Exceptional guide
My 8 month old son was diagnosed with CP at 4 months (though we knew there were issues from the beginning due to birth injury). I started reading this book a month ago and am so happy I found it listed as a resource in the book "Children with Cerebral Palsy". The emotions the author feels and shares are so similar and validating that it could not help but to reassure me and to help me not feel so alone. I have wanted to try alternative therapies from the beginning and had only been exposed to cranio sacral therapies. This book is invaluable in that she has already done so much of the research and shares her experiences that it cuts my time down in half and gives me starting points to begin my own research. So many of the things that she shares I had not heard of, but knew in my heart had to exist - she put a name to them. Her ongoing changing feelings and Seth's changes give me an indicator of things to come and things to watch out for, hopefully side-stepping some of the problems she experienced during her journey. I am so grateful for this book!!

An invaluable book
A great writer and parent who paved the way for many with this moving book. An extraordinary resource for parents seeking help children with special needs and for adults who have special needs who also want to live full lives.

Commonsense
I have read Michelle Kwan's 'The Winning Attitude'T'wice!
While I no longer belong to the age group that the writing's are aimed at, not for a long........time.I nevertheless was
impressed by the writings. I fail to understand why anyone who has read this book would consider it suitable only for children. One only has to keep up with the News to know of the problems that prevail in communities among all age groups to see how the principals laid out in this book, which I found to be both educational and inspirational, could prove valuable to anyone who takes the time study and follow the guidelines therein.I would suggest this book could be used in schools if not as part of the text certainly in civic classes!
With the author as an ''outstanding role model'' who lives by the
very same rules I could only imagine this book which is full of
''commonsense'' as having a positive influence on schoolgoers,
teachers and parents alike.

Michelle's winning attitude - young and fresh
It is a bit annoying that amazon places it for age 9 - 12 and that reviewers say it's good for their children. (not good for themselves?) Though the book is full of 'childish' languages, the winning attitude here is full of youth and refreshing, unlike those written by professional psychiatrists - I'm not saying they are not good. I recommend this book to all who love Michelle.

I agree, this book is great!
Being a competitive skater myself, it's sometimes hard, especially on bad days, to keep perspective and to keep going. Michelle's book is GREAT! It really helps you to focus and get back on track -- and stay there! For anyone who works hard at anything they love to do, at age 5 or 105!

great
i have this book and letter art and i use them together to make magnets and bookmarks to sell. i even helped a friends mom write names on waterbottles for their basketball team!

All sorts of ideas for you!
I really liked this book because there's so many ideas
of how to write and design letters and paper. My favourite
chapter is Chapter 1 and 2. Chapter 1 is how to design
words, for example, for hot, use red to write the word hot
and draw fire around it. Chapter 2 teaches you how to write
Top Secret letters. There's codes, hidden messages, and
dots with letters. Other chapters are interesting too. This
book has six chapters in all. Chapter 3 is Paper Capers,
with all sorts of ways to write letters to friends. Chapter
4 is called Writing from the Road. When you are traveling,
this book teaches you interesting ways to write about your
trip to your friend or others. Chapter 5's title is Super
Stationery. You can make pretty paper and interesting
envelopes. The last chapter, Chapter 6, is called Signing
Off with Style. The author show you many ways to sign a
letter. But you'll have to read this book to see everything!

THIS SPICY BOOK
if you are one of those girls that when they're bored they like to draw, paint, invent envelopes, and find out the different kinds of I dots you can make, this book is for you. This book has an explosion of imagination and creativity I liked it vey much is HIGHLY recommended

Wow! Get your fill of intrigue...
This book is a wonderfully written book with many twists and turns in the story line. It definately is not what I'm used to reading. This is my second Laura Dehart Young book. I enjoyed them both. However, it's length left me feeling happy that I bought this book used. Pretty short. But worth what I paid for it. (Approx. half price)

What A Great Story!
Once again, Laura DeHart Young has written a superb, enjoyable novel! I especially loved the character names the wonderfully surprising ending. It's hard to find lesbian romance novels that are of this calibur. This author is someone that is quite talented. I hope she continues to write for many years to come!

Really Entertaining
This book was really entertaining. I liked the setting (in Nantucket)and the characters seemed very genuine. They were strong women and I liked that. The plot was well developed and you could get a sense of the characters and what they were all about. The book is a mystery romance adventure and there are all kinds of twists and turns if you like that kind of book. The ending surprised me a lot. The only complaint I have is that the story ended too soon. I wished the book had been longer.

Creative, thought provoking, disturbing....
Excellent summer reading. Action, disturbing reality-based activities of law enforcement while we sleep comfortably in our beds... Highly enjoyable reading.

A wake-up call...
Once you get through this book, and realize that this man has LIVED this experience, it makes you wonder just what the hell our government thinks it's doing. Also makes you grateful that people like him are still willing to stick their necks out despite the fact that these folks are routinely left hanging, so to speak. Not ONLY is this book a thriller, but it's a wake up call to those "patriots" who are still blind enough to believe that either the Democrats OR the Republicans have their best interests in mind.

A Must Read Adventure Novel
Mike Levine has led a life of mythic proportions and this book is a glimpse into many real life events that he has experienced.

Adds a new dimension to the term conspiracy theory.
