Rekindling the Home fire
Too bad FLW is not able to read this book. He would have seen where his apprentices have taken his work ,and, through their eyes, how he was remembered. We, the living, are more fortunate. Like any kid, what first attracted me to this book was the pictures,in COLOR no less! But it gets even better;this book brings to life the memory fo FLW by those who knew him best, and gives life to his architecture as it is practiced by his proteges. Now I can feel the presence of the man when I see his work. As an aside,it is time for a book for us empty-nested babyboomers who would like a bungalow sized home with FLW written all over it. We want style, simplicity, function, efficiency, ecology, and enviromental soundness in our space, without all the space;an update of Usonia,a sort of Wright Lite. I hope the apprentices of the apprentices are listening. Meanwhile, read this book!

It shows the great results of FLLW's teachings still going.
The book shows the selected works of several of FLLW's most famous and not so famous apprentices works which have been done since the master passed away in 1959. A great book for the non believers who think the teachings or practices of Mr. Wright died in 1959 when he did. This book shows incredible results of just where organic architecture is today. Check out the works of Edgar Tafel, Cunningham, Milton Stricker, Bob Beharka, Eric Lloyd Wright, Lloyd Wright, John Lautner all of whom I'm fortunate to know and to have known. A great book to have as a part of your collection to show to your friends or those who don't think they are interested in Wright's work, it'll change them into believers fast. Also a great gift for budding architects to steer them in the right (Wright) direction. We can only hope that the work of many lessor known apprentices and fellows of Taliesin gets published soon as Volume #2.

Terrific book. A new perspective on Thanksgiving!
A nice change from the usual "What size turkey should I buy?" and "What should I wear?". Don't get me wrong--I'm not against pilgrims, but this is a fresh book to cherish. Whimsical art. Rythmic storyline. A welcome addition to our library and my library at home. Margaret Willey, it's been a long wait for this children's book!

I've been waiting a long time for this delightful book!
I've enjoyed reading all of Margaret Willey's young adult novels. Illustrator, Lloyd Bloom, captures the essence of a "rollicking" Thanksgiving. Enough worrying about the size of the turkey and what to wear--let's get back to the basics!

Dreaming
If you can look through the stunning photography by Harvey Lloyd and not instantly want to toss all your cares and sail away to paradise, you are a stronger person than I could ever be. I definitely hear Mazatlan calling my name.

Your heart might also start to beat just a little faster as you think about standing on the deck of the Royal Viking Sun at Venice as it basks in the golden glow of dawn over the Adriatic. Sigh...

Voyages gives the reader a journey of sheer visual pleasure to 100 of the world's most exciting ports of call. These have been selected by the world's leading travel writers.

Each destination is reviewed and rated according to: adventure, entertainment, romance, cuisine and shopping (very important aspect). Jay Clark fills in the details and has been traveling since the age of five. His articles have appeared in every major newspaper in America. The writing is flawless and captures each moment.

"Every Time I Sail into port on a cruise ship, a surge of anticipation builds inside me. I know I'm about to embark on another extraordinary adventure. I revel at the thought of the new places and new faces I'll encounter. I look forward to immersing myself in a different culture, eating out-of-the-ordinary foods, shopping for exotic goods, and seeing sights and scenes totally unlike those at home." -Jay Clarke

I was a bit apprehensive about cruising, now I am dying to go on cruise vacation! You will find the information is organized into eleven geographic regions. The east Coast of North America, the Caribbean, South America, Central America, the West Coast of North America, Oceania, the Far East, Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and Northern Europe. A map on the inside covers helps you to locate your dream vacation spots.

Intoxicatingly Beautiful Photography!

Stunning Photos

Network technology
High speed networks and information security

An exceptionally good introduction to network performance
This is the book that really made me understand network performance. It covers performance/delay issues right through the protocol stack.

The Author works through examples to show the reader where performance issues may arise. Many popular products and protocols are covered.

Time after time I see clients moving LAN applications into the WAN environment and failing. All these clients make the same basic mistakes, mistakes they would never have made had they read this book.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I own three copies, while my employer owns two. We struggle to keep ONE copy in the office!

A great book!
This is a great trivia book, and a fun family game. I keep a copy with me wherever I go-- it's great for long car trips and family outings. Mr. Lloyd's wit, wisdom and research pervades every page. And the illustrations are fantastic. He is truly a man among mice, or something like that... And I bet he makes an awesome chicken tetrazzini! We are looking forward to the next 49 states!

Hey Lloyd man!
I was just surfing and my dad told me look up your book. You're sales rank is 680,000! Congratulations! Bye!

Superb book for young children studying the Bible & animals.
We gave "95 Animals of the Bible" as a gift to our six year old niece. She had received a best in class award for her book report written about it. She absolutely loves her copy and shares it with all her friends. She'll bring it over to our house about every other time they visit (which is always a big hit!)

ACCESS Guides are the BEST!
I always find the ACCESS Guides to be the best travel guides overall, and look for them whenever I am about to travel to a new location. So far, I have used their guides to Alb/SantaFe/Taos, Seattle, Montreal/Quebec City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Hawaii, San Diego, and London.

I like their format - they are organized by neighborhoods, so you don't have to seach around through the book all day; and they have an empasis on restaurants and shopping, which I find the other guides don't give enough info on and which are my FAVORITE activities when travelling. Also their print is large, clear, and color coded, which also makes it easy to find what you want (restaurants in one color, shopping in another, tourist sites in another).

It's the best guide to carry around each day while travelling.

I couldn't put the book down!
I highly recommend this read to anyone interested in WWII or anyone who has experienced it. I'm 32, and I learned a lot about the war that our grandparents didn't like to talk about. The letters that Mr. and Mrs. Lane left behind are true treasures. It was like the letters were being wrote to me. Very romantic, emotional, sad at parts and happy at most. I don't think I've ever read a book so fast, just so I could find out what was happening next. You'll laugh, cry, and WON'T be abole to put it down. This makes a great gift for anyone. I bought one for my grandmother, and she loves it! My grandfather was in the war, and I know she can really relate to it. ENJOY!!

Classic SF at its best
Someone is sabotaging the Universal Transmitting Company's new technology--instantaneous transport of objects and people around the world. When Detective Jan Darzek investigates, the mystery seems inexplicable--out of this world.

Biggle has a distinctive light style. He has created a complete universe, as well as an Earth future that is set in the distant 1980s (he wrote in the 60s). Darzek is a classic SF hero--untouched by self-doubt.

Definitely a classic
