Will The real Men Please Stand Up
I really enjoyed this book. Even though the headlines say this book is not available, I found it quite easy. It is also in the public library for those who want to read it. It is truly a wonderful read. I bought three copies so that I could pass it on to my friends. There are some original, unedited copies out there too. I like those the best. It shows the original book. Ella Patterson hit it right on the head for men.

Great Book
I like the contents of this book. It has helped me understand my mate better. I've learned that women truly want more passion and romance instead of sex. My hygiene was an issue with some women and this book gave me insight on how to combat body odor and create better sexual ethics. This book opened the door for me to make small but important changes in my attitude in and out of the bedroom.

Will The Real Women Please Stand Up
I read the hard cover about 3 years ago, so after reading it I gave it to my wife. Boy what a change it has made in my life and my wife's life. We have learned to communicate instaed of shout at one another. I've tried to be more passionate and loving with my wife since I've red this book. It has opened my eyes to how valuable communication is in a loving relationship. Until I read this bnook I always just let things in my relationship work themselves out. I now know that many of my problems could have been avoided if I had only communictaed in an open, honest and loving way. Thanks to Ella Patterson and her will to write a book like this, I am now a happier man, husband and father. I recommend this book to all couples. It's not just a book for women it's for men too. I don't know Ella personally, but If she ever reads this review I just want to say Thanks to her for helping to save my marriage. I am a better man because of her.

superb
I feel this book should be every women's self-esteem Bible. I read it over and over just for some refreshening.

Johns thoughts about " basket "
" Basket " is a fiction book about a girl, her mom and grandma having a basket on a farm. The baket is a little oak basket which is used to hold almost everything. She held chicken eggs, peaches, pot holders, roses, and some scissors at the bottom. Her grandma would always say "Go look in the basket". The author wrote the style in sentence form to create a story that will go through generations of familys through the whole world of people.

vivid, fascinating, well researched
The story of Ella and her struggle with illness and how it intersects with her spiritual and cultural world is at once fascinating and very sad. To read Benedek's account is to travel by literary horseback deep in the rez, and meet the residents of a different world, one which is changing, one which is struggling to hold onto traditional ways at the same time. I recommend this book to anyone with interest in native people, anyone interested in cultural perspectives on illness. And anyone else! Benedek is academic and personal, she takes you there.

black sand and gold
It's the story of the Gold Rush in 1896 in the Yukon as seen through the eyes of a young girl. The book was not only exciting but very interesting and frankly moved me. Sadly the book is no longer in print. To make matters worse the book was stolen from me (Signed by the author mind you! ) and if that person happens to be reading this please send it back now! Seriously to incapsalate my thoughts and feelings in regards to this book "It was the factual account of the discovery of the gold in the Yukon and I loved it! " happy/merry Qwanza/Cristmas/Ramadon/Hanekha and Groundhog's day to you and yours at this festive time of year!

Beautiful
I've read many times the celtic tales written by historians or history teachers. However, i've never read those tales in such touching and heartwarming way. Ella Young loved her land, and it notices. From the creation of the world, to the arrival of christianity to Ireland, these celtic tales are lovely to hear and to read. I've read the spanish version (a translation), and even when i know that in the translations some of the original spirit is lost, this doesn't occur with Celtic Wonder Tales. The writing is so simple, direct and beautiful, that the only complaint i could have is that the book is too short. I'd loved a longer book, including more and more legends, in Ella's precious style.

excellent Southwest mystery
Life on the Navaho reservation in New Mexico is never easy but this winter is particularly hard. The weather is abnormally cold, unemployment is up, and many people are forced to choose between eating and heating up their homes. The Tribal Council, responsible for the welfare of the people on the reservation, debates whether to legalize gambling as a way of bringing in revenue.

Navaho Special Investigator Ella Clah knows that the Indian Mafia is behind the wave of vandalism that is concentrated in the Shiprock area. The thugs hope to intimidate the people and the Tribal Council to vote for gambling and they are willing to escalate the level of violence to achieve their goals. Between tracking down the leaders of the criminal element and avoiding snipers and other assaults on her life, Ella has a thirty-six hour day just staying alive.

Amy and David Thurlo have created a mystery series that gets better with each book written though the previous novels are all top quality. Ella Clah is a fascinating character who endears herself to the audience by adhering true to her values even defending the rights of those who disagree with her. Fans of Tony Hillerman and Southwest mysteries will appreciate CHANGING WOMAN.

If only it were in print...
This book is a solid explanation of the intricacies of Persian radif music, which is a combination of precomposed and improvised elements. As a professional musician and composer I found the author's willingness to address technical issues a big plus. Yet the book is not forbiddingly technical or dry, and a serious non-musician can also gain a lot from the book. If you are not steeped in Persian music already it may take a while to digest the theory behind this music, but this book is absolutely introduction I've seen.

Sound Research with Practical Application
I've read this book several times, given copies to Elders and friends, and attempted to put the lessons learned from Ellas' research to practical use in a local congregation. The results have been as advertised. Our 50-year-old congregation has experienced meaningful growth, which appears to be a direct result of applying the recommendations of this book. I am happy to correspond with anyone that is interested in my experience of applying this research in a mid-sized suburban congregation.

Just like a trip to New Orleans
As a proud owner of literally hundreds of cookbooks, it's always a wonderful surprise to discover a terrific book that I've never seen or heard of before. The Commander's Palace New Orleans Cookbook is just such a book. This book was recently used as the basis of two recipes in a gourmet cooking class I attend once a week, and the results were outstanding, to say the least. We started the meal with Commander's Garlic Bread which was served with Creamy Tomato Bisque with Lump Crabmeat and a Chiffonade of Fresh Basil. The main course, grilled salmon and barbequed mouth watering smoked spare ribs, were simply out of this world ... with a sauce inspired by this book's suggestions. But when we got to the dessert! We made Bananas Foster, a favorite dessert in New Orleans, and one of the most rich and wicked desserts you'll find anywhere - flambéed with banana liqueur and rum, and served over vanilla ice cream. This recipe alone will transport you to another world... a world that will have your taste buds swirling for days and leave you hankering for a trip to New Orleans to visit the Palace yourself.
