Truly funny, well-written and educational.
Like all the titles in the Kinetic City series, this book sneaks some real science into a fun story line. This particular book, "Home Run Has-Been," is especially timely, because the Super Crew kids try to help a Mark McGuire-type slugger break out of a slump. Buy this book for any kid who reads Animorphs or other books at that level, and don't tell them it's good for them!

Excellent!
What a wonderful story to read with your children! Lloyd Alexander proves once again to be a marvelous storyteller. And the illustrations are just beautiful! Children love the colorful pictures that almost tell the story on their own. If you or your children have enjoyed others of Lloyd Alexander's works, you'll truly love this as well.

A totally delightful book.
This is an absolutely delightful book about how humans speak. It talks about the anatomy and physiology of speech, place and manner of articulation (without ever mentioning those, or any other, technical terms), and discusses why children learning language don't get all sounds right immediately. If you're a linguist, speech therapist, or anything similar, and you have kids, you REALLY want this book.

The Heart of the Gospel in 1 Timothy 1:12
Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones has an incredible way with words. This book is a series of sermons based on 1 Timothy 1:12-

"Nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."

Dr. Lloyd-Jones examines why the gospel is still relevant to us, even today, and makes it so clear that Christian life is not about a system of do's and don't's, but really entrusting Jesus Christ, God in the flesh come to save us through the cross, with our lives.

This is an inspiring and edifying book for Christians of every level. Highly recommended.

If you don't believe in Angels, think again...
One of the greatest collections of real life stories of people who saw and angel or felt their presence. All the stories contained herein involve people who were not only watched over and protected by angels because of their faith and trust in God, but also whose faith and trust in God was born, rekindled, renewed, strengthened and/or even confirmed as a result of their experiences, as written herein. While reading this book, you will see how God sent and still sends his holy angels to watch over us, protect us and surround us when need be. Angel are here among us. You better believe it.
My parents used to read to me these very stories when I was young and I'm not about to deprive my kids of such a treasure. Now that I have rediscovered this book, I'm going to read it to my kids. God Bless!!!
