If you could give 6 stars, this book would have it!
This book is my all time favorite book! In the beginning it's a little hard to follow, but keep reading and you're hooked! I love how the childern are the stars of the book. The way Bruno talks is soo cute! This book touches on very natural things, but it presents them in a wonderfully different view. It has a feel to it that no other book has. The plot is there, but it's very vague so that the book is very relaxed and open-minded. If you like Sylvie and Bruno, Sylvie and Bruno Concluded is a must! My favorite part of the book is how wonderfully it concludes and leaves you perfectly content, yet a little bit of wonder still lingers. From all angles, this book is one of a kind!

Perfect Election Year Briefing on the Economy
Carroll's Desk Reference on the Economy is comprehensive, issues oriented and balanced. These qualities make it great for getting up to speed for economic issues in the 2000 election. The sections on Social Security, Environment, Taxes and Presidential performance measures are especially strong. The Q&A format works well. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get more out of the news.

Smart advice, no lawyer jokes.
When I was divorced last year and had to find a lawyer for the first time, this book saved me lots of frustration (and probably lots of time and money). It's very useful -- and it's even fun to read. The author's one smart guy. Everyone ought to have this book handy, because sometime, everyone has to hire a lawyer for something. Don't do it without this book.

A Dialogue With Divinity: New Wisdom for a New Era

A book that will truly change your life!
Reading this book will be one of the most extraordinary experiences of your life! Similiar in tone to the "Conversations with God" series, this book is like finding some incredible secret about the true nature of the Universe. The author, Johanna Carroll, does a great job of presenting the information in a very accessible form, but it's the book's true authors, the Council of the Annointed Masters of Illumination, that will blow you away. They talk about love, peace and paradise and the world's true intention.

This is the world we were all meant to live in and finally, there's a book that shows you how to live your life to get there. This book will change every perception you've ever had about what we're all really doing here and what life's purpose is meant to be.

This book is meant to be savored and read again, and again and again. It is truly a spiritual classic and belongs on the bookshelf of anyone who wants to live a life full of purpose, meaning and understanding.

Menander: The Moliere of the Hellenistic World
The Dyskolos was written by the playwright Menander in Greece during the Hellenistic period(around the time of the worldwide reign of Alexander the Great and his successors), a period which is not easily defined insofar as when it begins and ends. However, all scholars tend to agree that the artistic output during the Hellenistic period is characterized by extreme pathos, originality, and realism.

Menander's vibrant and funny play, being no exception to the definition above, is a Comedy of Manners, an ensemble production with a lot in common with the zany skits of Saturday Night Live and sharp sitcoms like Seinfeld and Married with Children. The main character, an old hardworking farmer named Knemon (he is The Dyskolos, which translates from Greek into something like crumudgeon or bad-tempered) is forced to abandon his life of hard-work and solitude when his daughter Myrrine (a Juliet with no lines) falls in love with a rich kid (a buff Romeo) down the corner. What follows is nothing less than a wonderfully enjoyable screwball comedy. You'll have fun reading it while you giggle.

The nifty colorful style and comfortable feel of the book is also quite attractive, as it always distinguishes itself from other books on the bookshelf, even though the book, containing text coupled with introduction and endnotes, is only about 100 pages long.

Browsing through Moulton's other titles, I noticed his special interest in music, and his Dyskolos also contains postulations describing the type of music the Greeks played during the interludes of these plays; Moulton also explains in his preface why he wrote his translation in meter, pointing out in his preface that Menander was first and foremost a Greek poet who wrote all of his plays in verse, just as the Greek dramatists Aeschlyus, Sophokles, and Euripides had done so before him.

And Menander, writing in the tradition of those great Greek writers before him, possesses eloquence equal to the Athenian tragedians, although he seems to have eschewed their lofty and formal dialogue in favor of a more everyday style which seems to mirror the colloquial diction of the street and marketplace.

Books like this deem the classics irresistible.

Your guide really helped to make our trip memorable
My husnand and I recently spent our honeymoon in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, Canada and enjoyed very much many of the places recommended in Traveler's Eastern Canada Companion. Hotels, restaurants, points of interest: this guidebook helped to make our trip one that we will remember fondly for years.

Beautiful Southern Style
In the editorial review the reviewer writes "In a perfect world, all social events would be as elegant and gracious as the parties on display in Entertaining with Southern Style...Alas, not many of us have the ways and means." While I agree with that statement, I must say as a born and bred Southerner, I know that not everyone in the South has the ways and means to put on these lavish parties, but what Southerners do have is a true hospitality and graciousness that comes cross in entertaining. This is the essence of Entertaining with Southern Style and it comes across beautifully through the pages of this book.

For real student of Victorian underground writing
Its lady pokingham at it again in a series of short stories that were first published in the underground victorian press as a series of six novelettes ... covering 115 pages ..

This book is the James Jennings compilation and it is chock full of erotic short scenes since the weekly or monthly magazines didn't have much space to really develop characters ...
Most of the stories deal with young girls with enough agressiveness to intiate their sexual awakenigs by seducing men much older then themselves ....

The book as well contains about 20 or so pages of ribals poems that the readers of that era enjoyed.

Its an Ok read but probably only for the real connoisseur or something like that ...
