I think this was the first science fiction story I ever read... I was a boy of around 12.. and the 'pictures' that were generated by the author as I read his story were totally captivating. I found my self at Cadet George Hanlon's elbow as he found himself joining the Secret Service of the Federation... a young kid just out of the Academy and pressured into once again using the ability of being able to probe another's mind for his thoughts. It doesn't that long before the story is in full swing as George tries to discover to source of very mysterious activity on a planet so far away from Terra.
The author does a very good job developing the story line and I would recommend this as very enjoyable light reading for anyone.

Useful reference for spread of Islam and Islamic history with a very specific character as a "dateline" reference of dynasties and history year by year and by various regions of islamic world.Some specialists would criticize particular points but it remains a useful resource both to get condensed view of a period and area of the Muslim world and as a way of reviewing details after reading broader and more interpretive works. Many readers will want to have some version of the Encylopedia of Islam available to get further information on specific terms and issues.

Combining dozens of both black-and-white and full color pictures and page after page of accurate information vividly illustrated and written by its well-versed author, "A Natural History of Owls" is a must-read, must-have for any real owl lover. It is a great shame that the book is out of print so get your copy before they're all sold!

This book is just like a religious scripture in the field of O&M. It was the first one which gathers all the required techniques and information within one book. It has great pattern to introduce each technique. "Procedure, Rational, Observations" are three topics which guide you to understand each technique in hierarchical way.
