A MUST READ!
Forget Tom Peters and the other self-aggrandizing gurus and prophets of management whose insights into theoretical and social changes are as deep as a sheet of paper. David Boje has established himself as THE leading thinker in management and organization theory. Almost single-handedly, through his prolific writing and public talks, Boje has transformed the paradigms of the business world. Boje is to business and managment what Carl Sagan was to science: not only a gifted thinker and writer, but also an indispensible popularizer of crucial disciplinary changes. This book, co-authored with prestigious colleagues, brings the business world into contact with feminism, critical theory, ecology (here Gephart offers major contribuions), and postmodernism in a sparkingly lucid manner. By now, every academic discipline has taken a postmodern turn, even business and management. This anthology explains what is at stake and offers the new maps and compasses for negotiating changes in advanced global capitalism and for democratizing the workplace. It is an invaluable teaching resource for all those interested in the paradigm shifts altering the theory and practice of business and management, and is fully accessible to a nonacademic business audience who want to keep apace with current changes. Indeed, anyone interested in postmodern theory and how it is hardly a passing "fad" would profit from understanding how postmodern insights play out in this field. From my own disciplinary standpoint in philosophy, I learned a great deal and I highly recommend this work.

Great Class!
If you want to make the big bucks sueing the deep pockets because there are a lot of stupid people in this country then this is the book and class for you! However, if you subscribe to the outmoded idea that personal responsibility for you actions is a value worth having then I would skip this subject.

A literary collection of angling stories and memoirs.
Seasons of the Angler includes short stories, essays and memoirs by many of our country's most celebrated writers. Stories cover numerous forms of angling, from fly fishing for selective trout and salmon in New England and the West to bait fishing for catfish in the Southwest. When this collection first came out in 1988, the NEW YORK TIMES called it "... the best fishing collection to appear in at least a decade." Said Tom Rosenbauer of the Orvis Company, "Seasons of the Angler is the best fishing anthology I've ever read..." Fly Rod and Reel's Silvio Calabi said, "Seasons of the Angler is a literary gin and tonic..." Authors included are: Tom McGuane, Jim Harrison, Charles Gaines, David Quammen, Bill Barich, Tom Williams, Vance Bourjaily, Russ Chatham, Richard Ford, Ray Carver, Rip Torn, Robert Traver, P. J. O'Rourke, Robert F. Jones and others.

wonderful
This is an excellent selection of Dostoevsky's letters that show how great a writer and man he was. The compassion that developed in him and the faith in his abilities despite the terrible suffering he endured is a lesson in forebearance and inspiration to all. More than anything it shows the creative process involved which is so vital a part of being an artist: a human being interacting with the world for better or worse. Something those obsessed with all forms of literay theory should note and absorb as a tonic to get them out of their stupor.

A very gifted writer with strong sense of humor
This is a most gifted novelist with natural paintbrush. Every book written by Ignatius was thoroughly reseached before put into writing. If you are keen enough in humor, some of the chapters and paragraghs were the most humorous creation ever written by a novelist! Some readers might find this book somehow not so easy to read along since the Cold War was over and CIA is really and actually in deep shit now. But Ignatius never failed to amazed the readers that he could adjust himself pretty well and fast; he proved it in his recent good book, A FIRING OFFENSE.

Clustering Questions Answered!
This book is great if you want to know the specifics of what Sun Cluster 2.2 offers. I don't know why they made this book when Sun Cluster 3.0 is going to be certified with alot of the recent hardware real soon (if not already), but non the less alot of companies still use 2.2 because 3.0 is not certified with certain hardware. This book goes extremely in depth and is great for all you Sun Certified engineers out there who want to know more about the internals of clustering.

A great story on politics and the court
The book's clear style belies a story rich in detail. It gets the readere about as close to plitics and the Supreme Court as he is likely to get. It is particularly strong on the Hughes court and the justices of the period.

Thank god its back . . .
This is one of those books that falls out of print and causes mass panic in graduate student communities as we find ourselves hunting for copies with on-line rare book search engines with no hope for success. Can't find it used when no one will let go of it. Saints be praised, its back. Kaplan's essays 'demonstratives' and 'afterthoughts' are classics and need to be studied by anyone interested in the golden triangle of philosophy (phil. language, mind, and epistemology). Kit Fine's essay on de re modality is excellent, and with articles by Peacocke, Wettstein, Almog, and a host of other friends of Kaplan, no entry will fail to repay serious attention. Do not miss the opportunity to purchase this book.
