I loved all of the suspence and action

As the action progresses you feel your heart beating faster and faster. It was so decriptive I could taste it, here it, and almoast touch it.

I am in 7th grade and twelve years old. My mom got the first episode for me and now I got the second one for myself! I really like the airboat chase scene in the beginning of "Mystery @ Lighthouse Point". I also liked how the book kept me going to the next chapter. The suspense of the story was left at the end of each chapter and then you went somewhere else to the other characters. It was one cliffhanger after another! I couldn't believe I read 22 chapters! It was very visual which helped me remember the details. I wish it was an Accelerated Reader Book. I asked my school to make it one. You really can't put it down once you get into it. Now I am on the second episode called "Secret of Fire & Ice" and it was filmed and written about Iceland which I had never seen before. It is like the "Hobbit" in a way but very different from the first episode even though you still have the twins in all the episodes.

I am a single mom who has little time to read books, but I love to read! This book has enough detail to make it interesting from beginning to end, yet it isn't so long that it takes forever to get it read between loads of laundry, and other household duties. This book is one of those that you hate to lay down until finished, and if you do, you can't wait to get back to it.
Thanks to Brenda Ivie for writing books that I can read regardless of my busy schedule. Scuttlebutt says that a sequel is being written, I can't wait!

This book reads as if it were coming from a movie reel. Lots of action, suspense, and romance. I think it would make a great movie. Any producers out there looking for a movie idea? Read this book, you'll love it!!!!

Hi Ms. Kay, Well, the reason why I am here is because of my friend ChenDee, who recommended this book to me...At first I didnt want to b/c I think romance is for girls...but she asked me to read the first 20 pages to see if I like it or not, and as I started reading it...I began to be more interested in whats gonna happen next.. this book is my first book of romance..and I am very surprised to see that the author does a very good job :) well, I have always read only sci-fic and westerns... guess I must thank for my friend ChenDee for bringing me to the Indian Romance world... I couldnt wait to read more books of Karen Kay... This book is the best American Indian romance I have ever read, I just borrowed it from the library and when I was on page 13 and 14, I couldnt help myself but I cried.... It is very touching....and I must confess, this is the first book that I read about Karen Kay...well, since I am very interested in reading about American Indians...I am going to read more of her books =) I fell in love with this book and I am very upset to see that it is out of print because I would want to have my own copy of this book to gain my collection of American Indians Romance... all in all, I am looking forward to read more books by Karen Kay =)

Lianne Lopes' SHADOW OF THE WOLF was my very first e-book purchase. Money well spent. Ms. Lopes kept me glued to my computer from the very first page. Fast-paced. Suspenseful. Riveting characters--and not just the hero and heroine. All of the characters were well drawn and realistic. The historical detail was great. I did not get to sleep until well past my bed time.

Shadow of the Wolf is a powerful message of love and faith in the midst of unimaginable circumstances. This gripping love story will grab your interest from page one.

This is absolutely one of my favorites in inspirational romantic/suspense. SHADOW OF THE WOLF is an edge-of-your-seat page-turner. All the better if you're a WW2 buff. This author knows her stuff! Lianne Bruynell Lopes, takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride through Nazi occupied Europe. The unforgettable hero and heroine, Anna and Ricard, keep a tenuous hold on one another, while Anna holds fast to her faith in God. Touching and real. Highly recommended.

In the journey towards self-realization, SOWF serves as a springboard that catapults the reader to move beyond the "intellectual masturbation" and romanticism that many so-called spiritual books have regurgitated and repackaged. Within these pages are the tried and tested tools that are most practical and applicable to our daily lives.

How do we affect change to promote growth and evolution within ourselves so that, in turn, we may assist humanity in moving towards its own collective maturity? How does our own state of mind, when lost in chaos and confusion, affect the very interrelationship of life on a grander scale? How do we utilise our folly to gain a better understanding of the concept that life doesn't just happen, but instead should be lived and cherished as the most exhilarating adventure of all.

This book will make you remember.

Unlike many, my discovery of Theun Mares and the Toltec Teachings did not come through the Castaneda camp. In fact, to this day I still have not read straight through any one of Dr. Castaneda's books.

In any case, after I read "Return of the Warriors" by Theun I quickly ordered all of his books which up until that point did not include "Shadows of Wolf Fire."

It was with great anticipation that I began Theun's latest work on the Toltec Teachings: "Shadows of Wolf Fire." And I was never disappointed. In fact, moved to tears in many parts, puzzled and somewhat overwhelmed in others, I found in this work
answers to many of the questions raised within me from reading his earlier volumes of the Toltec Teachings.

In a world so riddled with strife, so fragmented by separative behavior and thinking and so very far from the potential magic inherent within each of us, Theun's newest book is a joy. It makes me glad to be alive and thankful for each day as I work to unfold the mystery which is me.

It is very difficult to say more than I highly recommend "Shadows Of Wolf Fire". I eagerly awaited this book for months after reading the others in the series three times each. So much so, I purchased a Limited Edition Leather Bound book. That should tell you something. This is not a book to be read without first reading the other three. My recomendation to any-one, would be to read Volume 1, "Return Of The Warriors". Personally, I don't see how anyone can read the first volume without eagerly consuming the other three. Anything else I could say seems to place me in a "catch 22" situation, which you can only understand after reading and begining to live the wonderful, mysterious teachings that flow through them. I have never met Theun Mares personally or participated in any of his workshops, but I am truly honored to be a recipient of his purpose. To recomend the book in some way seems futile for I know that all that will read it have all been already determined by fate. In that regard, all I have to say is "thank you so much Thuen Mares."

This book has awaken something with in me . It is the first time that i have read a book filled with the true feelings that people are afraid to talk about out loud . I would like to see more books by the authorin the near furture THIS BOOK PUTS YOU BACK WITH YOUR SELF AND VERY CLOSE TO NATURE . THAT REALLY HELPS YOU TO FACE LIFE. Personally, First book i've enjoyed reading cover to cover in one sitting / every page makes you work. This book also answers lots of thoughts and questions. I would recommend Any one seeking a better under standing of their place in nature or on Mother Earth to read this book. From a store owner perspective, this book has enlightened a large variety of diverse people. Best selling book ever sold in my store.

This book has been a far reaching inspirational book into the depts of my soul and each time I read it a new meaning comes forward. This book always has a very special messsage in each and every passage. Couldn't put the book down until I read it from cover to cover. I recommend this book to those of you who are looking for enlightenment and higher awareness to truth.

A study in the perserverance and dedication of a group of people to bring the wolf back to its own enviroment in the wildernesses of Yellowstone Montanna. Full of information this book will elate you as well as sadden you, but the winner here of course is the wolf who once more runs free on his land.

Jim Brandenberg always brings the wolf into our homes vividly and with great skill through his photographs, and in this book, these exquisite photos are paired up with the informative writing of Stephen Swinburne. Swinburne covers an excellent range of topics in this short (but highly-informative) book, including the history of the wolf's extermination in this country, early conservationists, wolf behavior and social structure, myth-busting, the Yellowstone project, and the wolf's future prospects.

He brings in quotes and information from Leopold, Mech, Bangs, Askins, and many other notable figures in the wolf conservation movement to give correct facts and information. I wouldn't call this a book for younger children; it's written at perhaps a teenager's level, and younger children might find the statistics and assorted other information boring. However, Swinburne does cover the bittersweet story of wolves Numbers Nine and Ten, which personalizes the struggles wolves today face.

Swinburne manages to succinctly cover most of the important issues in this relatively brief book (about a half hour's read, perhaps 45 minutes,) and it's a great way to educate yourself or someone else on the basics of wolf conservation. Highly-recommended!

I just took a look at this book and was so impressed. The subject is fascinating, of course, but I'm especially taken with the clear, cogent writing, the terrific quotes, and the truly remarkable photographs. I definitely recommend this for any kid (or adult, for that matter) with an interest in wildlife.

This novel is Christa Wolf's fictionalized account of growing up in Nazi Germany. This is a story about war, history, memory, and learning from our mistakes. It is positively gripping. The author manages, as another reviewer noted, to show that the tyranny of the Nazi regime was difficult for non-Jews as well as Jews, without in any way minimizing the horror of the Holocaust. I literally couldn't put this book down in parts.. it is that powerful. Wolf doesn't sentimentalize the story. She makes all the people in the book seem real. The descriptions of events were so real that felt as though I was there. I have been forever changed by this book. It has given me new insight not only into WWII, but also into myself, because it's given me a way to look into my own past. As Wolf writes, "What is past is not dead; it is not even past. We cut ourselves off from it; we pretend to be strangers." Ultimately, this passage sums up the theme of the movel, and, as a result, it broadens the scope of the book so that it has a message for everyone, even beyond its obvious messages about war and Nazism.

Those interested in history, or psychology, or who like character driven novels, will likely love this book. I know that it is not easily available. Despite that, I urge you to try to find a copy, be it through your local library or through a used book store.

I used this book with students to consider German responses to the Hitler years. Wolf writes in a way that does not allow the reader to remain passive (which upset some students who wanted the author to do all the work) nor does she allow the Hitler years to become an object of the past (which would allow contemporary readers to remain uncritical of their present society). She wants the reader to consider current issues by using her particular childhood as springboard for thought. Wolf places German suffering in its proper context. She acknowledges that many Germans suffered but she never allows the reader to forget the greater suffering of the Jews and other victims of Nazi hatred. Most remarkable of all, Wolf does not paint herself as a childhood hero bur rather as a typical German young person of the time. She reminds Germans that Germany was responsibility for the war. She also makes it clear (by quoting articles from the local newspaper) that Germans knew far more about the horrible events than they later admitted. This essential book needs to be available again. I have a Ph.D. in German literature and read Wolf in German, but those without German must have this work too.

As a in the 80es upgrown German I know very much about the Nazi time in Germany from school. This book added the feelings of young people living and growing up in Germany in that time. I lerned why and how they became as they did. By the way you have to know that the author lived in that time herself and some pieces may be autobiographic... Please read the other books of Christa Wolf, too.

Since you can read the introduction in the "Look Inside" section, I won't say much about it except that Necromancer Games is going for an old style dungeon romp with monsters, puzzles and traps (including instant kill ones - ie, if you don't escape the trap, you're dead.. no save attempts). The graphics on the cover are quite nice and the black and white drawings inside are very well done. There's good use of white space in the text, making it easy enough to read. The maps however are below average. They're small, with no grids or size scale and hard to read. These problems are fixed if you log onto their site and download new maps, however this shouldn't have been a problem in a module that's otherwise of high quality. In addition, you can download more information about the wilderness and a special extra encounter that harkens back to a 'classic' (supposedly) module encounter from 1st Edition rules. This special encounter is now downloadable without having to dig up the codeword, since it's right on the site, and looks to be a fun addition.

Before I go on, realize that I've only read, not DMed or played this adventure. This is part 1 of a 3 part dungeon and includes the upper levels. The nice thing about the dungeon is that it does not get incrementally harder as you move down it. The players had better realize that sometimes it's better to run, since not all the encounters are tailored with an eye towards the probable strength of the party. You can also travel between many levels, even skipping many in between, using certain routes. No "one way to the previous level and one way to the next level" deals here. This feels a lot more realistic (in spite of the claims by the authors that they want to go back to the good old days of illogical dungeons - I'm firmly convinced this was meant tongue in cheek as there is at least a nod towards logic in it). Of course, this only works if you have all three modules. There are some fiendish traps and strong monsters, but puzzles are lacking.

One complaint I have is that the shaded text that's meant to be read to the players sometimes assumes you've gone through the dungeon a certain way and seen something referred to in the text (usually minor, like saying something along the lines of "The rubble in this room isn't quite as broken as that in both of the others." when the players may have only moved through one room on the way in). Also the shaded text sometimes assigns feelings to the PCs, a no no in my book. These complaints along with the maps prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating, but if you want a decently priced, hack and slash dungeon crawl in the old style, this looks to be one of the better choices.

Having picked up a couple of the other products by Necromancer Games/Sword and Sorcery Studios, I decided after glancing through Rappan Athuk that this had possibilities as well. First off, let me say that the only disappointing thing about this product is the long wait between part 2, where more info on the lost Temple of Orcus will be presented. This is a good, basic dungeon crawl with several tough encounters. There are enough hooks available so that it can be dropped into any campaign that you are running. Plus, there is plenty of room for a creative DM to add to the dungeon or make it a part of his or her campaign. The toughest creatures that the party will encounter is this module are the Skeletal Warrior (who is a Blackguard), Purple Worms and the Spectral Lich, who resides on a level that the PC's will have to work hard to get to. The treasures are commensurate with the encounters, so the PC's will be happy. Overall, the product is great, it is presented well and easy to follow.

This module is advertised as the intro to a series of modules that are pure dungeon crawl (Long on Hack 'n Slash and Traps, short on roleplaying), but each of the levels in this dungeon can easily be adapted by a DM to be a standalone adventure. As such, this module will work for DMs who want a long running dungeon crawl, or DMs who just want a bunch (up to 5) of drop in 1 night adventures. Anyone looking to make money at publishing modules should look at this as a good example. This presumes next to nothing about the campaign, and so you can fit it where you need it in your campaign rather than making your campaign fit the module.

If you have to pay someone to change your printer's ink cartridge, then this book is for you. Seriously. For someone like my dad for whom a computer is a nasty genie barely restrained by the lamp, then this book is perfect.

If you have any systems experience AT ALL, then you'll want something more advanced. This book is too long on banter and too short on technical information for my needs, which aren't great; I'm not buying this book because I want to earn an MCSE.

Still, I'll give Mr. Wolf four stars for writing something my dad could comprehend!

I have read 4 books on home networking and this is a great book. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone setting up a home network. It's got it all and written in a style that's educational, practical, and not all theory. You will be able to set up your home LAN in no time with this book. I also recommned the "Home Networking Survival Guide" by David Strom as a companion (not a substitute) to this book. Wolf has written a great book here among all that I have read on the subject.

I bought this book because my roommate and I wanted to share an cable modem connection. I've tinkered with computers for quite some time, but was a little intimidated about networking. This book had very detailed info on how to set up a home network in Windows (I connected an XP and 98 machine), including IP address configuration, file and printer sharing info, as well as understanding how NAT and DHCP works.

For anyone who wants good step by step on setting up a home network, this is a solid book. Also had info on how to insert NIC cards, cabling etc. Overall, very good book, five stars.
