Angel Mae - 5 stars!
Angel Mae is a touching story. It gives me the opportunity to talk about many issues with my 3 year old : jelousy, anger, anxiety, excitment, happiness. Yet the story is natural, funny, and definately not soppy. The illustrations are excellent.

A must-read for professors-to-be
This book is a worthwhile read because it clearly and convincingly documents covert and overt attempts to silence feminist voices on college campuses. The book reveals the presence of Antifeminist Intellectual Harassment in the history of feminist activism, campus politics, and academic sites of power. This unambiguous, engaging text presents a history of the feminist and antifeminist movements and places them within the context of the university. For this valuable insight into academic life, the editors and chapter authors deserve abundant acclaim.

If you want to use aromatherapy on babies you need this book
The authors bring many years of experience in aromatherapy to the writing of this book. They cover their topics in a clear concise manner yet with enough depth that the reader feels empowered to act. My only criticisms are: The authors selection of oils, though well done, left out a few really important oils and the section on "inhalation" wasn't as complete as I'd have liked. The section on massage was very well done with excellent photographs. If you are new to using pure essential oils in support of your younger family members health this is a must buy.

The Aromatherapy Workbook: Understanding Essential Oils from Plant to Bottle
Published in Paperback by Thorsons Pub (1994)
Author: Shirley Price
Amazon base price: $15.00
Used price: $7.00

Well-written and relevant. Clear, understandable material.
Shirley Price has managed to take some of the stickier subjects in aromatherapy, namely the chemisty of essential oils as well as plant families, and make them easy to understand. She does this without sacrificing accuracy to simplicity. This book is a must for anyone who wishes to be well-versed in the subject of aromatherapy. In fact, I have recommended this book to hundreds of people in my aromatherapy schools across the country.

The Astrology Sourcebook by Shirley Soffer
Shirley's book is a triumph, and it's a great way for the closet astrology enthusiast to gain entry to the universe of the zodiac. It's also extremely useful to professional astrologers who need to get back to the roots of their practice. In this book, Shirley takes us on a journey through the history of astrology, its ties to mythology and symbolism and an incisive analysis of each zodiac sign. Then, Shirley applies her knowledge of Jungian psychology to explain the use of elements (fire, earth, air and water) in astrology and how they color an individual's personality profile. Shirley's wisdom is conveyed in an intimate and readable style. Although her book targets the beginner, there is much to be gleaned even by jaded astrologers who think they've read all there is to know. I'm recommending this book to all of my students- and also to my friends and colleagues who can appreciate the deep research and craftsmanship that Shirley has put into this volume.
