Over the past 10 years when I have been out giving seminars on menopause and osteoporosis, and now on estrogen, women and men would come forward to ask me about the subjects they still perceive to be "taboo." Subjects came up about lack of libido, erectile dysfunction, sexual boredom in a long term relationship, masturbation, extra marital affairs, safe sex, safer sex, no sex----I could go on and on. And so in addition to the 35,000 questionnaires I had already used for my books on menopause and osteoporosis, I distributed another 6700 questionnaires about our midlife sex lives.

The responses were illuminating, astounding, helpful. My responders were open, honest, and clear in their desire to improve their intimate relationships. I interviewed couples, singles, both gay and straight individuals. I interviewed women and men of many ages and in many stages of life.

Further, I ran focus groups in my home where the information flowed freely as each person present was aware that no one in that group would repeat anything heard there. Those interviewees, those present in the focus groups are represented throughout the book. They are real people, whose occupations and locales have been changed greatly in order to protect their privacy.

I am very proud of this book and have received letters, calls, and e-mails from women and men all over the world who felt they had found their way on the path to quality relationships after reading the book.

Right now there are sixteen players who have hit over 500 home runs. Each one has a nice write-up and stories that are very enjoyable to read. Fifteen are retired or deceased and one is still playing.

I have always dreamed of meeting the 16 baseball players that have hit over 500 home runs. Now I realize that meeting Ruth, Ott, Mantle and Matthews would be impossible that's why I'm glad to have a copy of this book.

This is a masterful study of the political and economic undercurrents of the American Revolution. Abraham Clark, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New Jersey, was an advocate for the middle and working classes. He fought against privilege in every form, often pitting himself against the most powerful, and wealthy, leaders of the Revolution. He feared that America would establish a country in which the domination of the poor by the wealthy would continue. He was also concerned that "new sources of tyranny" would "arise from American centers of power." His economic ideas and initiatives centered on "leveling the playing field" and are still worth considering. Most of his work was in this area, both on the national and state level. Called an "excentric genius" by one of his enemies, Clark's actions were extremely popular among the people of his district. He was held publicly accountable for every major bill which passed during his tenure in the state legislature. As a member of Congress, he was an ardent supporter of James Madison's policies and measures in the area of commerce.

This is a great book. If you are serious about having a strong, victorious Christian walk, get this. It contains strong, challenging, Biblical truths and insights and teaches you how to apply them. I would recomend this for any Bible study. It has questions at the end of each chapter that help you retain and examine the material. Mr. Kenyon doesn't beat around the bush. Warning! If you are a spiritual wimp and refuse to change, or are to scared to, don't read this book. You might find out why you aren't bearing any fruit in your life and need therapy or something. If you are willing to change, and act on what you read in this book, it will be one of the greatest tools you can have in developing a strong foundation of who you are in Christ.

This is true "meat and potatoes" bible study. It's challenging, but so nurturing that you will want to complete each lesson again and again to be certain you missed nothing of it's message. Praise God for such a wonderful book!

The Amish are always an interest to my visiting friends and family. Amish Ways is a wonderful gift to give them to keep their memories alive and to show others when they return home.

This hardcover makes you feel like you're right inside an Amish home. I loved the home birth, their education in a one-room school and the way they have church and lunch at somebody's house. I never realized all the ways they shared in their community. The author and photographer must have spent a lot of time with the Amish to do such a good book. The beautiful pictures made me want to visit the Amish

I just got the cookbook, and the buttermilk fried chicken is to die for! As a hunter, there are no fish and game recipes around that compare to the ones found in the Arkansas Classic Country Cookbook! I just can't wait until my wife finds the dessert section.

Draper's gifts, even in these her only recordings, made when she was seventy, shine out to us across the decades and remain the only real examples of her in action. The Italian Lesson on Tape One is stunning - a bravura display of humour, speed, detail, insight and timing. A huge inspiration and would that she were better known today. Play it to all your friends and watch them fall under the spell of the magnificent Ruth Draper!

Ruth Draper was a performance artist and actress of the 40's and 50's. She performed solo, spinning out fabulous characters and elaborate monologues in which she created many characters and subtle situations. No one has ever duplicatd her technique. This tape gives the listener a vivid idea of her remarkable gifts. Her "Italian Lesson" in particular is a tour de force. Two thumbs way up!

I remember this reading this book in 7th grade and i will never forget it. It was writen with pride and dignity you felt that the great BAMBINO was a hero and he was to most people. I really recommend this book to baseball lovers and people who are interested with this topic. Oh Guernsey Van Riper and Seymour Fleishman did a excellent job writting and illustrating this book.

I read this book a couple years ago, but haven't forgot it. It's great if you like learning about sports heros or baseball. I remember most baseball stuff. I even remember that 1 month after his first wife died in an apartment fire, Babe Ruth married again. I learned that from this book. Would you like to learn more? Then buy this book!!!

"The Battered Child" presents a clear, strong overview of child abuse: its origins, its legal history, its effects on society and its impact on the child. I would definately recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about the dynamics of abuse!

Excellent textbook! Should be in every school, therapist office, hospital, clinic and child protection agency library. If I could only buy one, this would be it! This is an excellent companion book to Body Language of the abused child! Buy them both- you will not regret it!
