More Than Just Light, the Rainbow of Health
John Nash Ott in his breakthrough book warns of the dangers of the overuse and under-regulation of modern electromagnetic technology. He also discusses the negative effects of digital watches, certain man made fibers such as polyester and vinyl, ionizing-type smoke detectors, certain types of fluorescent lighting, video display terminals, electronic fetal monitoring equipment in hospitals, and other high technology items. The book has easy-to-do demonstrations showing the relationship of colored lighting and the positive and negative effects that it can create. He links light, color and health.

great for the man who may be looking for answers
a great book for the man who is looking for answers as to his role in todays family. based on principals far more solid than the ever-changing views of mainstream thought, it provides direction and areas of focus for men that will build not only themselves but their family. with the included work book it can be used for even deeper study and will continue to direct the search. i believe this is a book that every searching man should have in his library to be read many times over. if you are not interested in improving yourself as a father and husband find another book.

The despair and pain of slavery.
A powerful contribution on the real history of slavery. It written in away which explain slavery as a historical development of civilisation. The photos and pictures are excellent and you feel the despair and pain of slavery. It also concludes that slavery still exsists which is important because it is still a unresolved issue today. The book represents a intellectual change and a critical outlook of present day problems. This book should be in every school, thankyou.

Pretty Helpful
I used this as one of my references for a course in Jewish Studies. It was very helpful for a basic overview of some Near Eastern thought patterns.

The Jesse James Northfield Raid : Confessions of the Ninth Man

Solid account of a disastrous raid
John Koblas's account of the 1876 raid upon Northfield, Minnesota, by the notorious James-Younger Gang (in which the town citizens basically shot the famous outlaws to pieces) is detailed and convincing (although not quite equal to Koblas's later "Faithful Unto Death"). The mystery presented of a possible "ninth man" in the raid (standard accounts name only eight bandits) is never solved, nor can it probably ever be. In the 1930's an elderly man living in Los Angeles claimed to be Bill Stiles, one of the outlaws supposedly killed at Northfield. This Los Angeles Stiles claimed there had been a case of mistaken identity and that the "Stiles" killed was another man altogether. This 20th Century Stiles' story, related by a pulp fiction author of the time, contains many unlikely elements, but John Koblas does present some supporting evidence which could point to Stiles being genuine. In addition, the participation of possibly one or two other men in the raid is discussed. Ultimately, John Koblas can supply no final answers, but the questions raised are interesting ones.

John Chartres: Mystery Man of the Treaty
Published in Hardcover by Irish Academic Pr (1998)
Author: Brian P. Murphy
Amazon base price: $15.00
Average review score:

the origins of irish foreign policy
This biography of John Chartres is not only a facinating insight into the events surrounding the signing of the Anglo-Irish treaty, but it also provides a rare glimse of the direction in foreign policy that Michael Collins and Arthur Griffith had envisoned. It clearly indicates the preferance of the then department of external affairs for the Berlin mission over the Paris one, with Chartres as its main proponent. A fascinating read for anyone interested in the Irish revolutionary period.

Well done Ronald Parkinson
I found this book to be a very insightful look into the work of John Constable. Ronald Parkinson, the author, shows remarkable restraint by resisting the urge to transform Constable into a mythic misunderstood genius from the glorious history of English painting. The book reads like a good biography. It tells us what Constable was up to, what artists he was looking at, and the images of what he was painting at that time. What more could you ask for.

My only qualm with the book was its lack of information on Constable's contemporaries. A few hints at what Turner was painting was not enough. I would have liked to have seen more examples of English painters dealing with the landscape even if it meant details from the backgrounds of uninspired portraits.

All in all this was a wonderful book, even if you have little interest in English landscape paintings.

Behind The Scenes With A Man of God
My name is Dr. Curry R. Blake. I am the General Overseer of Dr. John G. Lake's International Apostolic Council. Rev. Wilford Reidt, the author of this book was a dear friend of mine. The material in the book is not the usual info rehashed into a new form. Wilford wanted to try to reveal some of what Dr. Lake was like and what it was like to see behind the scenes of this ministry. Many heretofore unpublished stories are revealed, as well as some personal observations. There was perhaps no better person to write a book such as this, as Wilford was also married to Lake's daughter, Gertrude. When you complete this book, you will not only know more about Dr. Lake, but you will also feel as though you know him, and you will gain valuable insight into what it takes to carry the healing anointing as this man did. healingrooms@minister.com

John Kennedy: Young Man in the White House (American Cavalcade)
Published in Library Binding by Grey Castle Pr (1994)
Author: I. E. Levine
Amazon base price: $
Used price: $2.99
Average review score:

Young Man in the White House
The book gave a very good overview of JFK. Levine went into a lot of detail about foreign affairs when JFK was in college probably because he served in the wars. Also he gave what seemed to be first hand accounts of JFK's days and troubles in the war that only JFK himself would know. Levine did not go into great detail about certain issues, because it was a short book, not a novel.
