A delightful peek into a child's imagination
An enchanting look at what goes on in a young girl's imagination during a perfectly ordinary trip to the beach with her parents. The story is in the pictures rather than in the text, which puts the young readers in charge of the story. A delightful book!

Book Review
John Herman has done a A+ job at Deep Waters. A thrilling book from cover to cover, it will have you on the edge of your seat. I recommend it to any teenager. Its a story about friendship, camp, and everything else about teenagers. You will surely relate to it from the beginning and to the end, all 198 pages. Surely a 5 star novel.

Excellent for a diving library. Good book
We really like this book, and used it as a reference source for some of the information in our website (see email address). It has nice photographs, detailed descriptions of the bigger reefs, and is written with a fun, interesting tone. Definitely recommended.

Excellent diving resource
The book featured is an excellent Lonely Planet guide. It has been written taking into consideration low budget travellers and presents sites for divers in the Red Sea around locations including the popular Sharm el Sheikh and Ras Muhammed, Eliat and the Brothers. The information on each site includes: depth and visibility; required expertise; bottom terrain; currents; marine life; safety tips; and local dive shops. Most of the chapters are easy to read and actually are very well written. However, some of the tips are a little bit outdated (the book was written in 1994). In any case, it is cheap and very useful.

Winner of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award
"As a poet who teaches philosophy, John Koethe knows better than most of us the uses and dissatisfactions of both disciplines, if indeed they are disciplines. In this ravishing and haunted book he comes face to face with the time when 'more than half my life is gone,' and must try to find the meaning of 'a childish/dream of love, and the loss of love,/and all the intricate years between.' As funny and fresh as it is tragic and undeceived, FALLING WATER ranks with Wallace Stevens's AURORAS OF AUTUMN as one of the profoundest meditations on existence ever formulated by an American poet." --John Ashbery

More Fun with Jim!
A great follow-up to the first Trout & Beyond, with more esoteric adventures of Jim & friends in the real world hunting real fish most of us wouldn't fish for in the first place. Buy them both!

An adventure yarn filled with terror and laughter
If there's even an ounce of salt water in your blood,
Jourdanes inside look at the grueling Whitbread Round the
World Race will make your heart beat faster and your spine
tingle. I started reading the book one evening, and found
that I couldn't put it down until I finished it in the wee
hours of the morning.
