accessable crowleyana
I can't believe I have to be the first reviewer of this book. This is, in my opinion, the best place to start if you want to know what Crowley was all about. It has a very wide sampling of his voluminuos writing, with academic commentary. Much of Crowley's work is difficult to understand because he assumes you are as educated as he is, and because he frequently makes jokes designed to misleed and outrage those with a puritanical leaning. Having someone who has obviously spent some time studying Crowley and his ideas as a guide is an excellent benefit. Even though this book is out of print it seems to be widely and cheaply available, so buy a copy already.

Puti po Rossii

Travel Russia for Free? Not impossible, can apply to world.

Anton tells us how to travel the world for free in this small book that is unfortunately not yet widely translated.

He is not only setting up the instructions for how to travel by hitchhiking, he's also spelling out his philosophy about being a good samaritan, trusting the basic goodness of mankind, and telling how you should try and be as kind to others as possible in terms of hospitality and helpfulness on the road.

In a world that is growing smaller even while individually we grow more distant to our neighbors due to TV and computers, Anton's stories of traveling around Russia and the world on pennies per day are quite amazing.

Do NoT rEaD tHiS rEvIeW- and other logical types
A perrenial favorite of mine. Wilson is my hero; next to Burroughsian beats, Leary the Mad Leprechaun, and Quantum Physics-- which by no coincidance, RAW got me hooked on. Wilson has spun a titillating web of Indraic beauty in the omnidirectional expanding noos-sphere. Have fun with your head and read this or any of Wilson's mind candy manuals...HOO!

Ruling passions : sex, race and empire

Fascinating book and TV series.
I saw the TV series, by accident, and picked up the book
very cheaply from Amazon partner Alibris. This is a rather
unusual and fascinating aspect of the Empire. There were
many personal stories told, all interesting, some sad. The
past really is another country. Real history as experienced
by real people can be far more interesting than fiction. I
only wish the book had been longer.

A thorough well presented mountain of facts & explaination
Great for anyone who wants a "hands-on" guide to the mechanics of scanning & printing. Lots of comparison charts to show different techniques, loads of explination of those hard to grasp subjects. Brilliant worked tables. Well worth the money! :O)

Schoenberg and His School: The Contemporary Stage of the Language of Music
Published in Paperback by DaCapo Press (1975)
Authors: Ren±E, Leibowitz and Rene Leibowitz
Amazon base price: $5.95
Used price: $4.99

The best book I've ever read on the subject!
This is the most thorough book I have ever read on Schoenberg and the Second Viennese School. It very clearly leads the reader through the progression from tonal music to the twelve-tone system and demonstrates how this progression is a logical extension of the music that came before. There is also a great deal of analysis of almost all the works of Schoenberg, Berg & Webern.

Trully Russian Story
This is one of Russian classics. All stories by Anton P. Checkov would touch your soul but this is one of the best of them, picturing young lady struggling with prejudices of the society. I love his stories for being the mirror of Russian life of the dawn of XX century.
