wonderful
I love this book. The fotos are exellent and the quality of print is good too. I also liked Alta Colombia.

Breathtaking Garden Splendor
This book displays the manicured gardens of the privileged and the magnificent natural beauty of simple country farm houses. It also includes outstanding photographs of titan trees and lush tropical vegetation. However, a special quality of this book is that it captures the careful planning of home and garden in Colombia. Some of the gardens in "Gardens of Colombia" are very old and offer wonderful views of mature walkways, paths and streams. My favorite pages are those that show unique Colombian courtyard gardens. In short, this Villegas editores publication is a paradise of garden landscapes and a perfect coffee table book.

Insightful
This is book includes 337 simple reminders of how to achieve success in daily life. These reminders/habits are inspirational and insightful. Thank you for putting it all together in one book.

Everyone Should Read!
Wow! This book has given me so many simple techniques to help me accomplish my goals. Instead of having to read a huge book to get motivated I can pick a few ideas from this book and get started immediately. Everyone should read this book!

Great resource
This little book contains numerous and succinct suggestions on how I can approach and live life--both in the daily here-and-now and the more far-reaching time frames. Its free form can take you in directions you may not expect.

I particularly like how it is practical yet philosophical and can even cause deep reflective thinking. It is also a great resource for quotations and presentations.

Very well written
This is an easy to understand book. I learned a great deal from it. The author knows his stuff, and wrote the book so you don't have to have a great deal of knowledge to follow along. I would recommend this to anyone who deals with injuries, or who has an injury or pain and wants to learn more about it.

Invaluable resource guide!
Ben Benjamin has been my favorite bodywork writer for a long time. I read all of his columns in the American Massage Therapy Association Journal. This book has been thoroughly used so that the cover has even fallen off! Keep up the great writing Ben! Having authored "The Healing Art of Sports Massage", I have a specific need to know things for my practice to be successful!

a great reference book
This is a good book if you are experiencing any pain. It will discribe the problem you are having and how to treat it. It could even save you from going to the doctors office and spending unessesary money if you are sure of your problem and can treat it yorself. I enjoy having this book around. It is a good reference book.

Excellent!
This is a great book. I was able to apply what I learned very quickly to develop a Forms application. The labs and exercise answers are very detailed and easy to understand. It is the best Forms book by far for those who want hands-on, practical experience. I feel confident that I can tackle more complex assignments because I have a firm grounding based on this book and its excellent companion video CD. My advice is, don't spend $1000 or more for a class - buy this book!

This is the Oracle Forms training solution.
I have read several books on Oracle Forms development and this is by far the clearest and easiest to learn from. Oracle Forms is not the best environment to develop in, but this course and the included workbook take you through step by step and provide feedback in the form of detailed answeres. Further, the problems in this book and solutions actually WORK unlike other books on the subject. It is well worth the... Thank you for this setup, it has cleared up a lot of questions and provided the steps needed for developing working forms!

Fantástico
Es muy bueno, muy didáctico. No es necesario ningún conocimiento previo de Oracle Forms para sacarle el máximo partido. El precio es un poco alto, pero la compra ha merecido la pena. Me ha servido de gran ayuda.

A must for anyone that finds this book
perfect and beautiful. Any time you want to visit a world of difference, beauty -go to this book. I would reccomend this book to any serious cofee table book enthusiast. Weather you have been to Colombia or not, you will like it!

A fantastic photo expose to this diverse country.
Probably no country in South America has a greater geographical variety than Colombia. In 2002 I spent a month exploring Colombia (although the terrorists-FARC problem seriously restricted my movement). "Panoramic Colombia" helped me to remember, vividly, what I had seen and get a glimpse the many parts of Colombia I needed to return to see.

Using a roundshot, 360 degree camera, Villegas has done a great job of showcasing the cities and natural wonders of Colombia. Each color photograph captures mountains, jungles, coastal areas, rainforests, moorlands, towns and vibrant cities. Each geographical region is delineated by a map (a nice touch). The reproduction of color is a notch below excellent. Most of the two page panoramic photos are 30 inches long, however, there are twenty photos that fold out into three pages, over 45 inches long!

"Panoramic Colombia" is an excellent introduction to Colombia. A great book for anyone who is going to visit, or who has visited, this diverse country. "Panoramic Colombia" would make a fantastic gift for anyone from Colombia or interested in this Latin American gem. Highly Recommended

More than Photos
We purchased the Spanish version of this book while in Colombia. It had been recommended to us by other Colombians who felt it was the best photographic representation thus far of their country. The content is spectacular in that it captures pristine landscapes, beautiful seascapes and candid events. The photo quality itself is slightly imperfect in sharpness and lighting (sometimes the faces are in shadows), but this is understandable with the use of the panoramic lens. I have mostly enjoyed the corresponding eloquent citations from authors describing their impressions of, feelings about or experiences in Colombia.

Great book for anyone looking for "something more"
This is an excellent anthology of essays by many accomplished scholars (see the list of names above). Some are psychotherapists, some former ministers, and some psychiatrists; many are simply inspirational writers. This is a calming book with eclectic selections that will suit most tastes.

This is a book you will refer to over and over again!
I picked up this book when I was at a low point in my life. It awakened me to a new way of seeing - both myself and the world around me. Handbook for the soul is a wonderful collection of short essays, by various people, all with the same message. It is one of my most favourite books and I highly recommend it!

Thought provoking essays on the soul.
Anything Richard Carlson lays his hands on is worth considering reading. Each essay offers a philsophical view worth pondering guiding the perseptive reader closer to the inner self. The wealth of information well surprasses the few dollars spent on this compilation.

THE ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRL BOOK
I rated this book five stars.
Why?
I enjoyed reading about how
they all felt about each other.
What I really liked was they finally
got record deal.
The character I liked the most was Chanel
because she was the nice and pretty type.
So that's why I rated this book five stars.

The bomb diggity!
Of all the books I've read I have to say this is the best. The series alone is great! In this book Galleria tries to be the leader of the group and bosses them around. So Chanel tells her it's not happening. (But I like the old Aqua and Angie better, They are featured in the series 1-4)

A very educational book.
I needed to get this book for a Deaf Perspectives class at my college, but now that I have read it I am glad. The book gives a good idea of what it like to grow-up as a Deaf person and how to deal with it. I think this book is good for anyone who has just become deaf or has just learned that their child is deaf. It will help them understand what life is going to be like and also that it is not the end of the world.

An accurate look at Deaf culture
I am a Sign Language interpreter and my boyfriend of two years is Deaf. I read this book for a Deaf culture class and was fascinated by it. Written from a very Deaf perspective, this book is full of things that hearing people never think of but which I see nearly every day in both my personal and professional life.

This book should be read by anyone who has a Deaf child. It's a real eye-opener. Parents of Deaf children seldom get the kind of help they need at an early enough stage.

most informative, accurate book on Deaf culture I've found
I have a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Studies from Boston University, and I think that this book is readable, informative and accurate in a way that sets it apart from the many books appearing now about Deafness and Deaf culture. It's for everyone: Deaf people, students, parents who have a Deaf child, and people wishing to learn more about the subject. I enjoyed it because the facts weren't hidden behind jargon and the personal experiences of the authors came through strongly. This should be the first book a person picks up when wanting to learn about Deafness.

The Most Dangerous Man in America: Scenes from the Life of Benjamin Franklin

For most of his life Ben Franklin was a loyal British
subject. He also spent more time in England than any of the "founding fathers". This is a biography but also the history of how the British lost America thru their own stupidity. Franklin had a logical & forward thinking mind. He knew that America would not be a colony forever. That America could be ruled for much longer by a small island accross the the ocean was not reasonable. But that would happen long after he was dead. His coming of age politically was The Albany Plan of Union in 1754 which dicusses such proposals as uniting the various states & a constitution. This was all in the context of remaining in the British Empire. This book is his story of disaffection & final break with the mother country. Truly America's first world wide celbrity.

The Most Dangerous Man In America, Scenes from B. Franklin..
Most illuminating, well written ,historical accuracy not found in our educatonal institutions. The views of Franklin's life are incisive. The work demonstrates that he, as select other men, had the vision, the education , the conviction and the ability to follow his thoughts through to fruition. Mr. Franklin's thought about the need for a 'constitution' began its development in the 1740s, and ended in 1789 at the Phildadelphia Convention. Miss Bowen alludes to this man's quite complicated personal and private life. Franklin's liasons arte tastefully mentioned as his style of life is clearly presented. His wish for privacy is highlighed although he was outgoing and social. He remained faithful and loyal to his wife in spirit, with affection and support throughout his long married life. The emphasis of this text is on Ben Franklin's many contributions to the development of this Country, and his wisdom in the nascent field of science. He was a fierce independent thinker who cared out "these united states".

A book not to be ignored and to be put before out senior adolecents as a 'must' read.

Best Biographer Ever
This is one of the best written books on an historical subject I have ever read.

Psychology : an introduction
Published in Unknown Binding by W.C. Brown ()
Author: Benjamin B. Lahey
Amazon base price: $
Used price: $4.95
Average review score:

Psychology an Introduction By Lahey
Execellent, very straight to the point Gives you an understanding about the pschology in its simplistic view.

Informative and Enjoyable Textbook
We used this text for my Introduction to Psychology class. The book is very well organized and allows anyone to easily possess a grasp of the fundementals of psychology.

This was the only one my textbooks for my first semester that I actually didn't mind reading. Lahey's prose is very readable and he includes several antecdotes to add flavor to the material.

I would recomend this one to anyone who has an academic or personal interest in psychology. If you are a student, the book is an additional plus because it is available in paperback, which greatly cuts down on cost.

Psychology: An Introduction
I teach Psychology courses, and this text is great for the student and instructor! Even students who are not interested in psychology learn a lot from this text. It's written in an easy to read, 'grab your curiosity' way. It's thorough, fascinating to the new and experienced reader of psychology. Great text! It's updated regularly, so for the newest information, you've got the right book....
