Memorable, Incredible
It was the best Disney book I have ever read. I am a Disney fanatic, and would have wished so much, to meet Walt Disney, even though he is frozen at the moment. I loved this book, because it was so heartwarming to me, and it reminds me of everyday life...I mean the story. You never know what is going to happen next. Something dangerous, something funny, or something romantic? I guess it was so special, because my life is exactly like the ones of Kovu and Kiara. The writers must have put a lot of time and thinking for this story. I wish the best. Thanks!

Wonderfull pictures, very in-depth
I am a Lion King freak, and so have collected many children's books. I often am disapointed that the drawings barely resemble the actuall characters. This book is not a disapointment, the pictures are wonderfull, and I flip through it again and again. It also goes very in depth with the story, readers with a short attention span may get bored with the long text.

An innocent girl on trial for murder
The story takes place in post-Victorian Edinburgh. A bankers daughter begins (too late) to notice all is not perfect in her perfect household. Her mother dies. Her governess is let go under mysterious circumstances. And a bawdy new governess moves in to take her friend and her mothers place---and all other things. Her father is discovered dead from arsenic poisoning---and she is accused of murdering him. I was surprised at the end---I felt sure I knew who had killed the girls father----but I'm not good at guessing, I guess.
The characters are pretty well thought out---theres a voyage to South Africa and the terrain is detailed. But the most standout of this book is the main characters illusions that the perfect way of life can go on uninterrupted. She certainly left one snare of serpents for another, too. Very well written and interesting.

Another Great from Victoria Holt
Victoria Holt once again sweeps her readers into the life of another heroine, Davina. Through the audio version it almost sounds as if Davina might be telling you her story yourself. She is suspected of murder in Scotland but it can't be proven so she goes to South Africa to escape gossip but the nightmare continues there until in the end everything turns out all right and she ends up with the man of her dreams.

The best book on Loving Sex
The best book on sexual lovemaking in a commited intimate love relationship. Easily beats out great books like John Gray's Mars and Venus in the Bedroom, or Charles and Caroline Muir's Tantra: The Art of Concious Loving. Adds a depth of wisdom, spirituality, practicality, and insight into men and women's sexual needs and their loving satisfaction that is missing from other books on sex. Its an easy to read book that has a lot of practical real life examples on how couples can better communicate and act to solve common sexual problems and use sacred sex to build a passionate, intimate, love relationship.

An outstanding book that shows how to have lifelong passion!
Soulful Sex is an unusual and heart-opening book. The author is a psychologist and sex therapist who uses stories from her practice to show us how we can become more joyful and passionate about sex. She explains what every man should know if he wants an eager, exciting partner!

Spider Kane -- The Best Book on Earth
This book was very good. It was very interesting. There was always a question in the beginning or middle of the book, but at the end all the questions are answered. My mom got it for me because I liked the Magic Treehouse books so much. I didn't think I was interested till my mother bought it for me but when I started reading it was great. The whole book is about bugs! Everyone in the book is a bug, except Spider Kane, who you can guess is a spider.

Spider Kane Rules
I thought this was going to be just another book that my mom and I would read for school but this turned out to be the best book I ever read sending me on a quest for any other spider Kane books. Spider Kane and his band of the MOTH are the coolest bugs ever tracking missing gold and going under cover to help other bugs. I loved the mystry! I loved the suspence I just loved this book. Spider Kane can do anything he is awesome. I wish there were more books to read about him. I couldn't put this book down we read it in 5 days then I lent it out to my friends. Then I read Under the May Apple Tree and I need more, my mom says Mary Pope Osborn is a genius because this is my summer vacation and I'm begging to read this series.

A True Treasure
An excellent compilation of biography, antecdotes, and sermons. This book is a delight to read, and keeps alive our beloved friend, neighbor and pastor. The pictures are a treasure in and of themselves. Definitely a must-have.

A Touching Rememberance & a "must have" for any pastor
This is an outstanding chronicle in word and image of one of the great pastors of the 20th Century. It includes pictures and personal reflections of many friends as well as a number of his sermons. I was touched deeply to read of his commitment to and love of the people of his congregations. While other pastors of "mega-ministries" seem more interested in promoting their own celebrity, Dr. Harrington wanted only to promote the Gospel. He is a true hero.

Just what the dream doctor ordered!
I have read many books on business plan writing, marketing, selling and the like and have had many years to experiment with how to take business ideas and make them flesh, never an easy thing to do. I wish I could tell you that I've made a million dollars already, but I am sure that plenty of other future millionaires will indeed get their first sound and sage advice from this well written, well thought out and thorough book. Accessible, flexible and never condescending, this book doesn't miss a trick, exception to the rule or forget that a pleasurable and meaningful life is probably the greatest success of all. A very well rounded resource. Great for the novice or experienced entrepreneur considering the next growth stages. If you want to build your own business, whether a man or a woman by the way, you should buy this book.

Worth Every Penny
Someone once told me, "It's not what we do in life that we regret, it's what we don't do." This book will get you going on starting the business of your dreams. The author has clearly gone the extra mile; that she once wrote for the New York Times is very evident in this book. There isn't a piece of advice about starting or running your own business that is missing. I had attended community seminars, met with many local business people, run from small business workshop to the library and back again--and could have saved all that leg work and a lot of time if only this book had come out sooner! I found all the information I needed in this one extremely well-written book. I loved the use of quotes and the worthwhile and well-chosen anecdotes from women who have had real life experiences starting their own businesses. The book includes information and a great glossary of websites for obtaining free publicity (very important), as well as understandable information on financial management--which I admit I hate, I'm the creative type--but it is SO important. Also how to hire and fire staff, something few entrepreneurs know much about. Marketing, retailing, wholesale, tradeshow tips, mail order, great website information and e-business tips. It's truly all there in this book, which I put on my list of "worth every penny." True to Victoria Magazine, it is visually very pleasing to the eye as well--something women will appreciate.

great book!
We had some parties over the holidays and this book was a key resource for pulling out some creative, interesting dishes that everyone loved. Mushroom pate was a particular hit. The flavors are interesting but not weird, variety throughput the book is great. Most of our friends are meat eaters so it was fun to do an hor d'oeurve party where no one missed the meats. Highly recommended! It made it easier for me to enjoy the holidays! Great resource.

Packed with creative approaches
Packed with creative approaches to the enhancement of fresh foods, Vegetarian Appetizers is a sampler of gourmet, internationally influenced, sophisticated, yet simple appetizers that are designed to appeal to inclusive palates (vegans, vegetarians, and others). Divided into five chapters, the 144-page hardback covers Appetizer Basics, Light Bites, Mezzo Bites, Sizable Bites, and Sweet Bites, plus Paulette's tips and an appendix for vegan recipes. Most of the 70 plus recipes take just one page, and there are many accompanying color photographs to illustrate the presentation.

Experienced teacher/author/T.V. host Mitchell takes the intimidation out of such taste experiences as Caramelized-Onion Fritatta With Chimichurri Sauce, combining Italian and Argentinean flavors, or Yam Croquettes With Tangerine-Sherry Sauce, or Five-Spice Diced Vegetables in Endive Leaves with Plum Sauce, or the cover feature, East Indian inspired Cumin Scented Potatoes in Filo Cups.

Sprinkled throughout the recipes are invaluable tips for flavorful shortcuts, such as in the referral to Penzeys Spices for making Lebne with Zaatar, a middle eastern herbed yogurt cheese. From the simple, such as Guacamole, to the exotic, such as Quail Eggs With Olivada, to the challenging, for example Vegetable Pates with Creamy Horseradish Sauce, Vegetarian Appetizers packs a punch you and your guests won't forget to appreciate.

One of the Best Biographies
This is a superb biography for anyone interested in Queen Victoria's children; 19th century German royalty, or anyone just looking for an excellent book. In so many ways, Vicky's life was tragic, but she was one remarkable person! Daphne Bennett is an excellent writer with real sympathy for her subject. This is one of my favorite biographies. I first read a library copy when I was 15 (so many years ago) and I never forgot it; thanks to Amazon I now own a copy.

This is a great biography of the Empress Frederick.
Vicky: Princess Royal of England and German Empress is the best biography of the Empress Fredderick that I have read so far. Daphne Bennett is sympathetic to and interested in her subject. She set out to learn why the earlier biographical accounts of the character of the Empress Frederick differ so widely from her character as shown in her published letters. She points out that the Empress Frederick was a woman ahead of her time.

Julie at her best!
Remember that great movies from the 80's? Well, Victor/Victoria is back! With new songs added and Julie Andrews in the lead again the CD can't miss. However, the vocal score can impress by giving a great splash of the songs. A little bit of everything- but a lot of fun!

Victoria, what a Victor you are!
I think this book is wonderful, as far as vocal selections go. Every song brings back memories of the Broadway production and movie "Victor/Victoria", both with Dame Julie Andrews. My personal favorite, "Crazy World", can still bring a tear to my eye. It's worth buying-it'll bring much enjoyment. And many fond mem'ries.
