Update Your Knowledge and Grow Yourself
You know what you know - don't you? Do you know what you don't know? You probably know by now everything the teachers told you in school was not true, a product of ignorance or just plan wrong (if not then you are indeed in for a shock with this book). Get ready to learn some truth from this book. These authors are not shy about being straight forward with their assertions, for example: "...just about everything archaeologists have ardently believed about ancient America is wrong" or "Finally, it is important for readers to understand that the vast majority of 'facts' recorded in history books about ancient America simply aren't true. Since 1997, almost all of the most sacred 'truths' in academic archaeology have been proven false by archaeologists willing to risk their reputation and academic standing." The authors report, "...the events that occurred in the Americas in the remote past were far more complex than had ever been imagined." This work of Greg Little, John Van Auken and Lora Little further the 1960s adage "question authority" while following the key principle of get your facts straight and document your facts. This book is a shot across the bow of established archaeology, anthropology, history, political correctness, and those who think of psychic phenomena in general and the famous American psychic Edgar Cayce as nothing but nutty business perpetrated by nutty people. The evidence is very carefully presented in this book. This evidence will be very difficult for the orthodox scientist to reject if they are interested in truth and the scientific method. I bet your teachers did not teach you about Atlantis, Mu, and ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Japanese or the Lost Tribes of Israel involvement in ancient America and how that influenced the mound building cultures of America (shucks, my teachers never even told me about mound builders period). Your teachers may have mentioned the Norse people visited America a few hundred years before Columbus - although they probably did not tell you of evidence of the Norse being in Oklahoma! Mine sure did not. The authors are intellectually honest saying clearly when the evidence is lacking and/or Cayce was wrong (not that Cayce ever claimed to be infallible). For me the underlying context of this book is spiritual. Yes I was interested in the archeology, anthropology, historical and educational aspects of this book, however, the book gives rational/scientific evidence that support spiritual concepts that I have interest in as well. All the above is a long way to say I found the book a good factual read and food for though that will grow me spiritually. Who could ask for more than that from a book?

A Review by: Catherine MacDonald, author of "Heaven Knows"
"What we think and what we eat - combined together - make what we are, physically and mentally, (Edgar Cayce reading 288-38) When "Nourishing the Body Temple" first arrived in my home, I placed it on the bottom of my reading pile, and sighed, "another book on nutrition." I have read many, and have a good collection in my personal library, so I was in no rush to read yet another. It was a few days later at our local (Edgar Cayce) Search for God study group, that the book was brought back to my attention. It was the talk of the group. "Wonderful book, beautifully executed, fantastic collection of nutritional insights, easy to read, everything I always wanted to know," were a few of the excited comments. Well, with that introduction, I had to elevate the book to the top of my reading pile. And as I have discovered, well it should have been. The Cayce readings gave the world an unprecedented source of insights on how food energies interact with body, mind and spirit to create health or illness; Simone Gabbay has assembled these for us in this wonderful collection of nutritional guidelines and cooking instructions and complemented them with her own expertise as a professional nutritionist. Simone has given us a comprehensive diet and nutritional guide explaining topics such as enzymes, pH balance, vitamins, minerals, food combining, vegetarian diet and food as medicine. She has included helpful information on fats and oils, cooking methods and the alkaline diet so often referred to in the Cayce readings. To quote from the book, "The task of sustaining the body, through proper nutrition and other measuers, thus becomes a spiritual responsibility. It becomes a goal fueled by the sacred purpose of empowering the soul --the God-self of each individual -- to more perfectly express and experience the full spectrum of its divine attributes". The Cayce readings tell us that we should have reasonable concern for our diet, as in reading 1909-2 "The diet - as the body sees and understands - is as necessary (an) element as any that may be chosen. As the body builds mentally, so may the body build physically by the choice of those foods or valuations from same that will sustain or maintain - that proper relationship between mental, a spiritual, and even physical forces in same." I personally wish to thank Simone for giving us this wonderful spiritual and practical guide to nutrition. Now, when a discussion arises in our family about foods and methods of cooking, we have a standard quip, "What does Simone say?" Then out comes the book, now our kitchen bible, and we look it up. Recently, our family had a great debate about what solid food our baby grandson should be started on. In unison came, "What does Simone say?" Simone gives us a whole chapter on "Nutritional Needs for Special Times and Circumstances". Wonderfully insightful and, surprise; one of the first solid foods for baby is the yolk from a soft boiled egg. I never would have guessed that one. This is a book that you have to read for yourself to appreciate its value. It has something for everyone. Thank you Simone for "Nourishing the Body Temple", your gift to all of us. God Bless.....

The healing properties of castor packs.
Dr. William McGarey has used castor packs for over 30 years in his medical practice. His book, The Oil that Heals, is a detailed text on McCarey's research on the history of castor packs and their miraculous effect on such diseases as cancer, hepatitis, arthritis, migraines, and digestive disorders. McGarey integrates much of Edgar Cayce's knowledge of the miraculous castor plant and his extraordinary knowledge of the human body and physiology. The book is well researched and filled with case histories from patients and physicians. The Oil that Heals is a must-read for any one serious about healing their body and getting maximum benefits from this ancient oil.

Unknown history.
By researching the Edgar Cayce readings, Todeschi has compiled a story of an ancient society in Persia (now Iran) that existed over nine thousand years ago. This society had advanced healing methods and a spiritual emphasis that gave birth to the Zoroastrian religion.

It didn't change my life, but it changed the way I view life
The Bible,Battle for the Mind and A Seer out of Season are my 3 top lifetime books.
A Seer out of Season is a sensitive portrayal of the life of a most remarkable, yet very ordinary, man. You get the full picture, together with warts. No over-sentimental, hero-worship here. Just a simple story, simply told - and simply full of wonder.
I remember well the author quoting Cayce as saying, "I do nothing you can't do." A remarkable
assertion when you see what Cayce did.
And you will see what Cayce did if you read this book. It will change your view of self, life and
eternity.
Looking for a meaning to it all? Then have a read of this. You will find it cuts across all the boundaries and unites the mind and soul in a harmony you couldn't think existed. Journey into the new you and the new world of you with this book.

Informative and Refreshing
Anyone who has grown up under the wing of traditional Christianity, supressing every sexual thought and desire out of fear of hell and damnation will find themselves breathing much easier after reading this book. This book provides a practical and responsible view of the role spirituality plays in healthy sexual relationships, based on the readings of Edgar Cayce. If nothing else, it may provide a more solid foundation on which to build a healthier relationship.

Soul Development - Edgar Cayce's Approach for a New World
Thank the powers that be, that there's Kevin Todeschi and that he continues to write such clear and inspirational books, like « Soul Development. » It didn't take reading more than three pages of his latest book for me to begin to remember what is most important in my life and begin to untangle the confusion that I habitually surround myself in. Edgar Cayce may be gone but at least Todeschi brings a here-and-now relevance and comprehension of Cayce's insights to my life, how and where I live it. What a blessing. And with each new book a different aspect of myself and of how to get along in the world is explored. If Mr. Todeschi didn't keep writing new books, I'd just have to read his others over and over again.

Very thought-provoking
I picked this off the bookshelf at a bookshop and it is certainly one of the better books I have come across to help oneself work out onefs soul purpose in life. This slim volume doesnft go into specifics of which path to follow, but through various exercises and examples of other people, leads you to discover what are your strengths and weaknesses. Using this as a base and through meditation and further exercises you can find what feels right for you. It does not necessarily mean finding the perfect job, but finding something in your life that fulfils you. One point that is not often dealt with by other similar books is that finding meaning in our own lives should not be self-centered: we should also include some form of service to others. Most of all, finding fulfillment does not mean we must all be high achievers and have some visible form of success. We can each find meaning and fulfillment in our lives by living our soulfs purpose, which is unique to each and everyone and which in turn complements that of those around us.
