The author, Virginia Fields has lovingly written her insights and inspirations that help seekers of any age find enlightenment and tread their spiritual path to God. After trying many years to study the original "Search for God" texts channeled by Edgar Cayce, I find "Beginning the Search" is not only easier to read, but more relevant to my spiritual needs. Each lesson or chapter in the book ends with spiritual growth activities the reader can use to integrate the teachings into his or her daily life. Individuals or groups who study this material will not only improve their lives, but will help change the world.

I really enjoyed this Edgar Cayce guide to dream interpretation. It has something for everyone. I use the symbol dictionary section on a regular basis, but Mark Thurston makes it clear that dream interpretation involves much more than just looking up symbols. I've learned several methods for analyzing and understanding my dreams. Now I can tell when my dreams are desire & fear produced, problem presentations, or compensatory dreams. As an Edgar Cayce guide, the book also explains dream application. In other words, Cayce and Thurston (and Carl Jung) believe we need to act responsibly by applying what we learn from our dreams to our waking lives. A REAL challenge! This book is a "must have" for all students of dream interpretation!

This book is a good shortcut past trial and error. It's a bit depressing that a lot of the foods, activities and attitudes we grow up with arn't good for us but it's nice to know what they are. With knowlage one has the ability to plan and re-invent ways to live better.

If you would like to know the effects of your actons, attitudes or foods, this book is for you.

This is the most thorough and natural book on eating the best foods for health and healing that I've ever read; and I have read many of them. This is in no way a diet book for weight loss, but a book about eating naturally to prevent or cure whatever is bothering you/your system. It is simple to use--just look up your problem, and you will get a specific food to eat to combat it based on the Edgar Cayce readings(the health readings are well-documented and the cures proven effective as evidenced by the letters written back to Edgar Cayce from thankful and thrilled adults and children who were cured whose evidence can be found in other Cayce material). If you can find this book, buy it immediately. It is an excellent reference book for any library.

For those searching to understand the relationship between the conscious, sub-conscious and super-conscious self, this book is a "must read". Henry Reed takes the reader logically through each state and explains how one works with the other. He does so in a way which any reader can relate in the most personal sense. Then he leads the reader to understand how we can apply our ideals to create the reality and direction we wish for our lives in future. This book made absolute sense to me in my search for spiritual understanding. I have given over 40 copies of this book to friends and acquaintances and it has transformed the thinking of many of them.

This book is one of the best in the 'Edgar Cayce on' series and should be put back in print, on the bookstands, etc. Much of EC's prophecies will be seen as the millinnium unfolds and Mary Ellen's book 'EC on Prophecy' gave us a preview.

I wasn't particularly interested in "psychic" experience or even religion when I came across this book at a used book store, but the presentation in such a lyrical manner of how life can be lived with more quality, kindness, and depth leaps from the pages into your heart and changes your life. I buy every copy of this book I can find and give it to those I care about. On any page you open it to, there are marvelous thoughts for understanding the process of life and getting your spirit lifted. This book makes me wish I had the privilege of knowing the author, what a remarkable soul he must be!

This is a book I have read many times. It is about Edgar Cayce and it tells you the story how he developed his ability to tell about previous events (and even future)in a self-hypnotic state. He didn't understand how this could come about but he thought that in one way or the other everything that had happened or even was only thought or said was remembered in the ether and could be stored in some Akaish records and be accessed by everybody who had developed that ability. This book tells about how he started to talk about the dead sea scrolls 15 years before they were found, and he could impossibly have known about them, because he had never been there. He told where they could be found, what was written in them, who wrote it and also a lot about the big role that was played by some women, unknown to previous history. This is a wonderful book. Read and contemplate. Take a deep breath and enjoy, it will be a delight for you. It is so sad that the book no longer is available, it is one of my favorite books. It just have to be reprinted.

You can get healing, invigorating, relaxing, regenerating tips based on general techniques Cayce recommended for specific illnesses. The advice on food and diet is as contemporary as today's headlines--such as the benefits of olive oil, red wine, less red meat, no deep fried foods, steel cut oats. This book helped save my life. I recommend it
