online business. How the Internet has changed things forever. It's just like listening to a preacher who only talks about wise things. There is always another side in the day-to-day life of e-businessmen, and in the today's media, unfortunately we are only told about the up-side. Victoria so passionately tells us about where and when caution is as important as ambition. How to weigh factors in the winds on change. Why there are more to the Internet business than what's already there. And last but not the least, how it can be really the best tool a businessman could ever wish for if he only knew how to work it out.

You can feel a warm voice whispering in the screaming world of the Web. Holding the map to an uncharted territory. Showing us the way in the mid of shear forces pushing us back and forth, left and right. When you'll read Invest Beyond.com, you can easily tell the person who wrote this book is equipped with so much knowledge, expertise and courage to talk about what's beyond this still-mysterious phenomena to most of people. As if she has this overview that we are all missing. Above doubts and speculations. Enter the reality of living online every single day. Sail to the other shore confidently and wisely. It takes a thousand words to draw one picture, and it takes many years and effort to picture those scenes of the "Internet back-stage" - if you like! Easy plain language, suitable for highly professional people the same way as to others. If you are about to invest some money on your Internet gear, don't miss Invest Beyond.com, the book. It would prove that it's beyond it's value.

my favorite victoria holt book!
a girl marries. she soon frinds herself a widow with a baby on the way. the heir to a fortune. some one is trying to put her in a nut house but her lover saves her. my favorite quote from the book " he lend over me and looked at the baby and said there's only one thing wrong he's not mine, that was his praposil for marrage" the 8th victoria holt book i read.

It's my favorite Victoria Holt novel
I first read this novel when I was in junior high school. It was the second novel I read by Victoria Holt, but it was the first one that made me want to read more of her books with enthusiasm. It was very hard to put down this book after the first chapter. The suspense kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen next. Victoria Holt is a great romantic-suspense author and it's really sad that she's no longer around to write more books. And I'm even more disappointed that "Kirkland Revels" is no longer in print. My copy of the book was borrowed and I never got it back. I don't even remember who borrowed it. It was back in the 1970s. So now all I have are fond memories of the book and the story. I wish the publisher would print this book again (hardbound). I need this book to add to my collection of Victoria Holt novels.

One of my favorites
This is the first nowel of Victoria Holt I read, since then she is one of my favorite writers. If you want to read some books by her, Kirkland Revels is a good choice for begining.

The Living Principal: Looking and Feeling Your Best At Ever
I enjoyed reading this book. She had many rich and valueable words of encouragement to say concerning the beauty and value of a woman who has reached the years of 40 and beyond. She talks of the inner beauty that we have and how to tap into this to cause the outer appearances to glow with contentment and peace. She also addresses the outer appearances as well. She explains the care of our skin, hair, body in general as we mature. Victoria tells us with good care of the body, spirit and mind the body will age much more graciously. I found her words intellegent and down to earth. I read her book within days and have already passed it onto a dear friend who also asks many of the same questions the book tries to answer. One chapter, written by her husband who is a Dr., covers all the questions we have about plastic surgery. That was informative.

Living Life to the Fullest
Victoria's book is a great read. Truly inspiring for all ages, from taking care of yourself from the inside/out to the best beauty tips and showing us how important the mind & body connection is. Great diets, numerous recipes, skin care, dental care, hair care, and exercise, to an indepth guide on plastic surgery, vitamins, hormones and connecting to our inner self. Victoria's book covers it all. I must add if you aren't already using the "Principal Secret" skincare products, you don't know what you're missing.

In one word "Extraordinary".

I have all Victoria's previous books - "The Living Principal" is #1 above all other health and beauty books on the market.

Thank you Victoria!!

Perfect for Mother's Day!
For all of us who work, shop, cook, clean, tend to the needs of husbands, kids, friends, and parents, this is the "cure" I've been looking for -- practical tips for taking care of ourselves in the process. A lifesaver. I'm giving it to all my women friends for mother's day. I feel ten years younger (I'm 45 in actual years) just reading it! p.s. my husband still has a crush on Victoria ever since Dallas.

A Child's Delight!
The book is lovely and contains ideas and recipes for sharing a tea party with your special little girl...even a darling miniature tea set is included!

It's Time for Tea! ^.^
A marvelous thank you to Susan Wheeler and Mr. Kortepeter for their beautiful work in creating this book. Wonderful artwork with that adorable Victorian setting, delightful recipes for teatime and useful tips for tea parties. Highly reccommendable for all tea lovers.

Sipping and Reading
Like most people, I was drawn to this book because of the artwork. And while the drawings are first-rate throughout, it was the writing that really got me hooked. From the seasonal stories to the recipes to the Holly Pond Hill Gazette entries, this book is a delightful potpourri of words. My hat's off to Paul Kortepeter for his inventiveness and to Susan Wheeler for her vision. I can't wait for the next book! Ciao.

A must-buy
This is one of the very best children's books I have found. It was recommended by a book store after I asked for rhyming books for my then 3 year old. 3 years later we are STILL reading it, have read it to all his school classes, recommended it to friends, and it's a big favourite.
Great for vocabulary-building, funny, and wonderful illustrations.

At last!
I found this book a number of years ago in a remainder bookstore in Britain. My three year old daughter loved it and, what also counts for a lot, I loved reading it to her as well. Wonderful ideas and beautifully written. I lost the book in a house move and am over the moon to have found a copy again.

This is a hilarious book, very fun to read, wonderful rhymes
This is one of the best children's books I have ever read. My 4 1/2 year old and I laughed out loud reading it. It is lots of fun to read with alliterative rhymes and cute pictures as well as a very funny story. This is a great children's book!

Tells of a watershed event, now almost forgotten.
Few of us will ever forget the events of September 11, where we were, how the nation reacted. Tony Rennell tells us of another earthshattering event, for its time, the death of Queen Victoria.

Beginning a few days before the Queen's death, Rennell proceeds slowly through her final illness, providing enough background to satisfy us without boring us. After the Queen passes, he gives us ample reaction to the death, even printing (rather pompous by today's standards) poems and songs written at the time (interesting to compare them with the songs written after September 11). He brings us through the funeral and burial at Windsor.

Rennell tells us what was not widely known before--that Victoria was buried holding a picture of John Brown and a locket with his hair, and wearing a ring he had given her. He is careful to put this in the proper context, devoting an appendix to setting forth his view that Brown and the Queen had an entirely proper, though unconventional, relationship.

Rennell puts the event in historical perspective--the conflict between those who wanted a "proper" amount of mourning, and those who wanted to move on quickly, reopen the theaters, put off mourning dress. I wonder how long it has been since the general public wore mourning for a monarch, and if there will be any expectation that it be done next time. Yet in 1901, the period of public mourning was shortened to "only" six weeks!

This book was published before 9/11, but I wonder, if, in 2101, a similar book will be published to remind the public of our watershed event.

Well worth reading.

A very informative book
I was going to say "enjoyable and informative", but then thought that saying reading about someone dying was enjoyable wasn't quite right. However, the author has given us so much background and detail on what was going on in England at this time that I will say those parts were enjoyable!

It seems unbelievable that the government apparently had not done much advance planning. It's as if no one thought the Queen was going to die. I was reminded of the smooth operation of the Queen Mother's funeral in April where everything went like clockwork. Queen Victoria had given a few orders for her funeral, but the details were left to others with the usual squabbling.

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the British Royal family.

Death of Queen Victoria
This book covers, and covers quite well, the events surrounding the death of Queen Victoria in 1901. It's especially relevant now that the "Queen Mum" has passed away, for she was more than likely alive when Victoria died, the last connection in the British royal family to that era of pomp and circumstance. It's very interesting to see how death and services for royals were handled 100 years ago, when there were many more monarchies and the almost reverential attitude towards them had not been soured by WWI.
Victoria was beloved by her people, and almost all of them could not remember another reigning monarch, since she ruled for 64 years, almost a lifetime in those days. There was genuine grief and fear at her departure, and a worry at the changing world everyone would face in her absence. A few years ago I read the book "Farewell In Splendor", which covers the same sets of facts, and both of these works are well worth reading. You will learn many things you didn't know about the end of the Victorian age, and perhaps have an air of nostalgia for what appears to be a quite different, and perhaps better, past.

Good, but.
Before moving to Maine a few months ago, we read Doudera's book and found it to be a good overview with some detail about moving to Maine. We're still, however, encountering some surprises from time to time that we wish we had known about. In some ways, moving to Maine from the big cityis like moving to another planet--there are so many things that we've never seen before (e.g., carpenter ants) and so many customs that we've yet to understand. Additional practical daily living advice and explanation would have been helpful in this book--but maybe that would have spoiled the joy of slowly coming to know the place for ourselves.

I Loved this Book!!
I loved this Book it has changed my life. Now that I have moved to maine I can really enjoy myself.

This Is It
If you're looking for a book about Maine - this is it. Victoria Doudera has included everything you could want to know about moving to, living in and enjoying this great state. I sent this book to some friends who are contemplating a move here. They called me and raved, saying that Moving To Maine answered all of their questions - and they were having fun reading with their family. Well-written and organized, FULL of information, I plan to keep a copy on hand for our own reference and enjoyment.

I enjoyed this book
This book was such a joy. I'm an Anglophile and I have an old house that I use as a bed and breakfast so I enjoyed the circumstances but what moved me the most was the trials that women of an age feel. They are not usually the subject of novels and this one with it's warmth and heart touched me deeply.

I Hate Finishing Ms. Clayton's Books!
I have now read, I believe, all of Victoria Claytons books. The latest one was Running Wild which was every bit as good if not better than the earlier ones (well, perhaps Past Mischief is still my favourite - but only just). Once again I can only say that I hope Ms. Clayton is writing another book - we (my friends, my mom and I) are all waiting!! Many thanks and congratulations on another MASTERPIECE! Such fun to read. Regards, sonja falkenberg (Toronto, Canada).

Really Terrific Book - I couldn't put it down
I can't say enough good things about this book - I sat up until 3 am today to finish it. I guess the traditional elements of a romance are here, but the book seems just so much more than that. It starts with the death of Miranda's chronically unfaithful husband - and proceeds to show how the life and death of this selfish, ugly man(soul-wise, not physically) is like a pebble in a pool - the ripples of effect go on forever. There's pain and humor, and not all of the ends are neatly tied up - just the ones that matter the most to you at the end. The subplots and supporting characters are superb - wonderful book!..

cost-effective exploration of faux stone techniques
This book consolidates the information from a number of her videos... and is a cost-effective way to explore these techniques. And you don't have to watch Ms. Hughes roll her eyes and practice alternative pronunciation of words in an attempt at humor. Her alternative vocabulary takes a bit of getting used to but once you figure out what she's referring to, there is quite a bit of great info in this book. Thanks, Ms. Hughes, for this alternative!...

Great Technique Illustration
I have gotten frustrated by books that only show a person how to make product "X". This book teaches the reader several techniques and how to apply them. From the beginning of the book the reader is encouraged to consider the creative process and experiment with their own techniques and designs. While you are learning specific techniques, Tori Hughes also points out that changes in color and style will also work well. Through this she is teaching the reader, not just showing them how to do a project. That alone makes this book a valuable asset to a book shelf. I highly recommend this book.

This Book Humbles Polymer into Natural Basics
I am new to polymer clay and have never taken classes, or even heard of this author prior to the purchase of this book. May be on my way to an addict. I have gotten a pasta maker. So provided you are into things that far, I think even beginners with a reasonable amount of intelligence can deal with this book. The author is very specific in explaining how to imitate different natural mediums with polymer clays (some premo, some fimo, some combinations of the 2). I don't have a great deal of inventory of clay, but was able to emulate most of the techniques, represented with what I had - even if the colors were off a bit. I have gotten a couple other books, and polymer can really get outrageous, complicated, time consuming, and just plain dissapointing when the end result is not perfect enough. This book seems to take things slow and specifically enough to follow and enjoy. And, the nice thing about simulating stones, and natural things is that they are inherently defective, cracked, uneven, and irregular. Even when you mess something up a bit, it can look like it was done on purpose. For the price, I considered this book a good buy for my money.

The Sacred Awakening of Light Warriors

A gift to the planet
As I read 'The Sacred Awakening of Light Warriors', a lot of things started to make sense. Suddenly I understood the loneliness and disconnection that I had felt all my life; the aloneness was actually an illusion, but an experience which was essential in order to know the pain of humanity. In their teachings, The Counsel of Light gently remind us that it is necessary to know this pain so that we may fulfill our world task, a task unique for each one of us and yet always related to the healing of ourselves, one another and the Earth.

The lesson which I found to be most insightful is that on 'The Gifts of The Seven Sacred Awakenings'. This gives an overview of the spiritual journey from the first faint rememberance that we are all here with a purpose, to the knowing that we are already enlightened beings, radiating love, connected to all that is and embodying this truth in every moment. It has been a source of guidance to be able to recognise as I experience the early stages of awakening in myself.

The lessons in this book resonate as profound truths and I sense that this text will play a vital role in the expansion of conscious awareness which is happening on the planet right now.

Inspiring and comforting at the same time
In a world where the constant message is that you're alone and isolated; that there's no hope; it's wonderful to be reminded that there is a purpose to your life - to all life.

A book for awakening your soul
I have read the book several times and every time I receive a different and even deeper message. The book is very simply written with very simple examples but very profound and enlightening. It is very inspiring and gave me the hope that I was not alone, I was looked after and there is a bigger plan. The energy of the author and the counsel of light comes through the book and fills you with love and light. This is a book with a message for everyone.
For anyone interested in understanding their purpose and walking the spiritual path, this book is a must. It gives courage to those who are scared to take that first step and is a wonderful guide.
