Terrible-- don't buy it!
Wow-- what a disappointment this book was! Usually, I enjoy books from ARE Press; out of all the New Age books published, its selections are almost always the most insightful and mind blowing. This book, however, was the exception. It not only barely went into a deep explanation of synchronicity, it had very questionable and weak "readings" for each of the hexagrams in the second half of the book. This is a very poor, shoddily put together work on the I-ching, and the publishers should be ashamed to have even brought it to light.

More Cayce than Jung
A light introduction to synchronicity that pays more attention to the prophecies and teachings of Edgar Cayce than the theories of Carl Jung, this book is far from an absolute text on the subject. The author even refers to occurences as being "synchronous", instead of the proper "synchronistic". It also contains a poor translation of the I Ching. I didn't find this one very helpful, and would recommend instead "The Power of Flow", a book that has much more of a grasp on the essence of synchronicity than this one.

Using Synchronicity to Access Inner Wisdom
Unlike other reviewers of this book, I liked it. Mark Thurston's guidebook teaches how to use synchronicity to access our inner wisdom and answer our questions. I didn't have three weeks to practice the eight-step program, so I tried the method in a shorter period of time. By the time I had finished the book, I had learned about synchronicity, focused on my spiritual goal, formed a question, practiced the exercises and had a meaningful response from the I Ching "with parallel wisdom from the Edgar Cayce readings." If that offends you, don't buy it. If you are open to Cayce, the exercises are powerful. For example, how do you identify your spiritual ideal? Thurston had me recalling peak experiences and remembering feelings from when synchronicity had worked in the past. The energy from this and the other exercises helped me receive and trust my insights from the I Ching/Cayce messages. I will keep this book and refer to it often.

Edgar Cayce's Massage Hydrotherapy and Healing Oils

Edgar Cayce's Massage Hydrotherapy & Healing Oils
Drawing from the information given through Edgar Cayce, America's most famous psychic, the material presented is helpful in that it provides a background to the methods which Cayce's guides, or as some think, his Higher Self, extracted from the Akashic records. The material covers the uses of oils, with notations for tracing the information back to the source readings.

While the illustrations are of use, it is important to understand a key Cayce concept, that of - the coordination of the nervous systems... This may not be as clearly stated as it might, but it remains as of underlying importance as to what the readings had to offer.

Throughout the Cayce material, over 9,000 of the 14,000 readings were on health issues alone, the coordination of the nervous systems was critical to the progress towards healthful conditions. Additionally, the use of the various formulated oils in combination with the massage techniques especially focusing upon the spinal areas, brings great relief for a large number of conditions.

I gave this a two star because its scope is limited. Limited in that there is so much more that could have been related from the readings to make it a more valuable piece of work. Its downfall is in that it relates the material garnered from the relationship between the authors and the doctor mentioned - Reilly, rather than with Edgar Cayce. And that it has not been updated with a fresh eye to editing for the antiquated speech patterns from the earlier part of the last century.

So, the efforts to extract from the readings - in computer technology terms - a bit of reverse engineering, did not go sufficiently deep.

However, I can still recommend the text for its illustrations and oil formulations.

Can we get a sentence?
This book contained less than 10 complete sentences. Making it hard to read. Which was distracting.

I was hoping after the first five pages that somewhere along the line an editor had stepped in and fixed this problem, but they hadn't. I found this to be so annoying that I could barely finish the book! I did finish the book, and I agree with another reviewer that it was boring and mostly a rehash of other earlier books by Mr. Stern. This is lamentable, because it is an interesting topic that could draw in many readers, exposing them to Edgar Cayce and the great work he did. Instead it seems to equate Mr. Cayce with illiteracy.

Boring regurgitation of Jess Stearn's Other Books on Cayce
I found this book to be extremely boring with no valuable information about the millenium... just more information repeated from this author's other books on Cayce. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

Don't waste your money or time
This book is a joke. 99% of it the text is nothing but the New Testament, with about 2 pages of actually Cayce readings. I am really surprise by ARE Press. Other books of their's I've read are quite rewarding. Don't waste your time or $12.95, read the Bible instead.

Pseudoscience of the worst sort..........
To be fair to this book, I must admit I have not read the entire book in detail...though the reason is that I found the book unreadable. I borrowed the book from the library, as I was reading a number of texts dealing with the philisophical implications of quantum physics, but was dismayed to find this book is a hodge-podge of 19th century physics and 20th century 'new-age-rhetoric'. Perhaps an exerpt from the section dealing with colours will give a clue to the writing style: Red is the male force. This color is represented by C and C#. The male force is expansive, energetic, doing, building, expressive. Red is the color given Adam, the first materialized Man. This is the beginning point of material manifestation. Energy always manifests in a triangular fashion, i.e., a single source manifesting in a dual nature or way. Hence from this position the next color to be manifest is Blue or the female color. This has been eternally symbolized as Eve taken from the twelfth rib of Adam.
