Wow
Wow! A Child Is Waiting is a wonderful book, it is written by Christine D'Angelo and I highly recommend it! It's about an unmarried American lady named Amy Blake who has an accident that leaves her unable to have children so she Goes overseas to adopt a baby, when she gets there she is informed by the adoption agency that she has to travel to the mountain region where the baby is. Sam Crawford is the man who reluctantly agrees to help Amy find the biological mother who wants Amy to adopt her baby. Sam who has a lot of emotional issues to deal with since he was falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit is very reluctant to get close to and trust Amy but she falls in love with him and he loves her but is afraid to admit it because of being hurt by a scheming woman from his past. I highly recommend this wonderful book!

outstanding!
Sandra Angelo is both a wonderful artist and fabulous teacher. I now have five (?) books and videos by her and each is better than the last. This book is one of her older ones but every bit as good as the more recent. She inspires you to create and then helps you do it! This book covers all basics of colored pencil artistry, including choosing a surface, tips for working on colored paper, transparent layering, colorless blender, burnishing, sgaffito, colored pencil with graphite, impressed line, working on black paper, and combining techniques. For *each* topic, Angelo provides step by step instructions for a drawing, a color chart for all colors used in that drawing, and several other drawings to inspire you to go further on your own within that topic. You can learn a lot from this book but can also get much pleasure from just admiring the pictures. I highly recommend this, and any other, publication by Sandra Angelo!

The Best Italian Verb Book
This is a gem of an Italian verb book. It is a true verb system, not omitting some types of less common conjugations lacking in Colaneri's "501 Italian Verbs" (which gives us a huge number of regular verbs, when only a handful are needed). It also notes the accented syllable (completely lacking in Colaneri) and is the only verb book I've ever seen indicating the correct stress for verbs like abitare, educare, etc., which have forms accented on the third- or fourth-to-last syllable.
Even more important, there are very few lumping errors, where a verb with some minor variation is said to be conjugated like a close relation, but not quite. The Italian verb book in the Teach Yourself series is especially guilty of this.
This is on the level of the little pocket verb books you can find in Italy, buts it's the only one like it available in the USA.

A Day in the Life of a Cow.....
From sun up to sun down, spend a day in the life of a dairy cow. Rise at dawn, "big and heavy", and head for the barn, ready to be milked. Then lumber back to the pasture to eat and chew your cud all day long, take a cool drink from the river, and maybe a nap in the shade of a tree during the hot afternoon. "Your ears twitch to clear the flies from your face. You swish them from your back with a long bushy tail." As dusk approaches it's time to head back to the barn for the evening milking. "You graze, you chew, and you rest. It's hard work being a cow." Malachy Doyle's spare text, told in the second person, is quiet, and poetic, and complemented by Angelo Rinaldi's stunning artwork. Mr Rinaldi's beautifully shaded, close-up, and detailed oil paintings are so realistic and lifelike that you'll think you're looking at photographs. Together word and art offer a simple and elegant peek at a cow's life down on the dairy farm. Perfect for youngsters 3-7, Cow is engaging, early non-fiction at its best, and an evocative picture book that shouldn't be missed.

This book helps me get through each day more easily.
I love this book. It is written by one of the greatest men of the Twentieth Century, and one of its most beloved. The thing that is so pleasing about this book is that one can read each day as it comes along, and still read this like a great novel that really happens. it is as relevant today, actually more so, as it was in 1962. This has to be one of the most underappreciated books of the last half-century. I will admit, I am a Catholic, but Pope John meant for this book to read and profited from by all Christians-remember, he kept repeating, "Ut unum sint"-"That they may be one", as he neared his passing. this book may be the true key to Christian reunification. So whether you are Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist or Baptist, it would do you good to pick up this great tome. It will amke life easier...if you really listen.

First mathematical logic book I truly enjoyed!
I studied the 1st edition (Blaisdell) of this book from cover to cover in 1985. It was great. The updated Dover edition is just as enjoyable. If you have any passion for the subject at all, get a copy of this book. You can't beat it for an introduction.

New York City Loves its Brothers
The Brothers are a New York original! Finally, scripts to recall their wildly entertaining plays! While these are best appreciated live and in the flesh; it cannot be denied that reading them is a blast. These plays are absolutely brilliant: silly and subversive, bawdy and tender. Imagine John Waters, The Ridiculous Theatre Co. and The Carol Burnett Show all thrown into a blender - with a nod to Hollywood's sapphic melodrama. Murderous secretaries! Love and heartbreak in an orphanage! Lesbians in space - with a monkey??!! In a word - hysterical; and a great literary taste of NYC theatre.

I would give this book 600 stars!
I liked this book a lot. It's about a little girl. Her name is Heidi. I liked when Peter kicked the wheelchair. It went tumbling down. I could really imagine this book. It made lots of sense. At the beginning I had a little trouble but once we kept reading I would say I give it 600 stars.

Makes you appreciate what you have!
Okay, I'm the author's son, but I wouldn't be writing these words were I not truly convinced that this is a great story. They don't make women like my grandmother anymore. She never knew the meaning of the word "sacrifice". My mother's description of my grandmother's harrowing boat trip from Lebanon to her new home in the United States will make even the most hardnosed cynics quiver. And her tending to my debilitated grandfather (due to a stroke) while raising my mother and her brothers and sisters (5 in all!) in a closet-sized attic apartment and working double shifts at a tape company truly makes me appreciate everything I have. Yes, this story has been told before, but this one has a fresh point of view unlike anything else I have read previously. My mother has not only written a chronicle of our family's history, but a truly endearing story of one woman's struggle in the face of unfathomable obstacles - and all for the sake of being able to live in America.
