MUST READING FOR DREAM BUILDERS!
After spending thousands of dollars and hours in countless seminars, books, tapes, and videos, on goal setting and success, at last, I found the ultimate guide to building dreams into reality - ANATOMY OF SUCCESS. This is not just another book on motivation or pop psychology like so many out there. This is a comprehensive, research-supported, no-nonsense guide to what one needs to achieve goals that are aligned with one's beliefs and values. It is great for procrastinators and anyone suffering from either fear of failure or fear of success. I am recommending this book to all educators and students that I come in contact with - as a trainer. If you want to really build your dreams and not just talk about them - get this book today and you will understand why I speak of it with such enthusiam and high regard.

greatest success manual
This book is the author's masterpiece. It contains more information in 300 pages than any other book in the area of personal development. Extracting from various fields and disciplines and following through with great detail, examples and learning techniques, this book is the greatest success manual for anyone.

An outstanding book for achieving your goals!
I found that "Anatomy of Success" plots a very exacting formula that, unlike anything else I've ever read, gets to the heart of most all areas about which we think and act, in an extremely organized fashion. This helps with regard to empowering our beliefs, managing our time, building self-confidence and self-awareness, etc. These are especially useful in helping us to turn our dreams into realities; the foundation on which my business is based.

Yipee!
This book was a lot of fun to read even though we're not expecting!

FINALLY IN PRINT AGAIN! THE BEST BOOK EVER!
I am so thrilled to see that this fantastic book is back in print. It is the ideal book to read to a child when a little sibling is on the way. Not only is the book delightful, charming, and sweet, but it perfectly captures the essence of family love, and delves beautifully into the psyche of the pregnant woman. It is a favorite among children in my son's day care center, and as a child deveopment expert myself, I strongly recommend it.

About Time!
About Time! About time that they reissue this sweet and touching book. About time for this baby to be born.

I purchased this book in 1988. I found the illustrations and story to be charming even at the age of 18 and many years before even thinking of having a child. Then, when I was pregnant years later, I pulled out the already ragged book and cried over the anticipation to hug and kiss my own baby --- something that the baby in this book finds to be most rewarding --- once she decides to Come Out! I have read this funny story to 3 year olds expecting a baby brother/sister of their own. I have loaned this book out to all that I love who find themselves expecting. Everyone finds both tears and a smile (even a giggle)here. I'm going to stock up for baby showers!

Building a Project-Driven Enterprise: How to Slash Waste and Boost Profits Through Lean Project Management

Author: Ronald Mascitelli
Amazon base price: $39.95

Add another tool to your toolbelt!
This book describes how every task and activity within a project should create value. After a few chapters of theory and laying a foundation, the author describes twelve "Lean Methods". Each is reviewed in detail and then summarized in a one-page "Method at a Glance." Each "at a Glance" is broken into six sections: Overview, Waste-Slashing Benefit, When to Apply, Who Can Use It and Typical Implementation Profile. Photocopy these twelve pages when you finish the book to always remind yourself about "keeping lean."

After reading Building a Project-Driven Enterprise and learning about Lean Project Management, you will have another tool in your tool belt. Use it as you would other tools, such as the theory of constraints, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, Balance Scorecard, or the Project Management Book of Knowledge. There is much to use here while not being burdened with monotone, textbook dribble.

The book is easy and yes, fun to read. It is peppered with case studies, anecdotes, and stories, well written in a light, conversational tone. The author asks you questions throughout to make you think and form your own answers prior to reading his approach. I believe anyone in business will find value in this book, but project managers will relate closely with the waste-slashing ideas.

A Prescription for Projects
Author Ronald Mascitelli has done an excellent job of explaining complex project management concepts in a language familiar to professionals versed in manufacturing concepts and techniques. Mascitelli's writing style is conversational and clear. He holds the reader's attention by sprinkling the book with intriqauing and seemingly spontaneous asides that might spring from one of his seminars or training classes. If you and your organization implement just one or two of the twelve lean methods Mascitelli outlines, you will be well on your way to substantial productivity increases.

Achieve both efficiency and high standards of excellence
Building A Project-Driven Enterprise: How to Slash Waste and Boost Profits Through Lean Project Management by project management expert and Certified Management Consultant Ronald Mascitelli is a no-nonsense, go-getter book offering straightforward, "user friendly" advice on how to best minimize costs and maximize performance in project management. From twelve different ways to simplify and improve decision-making processes to step-by-step methodology for reducing wasted effort, Building a Project-Driven Enterprise paints a broad canvas of useful and thought-provoking ways to succeed in today's driven business world. Enhanced with extensive Notes, References, and an Index, Building A Project-Driven Enterprise is highly recommended reading for anyone wanting to achieve both efficiency and high standards of excellence in their particular entrepreneurial or corporate project.

southern mountain charm
As I read Charity's reward I was reminded of where I had grown up and the ways of small towns in the foothills of east tennessee. I enjoyed the storyline and found it easy to follow.
Many of the characters in this book define what small communities of the era are all about. I think whoever reads this novel will ultimately find rememberances of their own family, present and past. I recommend this read to anyone who is interested in family, reminicing, and southern charm.

The Old South Captured
Mr. Blaylock has managed to capture & describe what is was like to grow up in the old South. He uses very clear and understandable vocabulary to accomplish this journey. You will understand the "Clanish" nature of small rural communities & their most human natures. From the kind, caring Will to the Outsider Elizabeth you will come to know each character personally. While reading Charity's Reward you will swear Mr. Blaylock came to your hometown to chose his characters. Each is very real & believable.

Charity's Reward
A thought provoking book that encourages you to look at life choices and the consequences they have. A sort of mixture of a Francine River's book meets Barbara Kingsolver's The Poison Wood Bible. I picked it up and didn't put it down until I closed the last page.

A Guide Like No Other- Bradygames' Best
About two or three years ago, I bought Mario RPG used without the manual. Then I got this Book. This book is the Bible of Mario RPG players' Guides. The strategies are excellent, The detailed descriptions of the areas and characters (although the Bestiary is a little off) in the game are as useful as they get, and it outshines even Nintendo's official player's guide in terms of usefulness. Although yes, it is in black and white as one fellow reviewer said, this small fault is nothing compared to the sheer volume of information contained in this book. If you only buy one player's guide for this game, let this be the one. It'll be the ONLY one you'll ever need.

The BEST Super Mario RPG guide
This is such a cool guide. I love it so much. So good with boss strategies, all the strategies and helps you out a lot. I still play the SNES but this the best of the super mario RPG guides. Even if it is B&W the only thing that doesn't make sense is the Bestiary it isn't complete but anyways it don't matter, if you follow the walkthrough it gets you through the game more then Nintendo powers guide did for me.

Pretty good.
I learned a ton, and I really enjoyed beating the game with the guide! I'm going to try to beat the game without the guide. =^P!

The best satire of discipline and technocracy
Sometimes, the most serious and deep messages are hidden in the form of light and funny literature (one book that jumps to mind is "Gulliver's Travels"). In this simply genial novel, the Peruvian military has a problem: the garrisons of the Amazonic regions are very short of women and feeling extremely sexual, so rapes are mounting. This, of course, is bad PR for the Army and a real problem for the chiefs. They decide to create the "Special Service", a well-oredered and efficient ring of disciplined prostitutes who will satisfy the soldiers' needs and erradicate the problem of rapes. Who is the perfect man to be in charge of the Service?: Captain Pantaleon Pantoja, a model solider, who lives with his lovely wife and his mother-in-law. Pantaleon is a sober and righteous guy, enemy of prostitutes, bars and fights. He is also the most efficient manager of the Army. He is dismayed at the task but, always disciplined, puts all his intelligence and efficiency to it. The learning process proves problematic for his marriage: since Pantaleon knows nothing about the night life, he has to learn it by visiting sordid brothels and buying drinks to informants. Of course, when he starts arriving home in the morning, extremely drunk, his wife gets very disappointed. But he convinces her of the importance and required sacrifices of his new mission. Eventually, the Special Service becomes the most efficient branch of the military, and it gets famous. The very funniest parts of the book are the official reports where Pantaleon informs to his superiors of the successes and problems he has in his job. The official language describing absurd and outrageous situations is just great. Of course, things get out of control, with dramatic but funny consequences.

The plot is rapidly developed, with the surfacing of a sect of fanatics as its counterpoint. These sect crucifies people and animals, and the story includes a harsh criticism of the Church as parallel to the Army. The reader wonders: why is it that Vargas Llosa decided to intertwine a satire of military discipline with another one of religious fanatism? And the conclusion is that it is an extremely smart and witty novel, hilarious and troubling at the same time. The characters are really, really great, including Panta, his wife, his mother-in-law, some of the prostitutes, and some of the officers. Great book by a great contemporary author.

ummm good
A tale of prostitues and jungle. Stay clear of the arc for crucifiction jump former dog channels.

Original and extremely funny
If you want to obtain a flavor of Peru this is a must-read. You could summarize this book by saying that it is a sex-related excellent comedy. However, I think this book is much more than this. Vargas Llosa provides a wonderful profile of our idiosincracy, values, and fears. In addition the style is agile. Vargas Llosa tells the story using military communications, radio programs, and personal letters from different characters so that you get everybodies' point of view. I strongly recommend it.

Essential with one quibble
I've given this must-have book four stars for one striking omission. Smith does identify every tune to reach Chicago's WLS weekly music survey by title and artist, along with the debut and peak dates, highest position reached and weeks on the survey, along with the top songs of each year and the entire decade. There is also a section collecting the data from the WLS R&B chart that ran for a few months in late 1964. What is missing is a listing of the number ones week-by-week or at the very least some indication of how many weeks a given number one hit spent at the top. Still, this is an essential reference for those whose interest in the charts extends beyond merely the national Hot 100. I hope Mr. Smith puts out a 1980s volume to go along with this volume and the companion 1970s volume, and that some other people with access to source material get the same idea and do similar works on some of the other regional markets.

"Gotta Get It"
This is a "Gotta Get It!!". Every once in awhile a book comes along for the music fan or record/music collector that's a "Gotta Get It". This is certainly one of them. Did you love WLS in the 1960's? Are you a music/record collector? Are you a music survey enthusiast? If you answered "yes" to any one of those questions, then this book is a "Gotta Get It"!! It's very easy to use and very concise. I'm a record/music collector (and have been for many many years) and I always want to grab a book and find the precise information that I need very quickly. This will give you precise WLS chart information from the 1960 through 1969. In short, it's a "Gotta Get It" and Gotta Get It NOW!!!

Ron Smith's book rocks!
Mr. Smith has done a great job with this book. It's a must-read for any Chicagoan who appreciates our diverse local music tastes and longs for the nostalgia of what is one of the great radio markets in the U.S. WLS-AM in Chicago was indeed 'One of America's two great radio stations'. And Ron Smith is one of America's great music resources.

An Honest Story about Honesty and Hard Work
Let me begin by saying that I am a big fan of Eve Bunting and admire her for writing about people who otherwise receive little attention in stories. "A Day's Work" is worthy of that reputation. It is a story of day laborers from Mexico; moreover, it describes how the whole family pulls together to make ends meet (a theme that Francisco Jimenez beautifully explores in "The Circuit/Cajas de Carton). Though it's a simple story, there are several surprise twists. As with her other stories, Eve Bunting tells this one with her characteristic sensitivity without indulging in, you know, the mushy stuff. This book will enable children and adults alike to take a new look at honesty and, as the title says, a day's work.

Good Book!
This story describes an American lifestyle that most of us will not experience. It avoids criticism of that life and presents a situation in which honest people are trying to survive. The author provides a human face to the characters. Very nice.

A must-have for your multicultural collection
Beautifully illustrated, this heart-warming story is an excellent real-aloud for grades 2-5. Many themes in the book include honesty, hard-work is rewarded and family. I love the fact that no stereo-type Hispanic characters are in the book.

Great Book
Wonderful book, if you like Hillerman, you will really enjoy this book. Anyone I recommended this book to loved it, and looked for more by this author.

The Death of Bernadette Lefthand
First and foremost, this is a story which is not filled with stereotypes. The cultures of the Navajo, Hopi, and the Apache are well portrayed. I was most surprised at the topic of the book in light of the fact that it is considered taboo to the Navajo. I supposed that's why the author is not of that tribe. Nevertheless, it was thoroughly entertaining, educational, and just plain well written. It deserves all the awards and accolades it has received.

Fascinating
With "The Death of Bernadette Lefthand," Ron Querry demonstrates an amazing accuracy for detail. His understanding of subtle differences between two Nations - the Apache and the Navajo - bring his characters to life. The juxtaposition of these modern indigenous sub-cultures takes place within the confines of an equally contradictory landscape - the brutally beautiful American Southwest. If you are interested in the people, cultures, and landscape of the Southwest, you shouldn't miss this novel.
