Juan Rulfo le escribe a su futura esposa Clara. Un tema simple y, al mismo tiempo, el más complejo. Es el viejo tema del enamorado que busca el deseo de la mujer y para lograrlo escribe con gracia y se esmera en refinar un estilo que ya entonces era muy legible. Cuando se leen estas cartas podemos ver la evolución del estilo literario de Rulfo y un mayor sentido lúdico que de verdad es fascinante. También ofrece pequeños datos acerca de la época y de lo que leía en esos años; hay un referencia a Muerte sin fin de José Gorostiza. Para los admiradores de Rulfo este título es excelente.

The collaberation between black and white and color photos is appealing to the senses. Fashion is shown mostly through the images of super models and superstars. Included are photos spanning the decades and the world, with people of all races and ages portrayed. The portraits are refreshing and truly creative, using graphic design in just the right amount. Overall I would rate this as one of the top five fashion books one must have! I also recommend 10 Years of Dolce & Gabbana if you like this book for the great photography and design.

This is actually more like a pamphlet than a book. It gives very detailed directions for driving the loop and tells you what you are looking at as you are driving by. Information includes the name of mines (with a little history) or old buildings along the road as well as the mountain peaks off in the distance. We left ours at home on our last trip and bought another one in Colorado.

Analyzing indeces may seem a boring task. However, Bonta has done much of the dirty work already for us. His painstaking analysis draws surprising conclusions about architects, their fame, society, and world history. I particularly enjoyed the way he tied world events to the results his data formulated. Architects, mathematicians, theorists, and many more should enjoy Bonta's masterful manipulation of index data to seek insight into the world of architecture in particular, and our world in general. One can't help but wonder what else Bonta may have been able to uncover if he had had an electronic database of indeces covering a wider spectrum of disciplines with which to work.

This is avery funny book! I started to read it and I finished it that night, it's so addicting just like Lowry's other books. If your looking for a good book, this is an excelent one.

Provides a lot of background information on the antichrist King Juan Carlos. Though this book does not have any "satanic pictures" of Juan Carlos you can get that in the Nov.97 issue of Vanity Fair where Carlos is dressed in a black Prince of Darkness robe and red cape with a german sheppard. Look out! King Juan Carlos' day of revealing draws nearer, only now will he continue to work from behind the scenes until that day of infamy arrives. Repent now or face the Great Tribulation under the "iron fist" of King Juan Carlos as his song of the day will be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as the price for food and to stay alive will be your soul.

This is the best book I never read before, all the poems take you to the beatiful place of reflexion and help you to forgot all yours mistakes of your past and also forgive, but the best thing this book do for you is start again.

I have been a fan of Juan Gimemez since his first publishing back in the 80s in Heavy Metal Magazine. I was then introduced to more of his work when I lived in France. In Europe comics are made for adults and Gimenez is considered one of the best. His Meta Barons series is a classic and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a great story and beautiful art.

This book manages to show Gimenez's work throughout his entire career, starting with his early ink comic book work, up to his current paintings. There are beautiful reproductions of his covers, comic panels and many unfinished sketches. There is even a photo of Gimenez painting at his drawing board!

Gimenez has been a huge influence on my personal work and to finally get a chance to see his methods, and inspiration was truly enlightening. This is a wonderful book with a great balance of art and just enough text. Definitely pick this up.
