Earl and Pearl, the Christmas Squirrels
Published in Paperback by Habitat Pubns (1998)

A Very Well Written and Well Illustrated Book
Earl and Pearl The Christmas Squirrels is a very well written book. The illustrations were also superb. The author reminds us that during the holiday season, while most of us are making merry, others may not be as fortunate particularly animals. In this story, the author focuses on squirrels. The author reminds us that we need to have peace and good will to men, women, children, and especially our fellow animal friends. Our animal friends may not be as fortunate as us and we need to appreciate that. I give the story "two tails up." I recommend that you all make this story a part of your holiday tradition.

Sensitive
This is a sensitive and articulated unauthorised biography of Elton John. In fact Elton has favourably stated that this is quite an accurate account of his life.

Only Elton can fill in the gaps.

For compelling reading by Philip Norman and for a great insite to the life of a legendary music star try to get your hands on a copy of this book.

Detailed compilation of discoveris of NA gemstones
This is an update featuring all new information which has come to light since vol. II was published in 1976. It is a detailed compilation of discoveries and occurrences of all North American gemstones.

The book is organized simply with a brief description of each stone followed by details from each geographical region in which it has been found. Detailed bibliographical references follow each entry, facilitating further study.

There is a dazzling section of 16 color plates highlighting the most spectacular recent discoveries. An array of heat-treated sapphire colors, precious opal, exquisite turquoise & a beautiful elephant tourmaline carving are featured.

Of special interest are recent diamond discoveries and an extensive section on the varieties and cultivation of pearls. This is an indispensable reference for anyone interested in the wide variety of gemstones in North America.

this is an awesome book about my favorite punk band, Green Day. It's got all the inside info on the band members and their records from 1972 on, it has info on the lives of the members and what their thoughts are on drugs, love, fame, and many other things, this is a must have for any fan. It's also the same size as a cd case, with 120 pages, this is so cool!

Guitar army; street writings/prison writings
Published in Unknown Binding by Douglas Book Corp.; distributed by World Pub. Co. ()
Author: John Sinclair
Amazon base price: $
Used price: $111.77

A riveting glimpse of the heart of the 60's Counter-Culture
"Guitar Army" is a product of it's time. To some, that would imply that this book is "dated". That's true, and that's what makes it so fascinating. Few people still remember how organized certain factions of the counter-culture were (at least, in theory). The writings of John Sinclair are not those of a naive stoner who's pre-occupied with sex, drugs and Rock 'n' Roll, but of a well informed and carefully thought out intellectual who is preoccupied with the above. If every hippie/radical was as committed as Sinclair was, The Revolution might just have succeded.

Good reference
The best way to learn to aid and climb big walls with the exception of going out there and doing it. A good reference for beginners. The illustrations are a little corny. Looked like a throw back to the 1970's. Illustrations probably lifted from "Climbing Big Walls," edited by Mike Strassman.

A must for anyone interested in indoor rock gym climbing.
There are only two books that focus on this exciting new activity, this one and "Mock Rock: Guide to Indoor Climbing." I have them both and have read them both. There is no comparison, considering both cost and content. John's book is half the price and covers this very enjoyable form of climbing in a thorough easily read manner. "Mock Rock" spends the last half on interviews with people who climb in gyms. It is mostly fluff. If I ran an indoor climbing gym, I'd stock Long's $6 book. It's all you need to learn about this great new sport
