REMOVED AND BACK AGAIN!!
I HAD ALL, YES ALL, OF MY SPIDER VIENS REMOVED BY A BEVERLY HILLS COSMETIC DERMOTOLOGIST 5 YEARS AGO WITH THE NEEDLE/SALINE SOLUTION FOR MY LEGS AND LAZER FOR MY FACE. ALL OF THE VEINS ARE BACK!! IN THE SAME PLACE, JUST AS BAD. I THINK I WILL SAVE MY MONEY AND NOT TRY THAT AGAIN!!

I only wish I'd read this sooner...
For a tiny book, this packs a wallop of information. I work in the medical field and have been searching for answers to my questions about varicose and spider veins for a long time. I was pretty surprised to learn that the doctors and nurses I work with were as ignorant as I was! The next step was the medical library. I searched for a book--and all I came up with were medical texts the size of phone books and filled with medical jargon. Being in the medical field, I understand the jargon but I really didn't want to wade through it to get the information I needed. Then I found Get Rid of the Blues on the web. What I like most about it is that the author did tons of research (from those boring books I didn't want to read!) and boiled it down to a "cut-to-the-chase" primer. Thank you, Mary Johnson, for writing this book. I can't begin to tell you what a difference it's made for me.

A MUST READ if you have varicose veins!
I can't say enough about this book! It is so easy to understand, yet packed with solid, science-based information. Thanks for a great read!

Wondeful History of the "Black Hat Brigage"
Nolan's "biography" of the battle-torn Iron Brigade contains the most stirring description of the 1st day of battle at Gettysburg that I have ever read. His account of the bravery and heroism of these men is exceptional. At times I got a bit confused trying to keep track with whom was in charge of which regiment/brigade/division, etc., but this information is vital to the history of the brigade. This book also made me aware of the under-appreciated accomplishments of Lt. Col. Rufus Dawes who should be accorded the same recognition as other noble Union leaders during this battle, such as Chamberlain, Hancock and Warren.

Black Hats and White Gaiters
This is the definitive history of what I consider the best brigade-sized unit in either army during the Civil War. Alan Nolan is THE authority on this famous, hard-hitting outfit and this book is a classic. Interesting, vivid, full of valor, heartbreaking losses, and gallant deeds, it chronicles the Army of the Potomac's sole western unit from its meager beginnings, its first engagement at Brawner's Farm the day before Second Bull Run, where it met and defeated the vaunted Stonewall Brigade in a vicious stand-up fight though outnumbered and still an untried unit of well-trained rookies. through the tough tutelage of veteran artilleryman John Gibbon, its first commander of note, to its moment of truth at Gettysburg, where, suffering almost 70% casualties, it goes into the fire unperturbed and outnumbered, both ruining and capturing opposing Confederate units, coming onto the field behind its tattered regimental flags like a wave of blue doom. I first became interested in the Iron Brigade while reading Bruce Catton's excellent trilogy on the Army of the Potomac. Not until this superb volume, however, did the whole story come out in gripping detail and hard-to-put-down narrative. The author paints a vivid picture of the realities of war, what losses can do to even a veteran, well-trained unit, and the value of personal valor and leadership. This book is highly recommended and should be on the book shelf of every Civil War reenactor, historian, and enthusiast.

The Best Brigade History
This is the best brigade history I have ever read. It sets the standard for other brigade histories.

Improving Performance: How to manage the white space
Excellent book. This is a must read for anyone looking to implement process improvement. Very good examples and an easy to read format.

An up-to-date, current, helpful and practical book
I finally read the entire book. It is an easy read (even for me as a non-native English speaker). Whatever example they use, it fits perfectly our picture; years after the book was written. Whenever they bring up a real life example, it stroke me "yes, this is what makes my life miserable as well". Luckily they have many good answers, where I am confident that they work.

Highly recommended
This is a text book, not a breezy read. It is also a cook book, where the authors tell you not only what needs to be done (common) but how to do it (rare). We are a process improvement consulting company and go through three or four copies a year. We loan them to clients who don't want to give them back.

Reflections on Praise and Worship from a Biblical Perspective
Published in Paperback by Rodney A. Teal (23 March, 2000)
Author: Rodney Alan Teal

Average review score:

A "Must Read"
I encourage every praise team member to read "Reflections on Praise & Worship from a Biblical Experience"; it's a "must read" for developing a better understanding of praise and worship. In addition to defining praise and worship, Author Teal tastefully elaborates on concepts in corporate worship, individual praise and worship, and how to lead corporate praise and worship; the book is a plus for the black experience perspective of praise and worship.

Anointed! Very Much Needed In Our Lives!
This book was well written! I was able to get a full understanding on Praise and Worship! That it is not a "Feeling" but an "ACT"! Rodney is an anointed Minister of the Lord and has written this book with full guidance of the Holy Spirit! A Very Much Awaited and Needed book! Thank You Rodney!

All of God's People Should Read This Book!
Reflections on Praise and Worship from a Biblical Perspective is a wonderful, bible-based book that contains knowledge beneficial not only to those who serve in the music ministry, but, to God's people in general. We all need to understand what is means to praise God and what it means to worship Him. Minister Teal did a magnificent job of explaining that the two, Praise and Worship, truly are separate yet equally important.

I was especially appreciative of the fact that Minister Teal addressed the popular, although misleading, notion that one must have a certain "feeling" in order to praise and/or worship the Lord.

May the Lord bless the distribution of this book so that it is placed in the hands of more of His people that they may be better equipped to Praise and Worship Him!

BoBBy BaseBall
Bobby Baseball is an incredible book. Its about a boy who loves baseball so much he calls himself Bobby Baseball. Bobby wants to become a major league pitcher, but he has to start at his own Mustang league. The middle of the book is very good and it makes it so you won't want to stop reading. The ending is very strange and you will need to make up your own opinion if its good or not!

Awesome baseball bool
When I read Bobby Baseball I knew I would love it. The reason is that I love baseball. I would say this book made me love to read books. I would recommend this book to kids who love to learn about growing up and baseball. This is a great book for ages 9-13. Especially kids who absaloutly love baseball.

A kid who loved Baseball.

This is about a boy who loves baseball and has a dream of being a pitcher in the pros. Then... owning a place in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He got on a team then after three games he quits. Find out why. I give this story a 5 star rating because I like baseball too.

The story of my life made simple
As an IT project manager for a Fortune 500 company supporting online programs and projects, as well as web sites and applications, this book summarizes a day in my life. Not just a must-read, but a godsend for both application developers and UI designers -- two groups who traditionally don't always see eye-to-eye. Can't we all just get along? Yes! This book tells you how, using simple, easy-to-understand language and real-life examples. End users and customers will thank you for reading it.

A book that wont simply collect dust on your bookshelf!
I highly recommend this book as an invaluable resource for anyone currently in, or looking to enter, the instructional design field. The authors have successfully been able to present information, which can often be dry and complex, in a clear and easy to read format.

I have a read many books in this area and they have been a fantastic cure for insomnia. This on the other hand is a compelling read from start to finish. Many of the concepts presented will not be foreign to people that work in this field or in the area of product development. However the logical order and detailed examples work brilliantly to drive home the principles.

Publishers in this area should use this book as a bench mark for design and layout for its susinct and logical passage. Thank you very much Ellen and Allan for such a useful tool!

Excellent UI design book. Programmers should also read it.
First let me tell you this is an interaction design (or user interface design) book, since the title of the book doesn't do this job well.

This is one of the books that have great impact on me. I agree with the review written by Kevin Mullet (printed on the book's back cover) that the ideas presented in this book are a bit "dangerous". It is dangerous because they are not the common practice yet. If people want to follow these ideas, they need to have changes. Changes are always dangerous to many people.

Those "dangerous" ideas include:

- Build fewer features but build them well. (The current practice is to build as many features as possible so that marketers can list those features for promotion. Is a product easy to use? Everyone can claim that since there are no criteria for such a claim.)

- User interface design should drive the system architecture, not the other way around. (Modifying system architecture is always hard. If we want to support a certain interaction afterwards, the architecture will probably can't support cleanly, if at all.)

- Technology should be used for user needs, but not for technology's own sake. (Visual design should also be treated the same.)

Last but not least, this book shows that user interface design is actually science but not art. We don't need a graphic design degree to be an interaction designer.

Wow, What an Outfit!
Another wonderful volume of Oh My Goddess! In this book Urd gets her Goddess License suspended because of her constant lying, and what does this mean? It means that she is not allowed to use her powers. Meanwhile, the demon Mara is busy trying to make an urn named Mao za Haxon open its eyes, and what a stupid looking urn it is also. Mara is trying to awaken the urn so that it will revive the Lord of Terror, and of course the Lord of Terror is Urd, whom we find out is in fact half demon. But is she really the Dark Lord, or is she just a pawn. Read this manga!

Book 6 -- Lord of Terror
This book contains a single story -- the "Lord of Terror". However, it is broken down into parts. The first part sets up the tale with Urd losing her goddess license and Mara summoning the Lord of Terror -- Urd! The second part has Urd showing her demonic mastery over Mara, then destroying the Morisato residence depsite the defence of Belldandy and Skuld.

The third part has Urd starting the Ultimate Destruction Program (UDP) to destroy everything while Belldandy unleashes her full powers. The fourth section has Urd summoning Fenrir who becomes the UDP while the goddesses summon Midgard to defeat the giant wolf. The fifth part has Urd free from evil but powerless while the UDP transfers itself first to Midgard, then to Keiichi. The final part has Keiichi possessed by the UDP and forcing Skuld to build a device to help it destroy the world while Belldandy makes a choice.

The humor level in this book is much lower than in previous OMG manga, but this story is very interesting & well written. It is cool seeing Belldandy unleashed (within limits).

Bottom line: Certainly this is the best volume to this point in the series despite the limited humor factor. OMG fans will have to have this. Fans of comic arts should appreciate this. Those looking for a fairly wholesome, light reading material shouldn't overlook this title. Be warned you might not put the book down until you've completed it!

A modern-day classic
"Terrible Master Urd" has it all -- epic battle, world destruction, and rules being broken. The best part? No stereotypical mechs, starships, or lasers. This is straight up, magic-on-magic combat. Belldandy is noble and beautiful as ever, as the last scene of the manga shows. Although Urd and Skuld provide moments of comic relief, they also have central roles in the plot. Don't be fooled into thinking that the whole story revolves around Urd -- this is a classic battle between good and evil with a 90's twist.

Despite the seriousness of the story, it still carries the humorous undercurrent that is Fujishima's trademark. Just when it gets a little too serious, there's a gag around the corner that reminds you, "Hey, it's only a story." The plot is so perfectly balanced, it reads better than some Bible stories.

One last note: Make sure you have time to read the whole book when you start. "Terrible Master Urd" flows so well from chapter to chapter, you'll want to read it all in one sitting.

A must-read for inspiration
Unlike most "religious" category books, this book lacks the preachy quality that causes most readers to not absorb the text. This book insightfully breaks down barriers between different religious beliefs and simply brings forth the universal belief in a higher power. The people that Larry King and Rabbi Katsof chose to interview are made more personable and are made more tangible through their everyday prayers, which are similar to ours, and their quest to be closer to God. This book would make a fabulous holiday gift that is sure to please a recipient of any religious background.

Simply Powerful
Mr. King delved into the foundation of Spirituality and Religion and made simple an otherwise complex and controversial issue. The book focuses on the individual and his or her communication with God, while setting aside religious beliefs. I would like to recommend to friends who are too formal about prayers and to those who maybe agnostic such as Larry King in his book.

Powerful Prayer a Must Read
Powerful Prayers is a Must Read Reading Powerful Prayers provides you amazingly simple examples of commuincating with God through personal everyday prayer. It opens the door to an otherwise complex arena of thought. The discussion between Larry King and Rabbi Katsof is sensitive and thought provoking. The interviews add incredible depth to the discussion. They also legitimize informal prayer, and the many different ways people have found to communicate with their respective spiritual beings. I recommend this book to everyone who is open to exlporing their individual communication with God. It is a must read. It has changed my entire understanding or paradigm in regards to my relationship with God outside of a house of worship.

OUTSTANDING for the intermediate coach
Absolutely terrific book -- spanning all aspects of team and individual play. I own a number of books -- usually too basic or far too advanced. Hargreaves' book is exceptional in that it takes soccer coaching to a high quality level in terms of both theory and tactics. Probably not the best "first" book for a beginning coach, but great for Under-10 and over (and perhaps U8 advanced play). I'm back to buy additional copies for my assistant coaches. My highest, 5-star recommendation.

A better book than I thought originally
In re-reading my review of this book, I realized that it sounded somewhat lukewarm. Actually, this is a very good book for beginner and intermediate youth soccer coaching. There are a lot of useful tips on technique, and a very good section on defense. Weaknesses remain in advanced areas such as how to deal with set plays and offensive movement

A better book than I thought originally

I agree with Rick Siler. In re-reading my review of this book, I realized that it sounded rather lukewarm. Actually, this is one of the best overall books on youth soccer coaching that I have found so far. There are a lot of useful tips on technique, and a very good section on defense.
