Sleepy Bear, Sleepy Baby
My 3-yr old daughter has loved this book since she was about a year old. Each page mimics her own bedtime ritual, and she really thinks she is the bear in the book. She enjoys brushing the bear's teeth, rubbing the teddy's belly, reading the little book inside, and turning out the light. Best of all, though, is the last page, which pops up to show the bear and his buddy cuddling up together in a big bed under a silver moon and stars. We are buying another copy so that our 16-month-old can have his own and the two kids will stop fighting over who gets to go night-night with "Sleepy."

THOUGHTS OF "THE SONG INSIDE."
IN TODAY'S FAST PACED SOCIETY, SECLUSION OF ANOTHER TIME AND ANOTHER PLACE IS RARE. TO LET THE MIND RELAX, TO LET THE TENDER EYE WEEP, AND TO LET ONE'S SOUL BE LIT BY THE FLAME OF DESIRE, AS WELL AS THIRST FOR THE PRECIOUS DRINK OF LIFE...THIS IS THE GIFT THAT F. M. NICHOLSON GIVES TO THE READER. IF FOR ONE SINGLE MOMENT, AN INDIVIDUAL COULD UNPLUG FROM HIS/HER TECHNOLOGICAL DAY, HE/SHE COULD FIND THE VERY ESSENCE OF WHAT BEAUTY STILL LIES WITHIN THE SACRED WORLD THAT THIS TALENTED POET PENS FOR US, SPEAKING FROM THE VERY VOICE OF HUMANITY ITSELF. COME BE SEDUCED BY,"THE SONG INSIDE," AND LET EACH NOTE OF IT'S EMOTIONAL MESSAGE TAKE YOU ON A PERSONAL JOURNEY SHARING IN THIS POET'S VISIONS OF PHILOSOPHY,"FOR ONLY IN REMEMBERING NIGHT CAN ONE TRULY CELEBRATE THE SUN..." AS WELL AS SHARING IN THE SPARKS OF LOVE," OH THAT YOU WERE HERE THIS NIGHT, SILENT BESIDE ME- YOUR BREATHING, COUNTERPOINT TO MY OWN, THRUMMING IN MY HEART. IMAGINING YOU THERE, THE NIGHTSONG ECHOES IN MY BEING..." IF WALT WHITMAN WERE ALIVE TODAY, I SMILE AT THE THOUGHT HE WOULD INVITE F.M. NICHOLSON TO LUNCH WITH HIM WITHIN A GRASSY MEADOW, WHILE HAVING A SPLENDID CONVERSATION. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS HIDDEN TREASURE OF POERTY. KIMBERLY A. BLANCHETTE

An inclusive guide to the realm of special libraries!
Special Libraries & Information Centers: An Introductory Text by Ellis Mount, Renee Massoud is an informative book that describes the realm of special libraries in terms that even the uninitiated person will understand, i.e., a person whom has not studied library science. The table of contents is well developed and at the end of the authors decided to include two indexes: one author index and a subject index. Even though, I think that the book is very informative and I did decide to give it five stars, it, i.e., Special Libraries & Information Centers: An Introductory Text by Ellis Mount, Renee Massoud, has some major flaws. First, the writing style (whilst it being very informative and thought provoking on many levels) it is at times very tedious and the font selected for the book is a bit stilted for my liking (which in itself makes the book an arduous task to finish). Overall, I would very much recommend this book, i.e., Special Libraries & Information Centers: An Introductory Text by Ellis Mount, Renee Massoud to an aspiring librarian or anyone whom is remotely interested in the field of library science.

The author exposes women's most private places
As an infrequent reader of poetry, I found myself quite absorbed in the author's "no holds barred" type of writing. She expresses words and feelings that most women only think but could neither express nor admit. I found myself blushing at some points only because they hit so close to home. Thought provoking and deep at some points, but well worth the time.

Sacre Bleu! An Unexpected Treasure
I just stumbled on this book looking for resources on French culture that went beyond literature, wine and cheese for my students. What a revelation this was! Who knew that Margaret Mead ever wrote anything on France! This is an amazingly perceptive work--still vital and astonishing after 50 years. The astonishing part is that it centers on the structure of the French family, giving a totally different picture of French culture than most Americans ever encounter. As one who has lived with a family in a French village, I found myself continually smiling and nodding in agreement. This book should be read by every student studying French civlization, and everyone contemplating living in that country. I am assigning it to my students, and will give copies as presents this Christmas. Katherine Anderson-Levitt in her introduction puts the entire work in perspective for a contemporary audience, including translations of reviews from French sociologists when the book first came out. This belongs on the bookshelf of every Francophile, and everyone who cares about the anthropology of contemporary societies.

THE KITTEN TAMES A TIGER
TO MARRY A STRANGER is a lighthearted, Cinderella romance between a shy, tender young woman and a man with a wounded body and soul. Humorous moments, entertwined with poignancy, abound as Helen and Damian each find their true loves--in each other.

You will chuckle at the antics of this heroine as she de-cynicizes her man. You will shed a few tears as she accomplishes her goal and a healed and sinfully sexy hero emerges.

This is a romance to make you forget your rotten day and make you remember what's truly important in this world. Don't miss it!

Empowering! the journey from death camps to Meaningful Life
The photos of the survivors are piercing. The stories are unbelievable. Each survivor's story begins with their "normal" life in prewar Europe. We learn how they survived the war and death and slave camps in which most of their families perished. After liberation these people were able to create meaningful lives, create families, and make the world a better place. Though I have studied the Holocaust in depth I was shocked to learn the names of dozens more concentration camps. This book gives hope and strength to anyone who is oppressed on any level.

very sensitive
the book really illustrates to kids the sensitivity needed to help a depressed parent. Ms. Fran's writing was sensitive, yet simple. Ms. Freshman's artwork is delicate and attractive for kids, who can color them in, as an interactive book. Very helpful to all ages for a better understanding of depression and some of its treatments.
